  1. Beets suck. I should have mentioned Beets.
  2. I love most fruit. I'm not a big fan of kiwi or mangoes, but I can eat them. I like my peaches, plums and pears hard and bitter...like my women. Seriously, I don't like mushy fruit. I despise canned fruit cocktail or most any canned fruit. I like to keep bananas, strawberries, blueberries (or blackberries or raspberries, etc) to put on my cereal (or pancakes or french toast) in the morning. Nuts are a good addition, too. Few things are more refreshing than fresh pineapple or watermelon. Both are good soaked in vodka.
  3. Favorite: Peppers (almost any kind), asparagus (raw or lightly cooked), carrots (raw or lightly cooked), celery (raw or lightly cooked), potatoes, corn, snow peas (raw or lightly cooked), green beans (raw or lightly cooked). Least favorite: Sweet potatoes or yams of any kind (they make me puke), cabbage (includes Brussels spouts), ANY pea out of its pod, nearly all "Chinese" vegetables, mushrooms (I really WANT to like them).
  4. I want a post, just like the post, that married dear old Dad!
  5. I assume #0 is some sort of mistake, or code I don't understand. But moving on, I think the Bills simply weren't enamored with the available QBs in this years' draft. Quite frankly, neither was I. I was surprised they didn't take Clausen when he became available in the 2nd. But I think the fact they passed makes it clear they simply didn't like Clausen as a QB. I also assume if there is a QB they like, at a draft position they think he is right for, they will pick a QB. As 2010 looks to be FAR deeper in decent QB prospects, I wouldn't be surprised if they take on next year.
  6. I think the NFLPA is for increasing the roster size.
  7. So at least you are being honest. It isn't about more injuries, as players get injured in preseason games, as well. It is about injuries to STAR players. I have to say I'm not all that moved by that argument. Increase the roster by a couple of players and get to work.
  8. Certainly. Once it got to that point, I have no issue with the punch. I question how it was handled before, and after that punch.
  9. Oy.
  10. Let me ask you this: Do you think that officer is getting a good review for this arrest? Do you think his superiors are privately telling him he did everything he could do to avoid this situation? Do you think dancing around with a 17-year old girl, while others watch and jeer, is the best way to handle a situation like this? I don't think height is the real issue here.
  11. Actually, they will be playing the same number of games when you count preseason. Players get injured in preseason, too. Of course, starters and stars play less during the preseason. So maybe that's what everyone is worried about.
  12. Hell, you can draft the QB of the future in the 3rd or 4th round, if it's the right guy.
  13. No, my #2 says I think he handled this poorly, from what I saw. I will refrain from judging if he should have tried to arrest her, although I tend to believe jaywalking isn't an arrestable offense unless something else went down. My #2 simply points out this officer didn't command respect in his body language, voice control, physicality, etc. I think an excellent officer would have controlled this situation in a far better fashion. That's IMO, of course.
  14. That's your welcome?
  15. A woman has been at the bar most of the night, really slugging them down. When in walks an Elephant. They strike up a conversation and before you know it, the woman and the Elephant are at the woman's home, getting down and dirty in the bed. I the morning, the woman wakes up, and sees this humongous elephant in her bed. "Holly Crap! I must have been really tight last night." "Meh" responds the Elephant.
  16. Fake-Fat, welcome back. I dig the new handle. I don't think you answered my question, or perhaps you didn't really understand it. Let's say all of your assumptions are correct. I agree Ralph will try to win in 2010 and 2011 and will not want to go into full-bore rebuilding (although what is going on now, is pretty close). None of that precludes the Bills drafting a QB next year. It only precludes the Bills STARTING that QB next year, or maybe even the year after. The Bills QB of the future is, and isn't, on the roster, depending on how you define "future". The Bills will draft another QB sometime in the future. I see nothing to suggest it WILL NOT be next year. Even if one of the current crop gives them a pretty good year, if a really good looking prospect is there next year, I see no reason they wouldn't consider picking him....you know, for the future.
  17. I have no opinion on whether or not the officer should have been arresting the girl, the video starts too late for that. I tend to think it might have been an overreaction if it was simply a jaywalking incident (that's a ticket, not an arrest). But I will say these two things: 1. He had a right to hit her, once she started going off. 2. He's a HORRIBLE cop who needs to be retrained or needs to find other work.
  18. An Argentine gaucho named Bruno Said "!@#$ing is one thing I do know. All women are find and sheep are divine, but llamas are numero uno!" He made no mention of cows.
  19. I think they feel the format is the star and any mook with a tag line can make it work. As disgusting as it sounds, the format seems to have made the career of talentless hacks like Kenny Mayne, so who knows? But I must say I can't see why anyone would want to punch Rachael Nichols. There are way worse announcers than her. (Kenny Mayne for instance.)
  20. Then why did you do it? Nobody ever called Montana "Captain Checkdown". Yes, some great QBs have been successful in the West Coast Offense. That has virtually nothing to do with being a "check down" QB. And Trent didn't get the nickname "Captain Checkdown" by checking down simply when he had to. He got that nickname because it was his default choice. You seem to be thoroughly confused about what it means to check down and perhaps the basics of the West Coast Offense. It's laudable to be logical. But when your initial assumptions are fakakta your conclusions are bound to be dubious. The best thing you can do for your reputation around here, is to go to the initial post and click on "Delete" and be rid of this ridiculous thread.
  21. I can't believe anyone actually pays for it.
  22. OK, now that you provided a link I have watched the video. I still have absolutely no idea what the hell you are getting at. EDIT: I now watched the Gaily presser (which was not the video played at the provided link). I now understand that Gailey liked Bell's rookie play and assume that's what the OP meant.
  23. ???? Bell isn't a rookie.
  24. Very nice. Here's a quick hitter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQs2VR7r8H4
  25. Um...duh Why would he? I wouldn't bet the house on that Ice. He might be leaning one way or the other, but they have barely begun to show what he needs to see, IMO.
