Uh, he's from Venice. In Los Angeles, Venice is what you would call the 'hood. Not exactly sun and surf. You will see more low-riders and empty forty ouncers than surfboards in Venice. Besides, I'm having trouble determining what he said that would be considered "bad" to say. I would guess that anyone who was being compared to RJ would want to try to squelch that.

I guess my only complaint is that they do not show the entire fight, but with the time constraint, I guess that would be impossible. Peter is tough. I think my dream show would be to have the American Idols and the Contenders live in a house for a month. And then make them fight.

The lack of new refineries, and the legal hurdles required to build one in the US really does hamper production. the production of new refineries is not keeping up with the production of new Hummers. That and market stability. If I remember correctly, Oil companies are not as concerned about what the market price for oil is (or who they buy it from), just so long as it's stable, so they can make accurate budgets.

When left alone with the press, you get snippets from Bush that show he's not fully getting it with regards to his energy policy. Granted, our nuclear power capability is woefully inferior, liberal activism has alot to answer to because of this, and Bush is doing something now about it that is way overdue. Still, when you hear him say things last night, like "I don't know why Iran would want nuclear power plants, they've already got all the oil" It just makes me scratch my head. Ok, Iran is evil, we get it. But they are not stupid, either.
