  2. hey now, take it easy on him. he's just trying to improve our team....Look at the new logo design in his avatar.
  3. True Fan here. I didn't know there were rules that had to be followed to be a true fan. Go Bills!!!!! With or without Drew!!!
  4. yesterday, I could hear my neighbor accross the street (Bronco Fan) yelling "GO!!! GO!!!!! GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" Man, I miss doing that for my team. I think the last time was last years 31-0 opening day game.
  5. Eckhart is dark in that movie. Just wrong what they did to that deaf girl. I love this part of the movie...the conference room scene..... (click on the bottom left clip under "Clips") http://www.sonypictures.com/classics/men/stillsclips-f.html

  7. Hey FISD, you might like this thread. allot of the same observations in the replies. http://205.134.161.85/forums/index.php?showtopic=4297
  8. MDH, you took the words right off my fingertips. Now how about this: EVEN DREW BLEDSOE HIMSELF knows that to make things happen, you have to be able to move a little bit, which he clearly can't do consistently. I was watching my TiVo'd "Sounds of the Game" from Broncos/Bills preseason. At halftime, Drew is sitting with Travis Brown in the locker room. (Earlier in the second qtr, Brown was all but sacked but threw on the run as he was going down and completed for a nice 1st down.) As they are sitting there Drew says to Travis B: "Nice job out there kid. Move around....scramble...make something happen....Good job." How ironic.
  9. Hi Crazy! Ya fVckin' wacko you
  10. I'm telling you. When I lived there and me and the guys saw a hot chick, we'd all nod and say "Not from here"
  11. Sling Blade I never thought I'd say I was a Dwight Yokam fan until I saw that movie.
  12. for the most part, i felt allot like you for a while. But the Allman Brothers have "Hittin the Note" out and there's Gov't Mule that will give you a floavor of the stuff you crave.
  13. it doesn't bother me. it's the action on the field i'm interested in.
  14. "Whatcha gonna do Sunday?" watch football of coarse. I'm a football fan 1st, Bills fan 2nd.
  15. i'm not American Indian, so it's not up to me to say whether it is offensive or not. I can have an opinion either way, but my vote doesn't count. The point here is the way the name FOR THE FOOTBALL TEAM came about. And that as described above, was not done in a demeaning way. As for me, I live in Arizona where there is a very strong Native American populus, and I know and work with some. One, happens to be a Wash Redskin fan. The others that I know don't take offense to it. That's not to say that all are ok with it. Me, I'm a Puerto Rican. Go ahead and name a team the Rochester Ricans. Slap a logo on the helmet of a dark skinned Warrior.....I won't be offended. But that's just me.
  16. I got slapped around on this board for saying that I thought the NFL team was honoring or complimenting American Indians by nicknaming themselves the Redskins. I thought it was a silly idea that a team would give themselves a nickname that would mock themselves. (Steve-Stojan, remember this?) well, lookie here: Indifference over Redskins name? WASHINGTON -- A poll of American Indians found that an overwhelming majority of them are not bothered by the name of the Washington Redskins. Only 9 percent of those polled said the name of the NFL team is "offensive," while 90 percent said it's acceptable, according to the University of Pennsylvania's National Annenberg Election Survey, released Friday. Annenberg polled 768 Indians in every state except Hawaii and Alaska from Oct. 7, 2003, to Sept. 20, 2004. The survey found little disparity between men and women or young and old. However, 13 percent of Indians with college degrees said the name is offensive, compared with 9 percent of those with some college and 6 percent of those with a high school education or less. Among self-identified liberals, 14 percent found the term disparaging, compared with 6 percent of conservatives. The franchise began in Boston as the Braves but was purchased in 1932 by George Preston Marshall, who changed the name to honor head coach William "Lone Star" Dietz, an American Indian. The team kept its monicker after moving to the nation's capital in 1937. The name and feather-wearing mascot have since been challenged. A panel of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office canceled the team's trademarks in 1999 on the grounds that the name disparages American Indians in violation of federal trademark law. But last year, a federal judge ruled the team can keep its name, finding insufficient evidence to conclude it is an insult to American Indians. Some Indian leaders are still pressing their case, noting that many schools with similar mascots referencing Indians have made name changes in recent years. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1888126
  17. i'm working on it......my current ball and chain HID THEM!!!! OR BURNED THEM... who knows. Tonya was one very tough act to follow. i'm trying to see if my buddy Kev has digital shots of her from his wedding reception a few years back.
  18. Live at Roseland Ballroom!!!! I love the instrumental "Trane". Seldom have I heard 3 guys play so tight as a unit as they do on that song. I saw them in April of this year. They came to Tempe's Marquee Theatre. AWESOME place to see a show, an old converted movie theatre. I also saw them in Scottsdale (Cajun Club) shortly after Woody died. They had Widespread Panic's bass player (don't know his name). When Warren plays, I get goose bumps. Nuff said. Oh, and check this out (new CD): http://stores.musictoday.com/store/product...5Fid=322&sfid=2 and this!!!!: http://www.mule.net/tracks.html
  19. I worked and lived in Boise for a couple years in the late 90's. I love that place. Gotta love the blue turf. I went to about 4 home games. I was watching tonight (well, took the old lady out for B-day dinner and they had it on) and I was amazed at how many people saw that blue field for the 1st time. And what a game!!! Hell of a streak going there. I also want to mention that they used to have a dog retrieve the kicking tee from the field. Not sure if they still do. I always thought that was kool. Great place to watch a football game and the people are quite nice out that way.
  20. I like Derek Jeter, but I really HATE him at times too. know what I mean?
  21. Speaking of "live" studio recording, Warren Haynes & Gov't Mule have always made it a point to record that way. btw, KOK, I have this Gov't Mule CD called "The Deep End - Vol 1". It was done as a tribute album for the late Allen Woody, their bass player. It came out in 2001. A lot of guest bassist and guitarists. Jerry Cantrell appears on it......only he doesn't play the guitar. He sings back up vocal on a tune called "Effigy". Best song on the CD. Starts off as a sluggish southern-rock/blues that erupts into a heavy footstomper in the Molly Hatchet mode. WOW. awesome tune and CD. the Mule rocks.
  22. i'm still "working" btw, we play each other in Fantasy this week. good luck....you'll need it
