  1. You can't say this when you don't know whether to use their, there or they're.
  2. I want Vita Vea to fall to us. I've seen plenty of mocks where he lands in Buffalo and I think that would be an extreme value pick. He is a beast.
  3. I wouldn't hesitate to bring him back to be a backup, knowing that our starter will absolutely get hurt as long as he is on the roster of course.
  4. Indeed he epitomized everything we love about a player. He played hard, never scared, smart, just physically a bit limited. He and Tyrod both are right there on the line between top-tier backup and below average starter. They have flashed various abilities but aren't the complete package. Wanted both to be the guy so badly.
  5. As I said in the main Wood thread, it was a questionable extension before we knew about the medical issue. Just hope that the FO revisits how they write up these contracts.
  6. The extension still seemed like a bad one at the time. It was over market value for a center that, frankly, was not outperforming the league at his position. I get that he was an exemplary Bill, team captain, etc. But it did seem unnecessary and expensive. I do agree that it is more of a bad luck situation, you know they're going to reevaluate how they go about extensions in the future.
  7. As I said in the other thread, Groy played very well when Wood went down last year. I think the staff knows and is comfortable plugging him in there. They don't need to put another position on the FA/draft priorities list this year.
  8. Agreed with the top. As for Groy, I thought he played really well after Wood broke his leg last season. I would think they feel comfortable plugging him in. I'm hopeful they don't feel as though they need to add the position to the top priority list.
  9. It is a good guess. The program is also very rigorous and demanding for players so they probably don't have much free time where they could make mistakes and learn from them. We are not talking Aaron Hernandez level stuff here. It's guys staying out late, getting caught with weed and I guess taking a phone charger that wasn't his? Probably some drinking involved. It just seems like some of these guys didn't have their college years and they are having them now.
  10. I feel like you need another dot in the title. I agree. It's best to let the pieces fall into place rather than force it. For instance, if we don't trade up for JP Losman in 2004, we'd have been able to take Aaron Rodgers with the 20th pick in 2005. We can add a vet and/or, frankly, restructure Taylor one last time (hate all you want but I bet Daboll will be able to embrace Tyrod's skill set much better than Rico) and flesh out the roster with the extra picks instead. That is the route I'd like to go, personally. But if we trade up and we hit on the guy, I wouldn't be mad.
  11. You can still use twitter without tweeting yourself. I have found it is useful for football stuff. When I load the page initially I get that black on blue too - on both my PC and my tablet - but eventually it clears up. Are you giving it time to load and it still isn't working?
  12. Wow, very in depth, but as a Bills fan those playcalls were quite familiar. Everyone I was with was yelling about the 1st and 2nd down runs leading to 3rd and 8.
  13. Bigger concern is that the Pats will get Gronk back. The Jags knocked him out of the game with the lead and it didn't matter.
  14. I sure hope they have a game plan and execution like that one in two weeks. The Eagles roster is good enough to get it done even if Foles doesn't have a game quite as good.
  15. Talked to a friend who is a Steelers fan. He hated Haley most, but did think this past week could have been used as an opportunity to make a change at HC too. We agreed that his teams are consistently undisciplined and he still makes too many poor choices in-game. Hard to ignore the numbers over 11 years, but you have the best receiver and back in the league, a hall of fame QB and three pro-bowlers on the line and you haven't been to the Super Bowl in 7 years?
  16. He is, but like Glenn, they are good players with injury concerns. Some dead money comes with a trade, it appears, but I'd think they wouldn't move Clay without getting a decent return.
  17. They got too close to just kick the field goal. The potential grounding did them in.
  18. Worst onside kick I've ever seen.
  19. They won't be in New England, don't worry.
  20. It's amazing how the Steelers can lose with that offensive talent.
  21. He is. Can they do it again against Belichick and Patricia?
  22. AB wow.
  23. Not a good call, but the Jags play rough so it was bound to happen at some point.
  24. Nice play!
