  1. Indeed. Fortunately Ice isn't the HC.
  2. It's funny, just a few minutes ago I saw a picture of her and was thinking "There is something very creepy looking about Jillian Michaels." Obvioiusly she has a great body, but there is something off in her face, IMO. I think of her as the female John Basedow.
  3. Well, a small part of that might have some validity. I don't think Evans EVER suggested he didn't like Trent, EVER. Back when JP and Trent were competing, Evans did say he preferred JP, the QB who he had a clear on-field rapport with. To take that remark and infer he never liked Trent, and that even if that were once true it continues to this day, is completely without any merit whatsoever.
  4. Agreed. Better bun? For sure. More bun? Not that I can remember. But I guess stuff like this is easier, and more marketable, than simply putting better quality meat, cooked properly, on a good crusty bun. As usual, I'll pass on this monstrosity.
  5. Well, ONE good one would be nice.
  6. Depending on the bar, I have no problem with parents bringing in well behaved children. Certainly some places are completely inappropriate for children and some children shouldn't be brought into any bar. But given the right conditions I favor parents exposing their children to many different atmospheres and people, not keeping them in some sort of protective cocoon. The Tender Bar is a good read, for those interested.
  7. I can't decide if my answer is "No" or "!@#$ no!"
  8. On a lighter note, I think John Prine said it best:
  9. Sorry to hear of your loss, Rob. Glad you prepared in advance.
  10. I'm guessing a good picture of Rfeynman.
  11. You may want to note Mason also played on Hendrix's original version (12-string). I'd call Mason's version superior to Mathews, but that's me.
  12. Sure they do. I really don't understand OS snobbery, anyway. When my clients or friends ask me if they should consider getting a Mac, I try to give them honest and objective advice. Some end up getting Mac and more get PCs. My buddy's daughter wanted a Mac notebook and he really didn't want to spend the extra $$. (Background: A couple of years ago HE thought he should get a Mac based on some problems he had with his old PC. But after listening to my advice he bought a PC, which I set up and occasionally maintain and he is THRILLED with it.) But as it turns out, her school is partial to Mac and many of her friends use Macs as well. She is into graphic design, as well. Well, there really isn't much (if anything) she needs to to that couldn't be accomplished on a PC, but in her case a Mac probably makes sense, as it will be easier for her to learn and collaborate with friends and teachers who are Mac-based. And since she wants one, will be happier and less likely to grouse about "her computer" when something goes wrong. Yes, he is paying more upfront, but in the long run I think it is worth it. On the other hand, another friend's daughter wants a Mac "because it is cool". A relatively foolish reason to spend an extra $600-$1000, IMO. But then again, I don't have kids.
  13. I think a good trade-off in the PC world is Dell's Vostro line. They are sold as small business machines, but are perfect for the home user. They come with very little junk (almost none if you decline antivirus). You can usually get the 200-level package, including a Core 2 Duo processor, 300GB hard drive, 3GB RAM, DVD burner and 20" flat panel monitor, for around $500, sometimes less. Of course, that's with integrated Intel graphics. I'd throw in a bit more RAM and call it a day. You can always upgrade to a real graphics card, but then your best bet may to look for a different model. I've installed quite a few and have had virtually no problems with them (discounting a replacement part or two when they were brand new...but Dell gets the part there in a day or two).
  14. I have virtually no issues with OpenOffice (although I'm a bit worried what will happen now that Oracle is branding it and even selling a version of it). But for those who use spreadsheets with complicated macros, or certain PP presentations, there can be some problems. As for the changes to MS Office, most people hate it at first, but come around if they are intensive users. I even hear it is a bit easier to learn, if you've never used the old version. For me it's just a nuisance, though. That friggin' ribbon is obnoxious.
  15. BINGO! We have a winner.
  16. Happy Freakin' Birthday, ya bastard!
  17. I believe that would fall into this category:
  18. I guess Popeye must have made canned spinach a favorite for all young girls and boys.
  19. KK really is a fairly unattractive tramp. Her face is average, at best, and that is because you see her professionally made up, properly lit, airbrushed, etc. Her ass is far too big for a Caucasian woman and she has what are clearly huge fake boobs (a big turn off). Take a peek at a candid of her in a bikini and you will also see she is replete with cellulite. I'm guessing she regularly needs a full electrolysis treatment to keep herself from looking like the Apewoman of Hollywood. Maybe, just maybe, she would be about a 6, at midnight in a dive bar after you have been drinking for the better part of the day. Even so, I would have the good sense, and taste, to avoid taking something like that home.
  20. Um...why couldn't you do word processing, photos, music and cloud stuff in Linux? Doesn't it "just work" and for far less $ in hardware (and software)? Hell a properly set up Windows OS "just works" and does all that too for about 50% of the cost of a Mac, in my experience. But it takes some time, initially, to set it up properly.
  21. JP, I think. He got the worst screw-job of any of the listed QBs and had as more talent than all of them RJ is probably second on that list and might have been better without all the Flutie interference. Here's hoping Trent (or whoever Chan likes) can put together a decent year, and/or career, with an offensive game plan that doesn't completely suck.
  22. But Polian is God and Levey blows (according to many on The Wall) how could they possibly be associated before the Bills. What a game that was to see in person. I flew in from SF to catch the game with The Senator. Some tell me the weather was bad. but I don't remember being cold for even one minute. Let's see. Kelly good, Hank Bullough bad. Van knew it. (Bills kick Raider ass.) Sure that's the point of the post.
  23. Little Feat's Red Streamliner: http://www.archive.org/details/lf1977-08-10.flacf Click on song to stream. Couldn't find a clean version Savoy Brown, Hellbound Train: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hNjxJCXfis...feature=related A great version of Mystery Train: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3KAdmivOVQ Wish I could find Little Feat's version of New Delhi Freight Train, but this will have to do: Some Doobies, Long Train Running: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWME1zwJXO4 Cannonball Rag: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXFF_8lvuCw...feature=related And, while not strictly a train song, this fits the OP's needs, I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIKdswTJ2vY
