  1. Man I get we didn't wanna pay him that much, but dammit if he wouldn't have made this team so much better.
  2. Think I read it will be 21 or 22.
  3. Mariota lays the block for the win!
  4. Ballsy call. Chiefs D needs to come up big now.
  5. Sort of. They probably have the best tackle tandem in the league. Nice throw from Mariota there.
  6. Can't see Tennessee beating New England or Pittsburgh. Would prefer a Chiefs win but I'm glad they made a game out of it.
  7. Wow. We have a game!
  8. Gus Bradley is the foil to Marrone. Very likeable guy, terrible head coach. So likeable that he got four years somehow. Marrone is not a coach that players feel chummy with, but he knows how to coach. It was similar to Rex here. Rex was more a more polarizing character of course, but again he was a so-called players coach that lost the will to do the hard work. If we didn't have the roster turnover this year I think we would have done better, but I am very pleased with the outcome of McDermott's first year and hope it continues as we build more talent into roster.
  9. Whaley is an excellent scout but his roster building skills were suspect. I think he deserves another chance somewhere, maybe a slightly lesser position and then work his way back to GM. With all the instability at HC and the ownership change in his tenure I do think it's fair to say he wasn't to blame for everything that went wrong.
  10. That is the key matchup. They have as good of a secondary but Tyrod won't let them take the ball from us.
  11. Agreed. And I think this bunch is scrappy and is really going to embrace the underdog role as they did in the regular season.
  12. Maybe. But I don't feel like Sal or Fairburn or any of the other local guys have bothered to say they aren't a fan. I think guys like Rodak and writers for national publications might feel more obliged to be objective but Joe B has always been local. So I too found it a little weird. He has worked hard for his career but part of me kind of resents that a guy who apparently doesn't care gets to do what he does. Why is he a Bills beat writer?
  13. More than the coaches we have had over the past years, McDermott has really connected his players to the city and its fans. "One Buffalo" means something. They play for us like they are one with us and part of something bigger than just a game. It's awesome. As a current Seattle resident myself, it's totally true. The twelves think they are the greatest thing to happen to any city ever.
  14. I have been wondering about this. Hope we show Boyd some love too.
  15. Oh come on you know the answer to that one.
  16. My seats are better and I'm only asking for $25 more than Wayne.
  17. Great idea. I will fill some in now and edit it when I am home from vacation. You guys have much better memory and archival skills than me!
  18. Welcome And congrats to you too! Don't mind the little jabs. All defense mechanisms for some reason or another. I'm very happy to see the Jags in the postseason. Feel like it's been a few years now I've been like "I think Jacksonville is a dark horse in the AFCS" andnthey finally did it thanks to a much needed coaching change. Hackett was terrible here. He had no idea how to use CJ Spiller one year removed from a stellar 2012 campaign. Maybe it's EJ Manuel's fault some too. The way I see it is Marrone and Hackett want to run a power run offense and our players at the time were not suited for it. I know Marrone was against the Sammy Watkins move and it's interesting seeing the Jags offense utilize a variety of targets. It seems like every week a new Jags pass catcher has a big week. Marrone and Hackett don't want a star wideout they are obligated to force feed the ball. At least that's how it seems. Anyone understating your D is ridiculous. You are a loaded bunch. Think Tyrod is a good matchup because he protects the ball, but I worry that it will be at the expense of points. I imagine being very frustrated all game. Just hoping we can do our part on D to keep it close and maybe pull one out at the end.
  19. Not at all surprised. Injuries unfortunately came often and in the midst of great playoff runs.
  20. That's like 6,000 individual donations. Well done Bills fans! Bills mafia may be known for smashing tables, but we can also rally for a good cause too! Ha. Hopefully in the future other players will feel motivated to help our team out for these rewards!
  21. Absolutely, Hackett was very stubborn. It is interesting seeing their offensive philosophy working in Jacksonville with their roster. More pounding the rock and it seems like a new pass catcher has a big game every week (Marrone was very against the Watkins move). Still, CJ couldn't make it work in a Saints offense that almost seemed tailored for his skill set. And then by the time he reunited with Gailey in New York he ran out of juice.
  22. He was electric that year. Such a bummer he couldn't get it going since.
