  1. haha. love it. Honestly, he's got a chance to succeed. He is lightning quick and has shown a bit more patience. But while a great game might be a reach, I'd actually be happy with just a good game showing some progress. I'd be really happy to see him get 20 carries or more. It doesn't seem like we're willing to commit that much to the running game.
  2. My expectation is that despite Denver's blue print, the Jets mediocre run D, and Spiller averaging 8 yards a carry in the first half...we'll go to the air in the second and lose on turnovers with Spiller finishing with 10-12 carries.
  3. Haha ok I admit I was thinking it was David Nelson when I wrote that. yug. My point really was that Peters wasn't going to play in Buffalo again, and at least we got Wood who is one of the few positive draft picks in the last few years.
  4. You can count me in as someone who's aware. I've got a bizarre Jets passing yards vs Bills passing yards bet. Don't ask. Not Sanchez vs Fitz mind you - Jets vs Bills. For the year, I was down roughly 35 yards when good old Thigpen comes strolling into the game with some 9 minutes to go in the fourth. So I'm thinking "Great! I mean, there's no way he can't get 35 yards in NINE minutes. That's like one Spiller screen pass with a good wiggle." Yeah. He definitely ended up with 6 total yards. Way to go. For those who want to play at home, the Bills are actually ahead of the Jets in total passing yards 2,208 to 2,179. Doesn't feel good down the stretch without Freddy's ~80yards receiving per game.
  5. Can't agree on Peters. He simply didn't want to be here. Don't forget the Bills traded him for 3 draft picks that resulted in Eric Wood, Shawn Nelson, and Danny Batten. As trades go, that one actually worked out fine.

  7. Made an Arthur Moats good luck pancake: http://p.twimg.com/AaM1kNQCEAAGR8a.jpg
  8. Gannon was horrible. On this play Fitz was clearly down and never lost the ball. Even on the slow motion replay he tried to invent a fumble that never occurred. He didn't understand the second timeout taken by Belichick and totally missed the first down on the unsportsmanship call. Terrible.
  9. It's fun for the Bills to make the rundown on PTI, but I can assure you from personal experience with the show they don't know anything about the Bills. Or care. And they'd freely admit it.
  10. I love Donald Jones making the fourth down conversion and breaking up the pick. what an unbelievable game.
  11. I want to believe this is true but searching the 'ol google for easley wing eating returns only this thread. So I have to continue to doubt it. But I want to billieve.
  12. As I mentioned in my original response, Don Banks sucks. This is the best he can say about the win: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/don_banks/09/11/week.1/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t11_a2
  13. because the team played like it matter for 60 minutes...well. The first 45 at least until it actually didn't.
  14. I wish I had a video feed of Warren Sapp walking around the studio with his puffed out chest. You know he's not going to let anyone forget who predicted a blow out.
  15. Just a note for anyone considering this. Originally they offered this to PS3 only customers. Buying through the PS3 is $339. Starting today you can now order Sunday Ticket-To-Go as a non-directv customer through DTV for $350: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/nflstonline/overview It's a bit of a scam. Based on the FAQs, you can can use your Sunday Ticket-To-Go login on your PS3 to watch. You can not, however, use your PS3 login on other devices. So in other words for $350 you can watch the games on your computer, ipad, iphone, ps3, etc. For $340 you can only watch on PS3. I'd imagine many people would prefer to spend the extra $10 for the additional devices.
  16. These guys generally don't know what they're talking about but I like anyone that's willing to make an unconventional pick. +1 for Sapp
  17. All he's going to say is "see, the top 7 players on our team wouldn't be in the top 7 of any other team" or something lame along those lines.
  18. With various leaks coming out you had to start thinking this could be for the year. You're not rushing Peyton back on the field; especially when you're talking about a neck surgery. That sucks. Football is definitely better with him playing. Someone else posted the crazy that the Colts could finish last and get luck. That would be crazy.
  19. So that makes it the best QB we've had to start for the team in years. Woo!
  20. Gailey (basically) promised me 19-0. Anything short of that will be a disappointment.
  21. What? I didn't start anything. You asked ME if I wanted to play poker and I said I didn't think you were ready. As I've explained, it's not the same question. I fully believe the game is as much mental as it is physical. I just don't believe the desire Evans had in 04/05/06 was still around in 11. Have you ever worked at a job that left you depressed at the end of the day? It's tough to go through. He's a guy that wanted to play professional football for his entire life, only to sit through 7 years of losing while inching closer towards the end of his career. If we are talking about team, and it is obviously a team game, that particular player doesn't necessarily make the team better than a younger guy ready to make a difference. Yes, I understand your point that having a pro like Evans as your 5th WR on paper is better than a late round rookie. At the same time there is tremendous value in guys that want to be here. I don't believe Evans wanted to be here anymore. I can't prove that. However, you are saying there's no rational argument on why the Bills are a better team without Evans. That is what I believe to be a rational argument. If Evans didn't want to be here, there's not much you can do about that. If nothing else, I would think you could agree that it's rational to think the Bills are better off without him if he no longer wanted to be on the team.
  22. Alright I'll start. Don Banks sucks. His position for the Bills seems beyond fair though.
