  1. But still. I think talent alone he is a 2nd running back
  2. What happened to him? What a drop off I never thought he was great by any means but I always thought he was a solid backup
  3. I somewhat bought that until was it Alshon Jeffrey who had and played with the same injury? But then proceeded to rip it In the playoffs/superbowl lol
  4. I forgot about Castillo still being here:(
  5. I for one would love Allen to start and beat out Mccaron for the opening job as that would be a great sign for the future. But if he doesn't, then let's hope Mccaron lights it up. Allen is the future, so if Mccaron plays well, then you have some serious trade value for 2019 as he has a very low base salary
  6. Rick Dennison being there was a major factor for their offence being bad in my opinion, and even though I think their offence won’t be good next year, I just don’t think they can be as atrocious as last year. (Even though they did lose some good o lineman)
  7. Over I think, but barely. I’m thinking 7 and 9
  8. I am sure they knew LA would be a potential landing spot for him, so they traded up and didn't want to risk it waiting
  9. No way I see him being better than Bell next year. Bell can literally do anything at a very high level
  10. What type of player is he? More of a run stuffer, or can he generate pass rush? Or both? lol
  11. So Cardinals did prefer Allen over Rosen as well?
  12. No sense risking it. In 15 years if Allen turns out to be big ben and has a hall of fame career, are you actually going to care that the Bills traded 2 second round picks to get him?
  13. They got in their minds a franchise QB for only 2 second round picks, and swapped draft picks with Ravens to get one of the best LBS in the draft. How could you possibly be mad at that strategy? Regardless if you wanted rosen or allen. I thought for sure they would have to give up AT LEAST 2 first rounders to get their QB
  14. Gotta give the kid a chance though. You certainly may be right but he hasn't even played a snap in the NFL yet. I get that he has red flags and I understand the concerns, but I just don't see why its necessary to rip on him when he literally hasn't even been a Bill for 1 full day
  15. I agree. I’m a little nervous about Darnold to the Jets though. I think I would have preferred Mayfield going there. (Although I do know the jets were very interested in him)
  16. I’m on board with Allen. The upside he has is so exciting. Can he put it together? That’s obviously the 100 million dollar question
  17. You have very reasonable points
  18. Seattle signed Charlie Whitehurst to be the bridge in 2012 for more money than AJ even In the modern day cap, and Wilson ended up winning the job. Combined that with teams throwing rookies more into the fire, there is absolutely no guarantee who starts week 1
  19. All season? I disagree with that. You may be certainly be right about week 1. But if AJ stinks up the joint and the Bills start off 1-6, there is a strong chance Allen would see game action
  20. Was Mccaron's deal a 1 year or 2 year deal? I can't remember. Was it 2 years at 12 mil or something?
  21. You very may well be correct. But Mccaron is signed for dirt cheap. The Bills in no way are heavily invested in him for this year.
  22. Great post and very true
  23. Fair points. I was always old school in terms of letting the VET start until last year when l I saw what Houston did. Started Tom Savage then went to Watson and worked out great until the injury. I get the scenarios are completely different, but maybe their best bet is just to let the kid learn. Allen is the future and Mccaron is just the place holder Beane said he wants open competition in camp. Mccaron is virtually signed for backup money
