  1. OUCH!!!! http://www.baltimoresun.com/media/photo/2003-12/10531666.jpg
  2. "Man, them dudes on the 1964 49ers Offense can't tackle for crap....and they slow too" - By Jim Marshall
  3. maybe this is just what they need. some contrast. I like Wade, but the one thing that always sticks with me is the decision to start RJ over DF in Tennessee. It made no sense to me then and still makes no sense now. Flutie deserved it all year long, and inexplicably got benched before the biggest game of the season.
  4. You sound like me, bro. I have always admired Jaws' unmatched analytical skills. This guy is the only one I place any trust in when it comes to talking X's and O's on ESPN. When they were looking for a MNF team the year they went with Miller and Fouts with Al, I picked Jaws. My color man was a goof pick (Fred Willard....Best in Show).....which I actually really think would have been better than Miller and Cornheiser....think about it...he'd wear loud outfits and just chime in with his weird thoughts....but I digress.. I love watching Jaws tear apart Merril Hodge on that one ESPN show. He just makes so much more sense and opens my eyes to so much more when breaking down offenses and defenses.
  5. I always hated the whole "So&So can't win the big game".....even when it applies to Dan Marino, who i despised. it's never one guy that wins ANY game, including the Super Bowl. It's the most misused football criticism. After any loss, the finger can get pointed at numerous individuals and coaches. anyway, I'm glad for Peyton and his team for winning the Lombardi.
  6. word! i always liked the Landry-led Cowboys. Great names on both sides of ball during that span. Randy White Roger Staubach Robert Newhouse Too Tall Harvey Martin DD Lewis Dorsette Drew and Preston Pearson i'm sure i left a few off the list.
  7. Super Bowl X, Dallas vs. Pittsburgh I was a fan of Roger Staubach and Robert Newhouse. Great game for sure! I was hooked on pro football from that day on. I was 9 years old and the super bowl was the day after my birthday.
  8. for what it's worth...(for me, belly button lint......) Kiper has us taking Leon Hall. says he's in the Ty Law mode of CB's...
  9. yeah, and funny how the guy who says Reed's SB performances should keep him out of the Hall. Can you imagine him saying Jim shouldn't be in the Hall? Get a rope! One other thing, if it wasn't for Reed, we wouldn't have been in ANY super bowl. There would be no "comeback" without him....
  10. I used to watch these guys play.....back when the Cowboys were actually a team to look up to... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...mp;lid=tab1pos1
  11. If Chicago is the better team, why did they lose to the Pats and the Colts didn't? Just messin with ya. There are many reasons one can believe that Bears will win. Here are three: 1) The Colts basically just played their SB. Maybe they peaked? 2) Grass vs. Art. Turf. 3) Special teams. If Hobbs was returning that way on the Colts coverage squad, how badly will Hester feast on them? Scary. But alas, the Colts have two of my favorite player.....Manning and Harrison. I'm pulling for them, and if they get it going, it could be a long day for the Bears D. This game is essentially a toss up in my eyes.
  12. damn straight. Love the Browns', Colts', Jets', and Steelers' look. Identity through classic simplicity. And let's not forget how the fans in San Diego (and nationwide) opened their wallets for the Powder Blue merch that resurfaced. If they were smart, they'd go there full time too.
  13. (Question: Do you think Nick Saban lies awake at 3:30 in the morning talking himself into the Joey Harrington Era and telling his wife, "You know, he was saddled with the worst receivers in the league in Detroit … and the crowd never gave him a chance … and he had three coaches in four years … and if his name was 'Joe' instead of 'Joey,' he'd sound much more competent … " as his wife keeps mumbling, "Go back to sleep, honey, go back to sleep."?) http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/061006
  14. "Coooooyyyyy, come here young man, I want to rub your head....I'm playing in a huge Hold-em tournament tonight, you lucky sumbitch"
