  1. Welp, things didn't exactly shake out the way I wanted them to. Guys were reaching for RBs and I tried my best to stay the course and take BPA early, leading to a basically zero RB draft: DeAndre Hopkins Adam Thielen Zach Ertz James White Tyler Boyd Juju (Keeper) Darrell Henderson Devin Singletary Matt Brieda Courtland Sutton Josh Allen Gus Edwards Justin Tucker JJ Arcega-Whiteside (bit of a flyer here because he's lighting it up in preseason) Jay Ajayi (again, took a flyer because there were rumors on Twitter that night that he was signing with the Texans... more upside than any available 15th rounder Guys in my league were reaching for RBs and some doubling down on QBs and TEs in strange ways. Was hoping to take Hockenson late but I got jumped. Didn't really want a TE that early, but Ertz was best value in the mid third. Will of course be dropping someone for a D by the time the season actually starts. So all told I need a boost at my RB position. Thrilled with my WRs of course and can use them to either trade for a RB or just keep the depth and use my FAAB bucks when the opportunity arises. Right now two trade offers have been made to me: Hopkins for Dalvin Cook straight up Kelce and Ingram for Ertz and Juju I think in both cases my team gets slightly better if only due to the glaring need I have at RB, but I am certainly not the winner in those trades. Do you guys think I should take one of those, or should I stand my ground and ride my elite pass catchers (and hopefully breakout QB!) until something breaks my way?
  2. One of Shady or Yeldon will not be on this team. I don't think we are going to roster four RBs.
  3. Agreed the latter would be the ideal trade and I think that is what they are angling for. And from the reports, it sounds like we have what they are looking for (depth WR, new RB). For sure, just don't think we are desperate.
  4. The thing is you have to go for it when your QB is on his rookie contract if you believe in him. He might not get you there, but you gotta throw down some coin to get the rest of the pieces in place and give him a shot to prove himself. That being said, I do like our DL depth so far. I don't think they will overpay the Texans.
  5. I'm all for that! Let's go get it! QB on his rookie contract, you gotta load up the roster and go. They believe in Josh. It's time.
  6. OK, third year of my highly competitive league starts tonight. I'm not happy with my draft slot (6). We have keepers and naturally that affects how the first round shakes out. These keepers include: McCaffrey, Davante, Conner, Chubb, Kerryon, Mahomes and Kittle. I am keeping Juju as a 6th round pick, which I am happy with. The way the board looks like it is falling, I am looking at maybe Julio, Bell or Thomas as the BPA, with the chance that Zeke slips due to the holdout. Who would you draft here? I'm exploring trading down (possibly just a first and second swap with the 11th pick) and would be targeting Dalvin Cook there, who I like a lot but would be a reach at 6 and will go before my second round choice as well. If I can't ***** Cook or Mixon I may have to play zero RB strategy. Outside of tips on who to draft in my first couple rounds, who are you guys targeting late as sleepers and who are you avoiding altogether?
  7. I would trade the entire Dolphins roster for Clowney.
  8. Interesting that they are saying he doesn't love the game anymore and that's the main reason.
  9. So cray!
  10. Kinda bizarre that this news is breaking in the middle of a home game.
  11. Wowowowowow
  12. Mario was unfortunately dealt a couple bad DCs in his time here but for a few years he was dominant. Don't think he was a bad signing.
  13. My best guess is that - as it was pretty clear they were emphasizing the run game - they were seeing what they had in Ike there. Teller is a good run blocker and they know what they have there. Maybe Ike has leaped him though.
  14. You really think Shaq should be starting over Hughes and not opposite? Otherwise, I agree that he has looked good and I think he's been properly motivated in his contract year. Hope we can agree on a reasonable extension if he keeps this up. Duke looks like an NFL player out there. Contested catches I don't think any other WR on the team can make plus excellent blocks. If he doesn't make our team, I think he makes another. But I hope he sticks here. Brown-Beasley-Jones-Williams-McKenzie-Foster-Roberts. Maybe we trade Jones or Foster, maybe we cut one after Kroft comes off PUP? Foster has not been getting work in or taking advantage of his chances whenever they were (I do believe he was the target on that terrible INT which is obviously not the chance you want out there). He flashed too much last year to be an easy PS stash again but that also means we could try to trade him (Cian Fahey be damned).
  15. You know we did. And he's right.
  16. They are clearly practicing the run game. It isn't a dress rehearsal.
  17. I already don't remember what happened!
  18. I had more fun watching Matt Simms throw the ball the wrong way.
  19. I actually think he did that successfully once.
  20. hey that INT won't be on the stat sheet yay!
  21. Oh no is Josh growing a stache too now?
  22. This is less fun than the first half of that Broncos/Niners game.
  23. Great throw. I'd call it a fumble easy.
