I could too. However, if the Titans go 9-7, as long as the win is this week and not next week, we jump them in the standings. Mainly, root for the Bills and against the Chargers.

Because the most likely outcome is that the Ravens go 10-6 and us and the Chargers go 9-7. If the Titans lose out we lose the head to head tiebreaker to Chargers. If Tennessee goes 9-7 as long as they don't beat the Jags, we win the three way tiebreaker. That being said, a Chargers and Titans loss would be best. It just isn't likely.

That game and Jets/Chargers, man. Either one goes a long way in securing our spot. With as tough as the Jets have been playing everyone (including with Petty last week), I can see them stealing a W from the Chargers. I really hope they do.

There are a lot of equally likely scenarios that get us in, but I fear the most likely is the one where only us and the Chargers finish 9-7. Just gotta be patient and see how week 16 plays out. Remaining hopeful. Petty and the Jets gave the Saints a fight it's not impossible to think the Jets can't steal another W.

I think it would have been hard for anyone to look at the players we were about to roll out in the secondary and say it was going to be a strength. Micah Hyde had been relatively successful but not a household name, Poyer a seventh-round pick in 2013 with ten career starts coming off an injury, EJ Gaines a 2014 sixth-round pick who did well in his rookie year but had injury problems since and Tre White, a polished rookie but not a name anyone was really excited about before the draft. Oh and Leonard Johson, a UDFA who only played half a season with McD. But they are clicking and playing really well. And most of them are already locked in on team-friendly deals for the next few years! Now let's do the same with the LBs and DL.
