I mean, if you saw Wentz last year, how he was making checks at the line and calling audibles from the start and compare that to how Goff is right now having his coach call the audibles for him through the headset, it makes sense that they would be making a claim like this. Wentz looks like the real deal, while I'm still not sure Goff isn't Nick Foles in Chip Kelly's system. But, of course, time will tell.

Definitely too far down the road to think about just yet. If we move Cordy to RT and he gets healthy, we can theoretically pay Dawkins and retain Cordy. It remains to be seen what other vets or prospects could come our way in FA/draft in 2019-20.

You kept him after Watson went down? I gave him one week and dropped him. There is some truth to the availability thing, but if he and Watson maintain that chemistry next year they will continue to do damage. Of course, it's worth noting that the Texans have two first round receivers, though both were taken on the back end of round one. In fairness, Davis, Williams and Ross all missed extended time this year. But I am happy that Zay has been given time on the field this year to work through some of his issues. Hoping he really turns it up next year.

They will be addressing the DL on free agency and the draft, no doubt. DT is top priority. Hughes is good and Lawson may never be a complete, top-tier DE but he has value and still has time to work on his pass rush. If Lorax stays and we opt to use him as a pure pass rusher that might buy us some time to find a stud DE in the next year's draft, but too soon to speculate there.

Think they had the right game plan going into it. The INT and the miss on the Webb throw are plays that needed to go the other way for us. The second half started to get away from us but we'd have been right there in it.
