  1. The crew at Beer Advocate seems to really like it: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/35/25759
  2. What coach said that? Don't tell me Billy Joe is coaching somewhere.
  3. Didn't Hank once mutter something about the other team "taking the sails out of our wind"?
  4. Never had the opportunity to try it. I tried their Millennium once, and can't say I enjoyed it that much. Like Hossage I like Old Rasputin and really like the high-alcohol beers from Unibroue (Maudite, La Fin du Monde, etc). I've had some 11% extra IPA beers that were quite good, too. But I think there is only so much alcohol you can get from brewing before it starts to negatively impact the taste.
  5. The Bills will eventually need a new stadium. I think new owners will likely demand one, if only to "keep up with the Joneses" when it comes to luxury boxes and such (they don't have to split that revenue). But IMO The Ralph is still a fine place to watch an NFL game (unlike the Rockpile when it was near the end). Terrific sight lines, good seats, for the most part. I don't mind watching a game there, at all.
  6. The cat's whiskers? (Maybe Cincy remembers that one.)
  7. You missed the biggest difference, of course. Kelly was a FAR FAR better and more universally lauded prospect than Clausen. Generally, drafting a guy in the 2nd round who you aren't that sold on, and who really would rather not play for you, isn't a good idea.
  8. That's really the bottom line here, IMO. If you don't think a guy is better than what you already have, you don't waste a 2nd round pick on him. That's particularly true when the guys you already have are relatively young. If the Bills FO didn't think Clausen was any better than the current QB crop, why in the world would they draft him? I admit I was shocked, and initially a bit dissappointed when they passed on Clausen in the 2nd round. But I soon realized it would be moronic for them to pick a QB they weren't sold on, particularly in the 2nd round.
  9. I wonder how they are sure that is a woman.
  10. Any cheap shot on the field that leads to (or has the potential to lead to) an injury (think Jack Tatum, think Brad Butler in college, etc). Now of course, it has been revised to something like "Most classless act while gloating in victory". I don't real feel like spending time thinking of any post game altercations, threats, coach backstabbing, players blaming one another, etc. It isn't worth my time. Plus, I'm convinced that if I go to the trouble of recalling these other acts, then the claim will be further revised to something like, "Most classless non-violent act by a coach while gloating in victory" and finally "Most classless act against a box of cereal while gloating in victory." BTW, I can live with that last one. Once again, it was a BOX OF CEREAL. That alone should exempt it from being called most classless, as many very classless things have occurred in sports. Now, PLEASE, stop making it seem like I'm defending that scum bag Jimmy Johnson. I have to freakin' take a shower every time I post in this thread. EDIT: The difference between TO's antics (like the star) and JJ's stomping of cereal is TO has a knack of actually being funny.
  11. That pretty much sums it up. But I think he already has copped to that.
  12. I just don't see stomping a box of cereal as all that outrageous when compared to many of the classless, physical acts that occur on and off the field. It's a freakin' box of cereal.
  13. Exactly. Do we single out ONE team and say that team totally screwed up by not drafting Tom?
  14. Well, JJ is a complete A-Hole, but I'd hardly call stomping a box of cereal "One of the most classless acts in all of sports history".
  15. But many here insist Evans is not a #1 WR. I wonder if they think the same of Johnson.
  16. You know what strikes me as humorous? Well before Beavis and Butthead appeared, my friends and I used to jokingly talk about "Dr. Cornholio" (he made house calls but always came in the back door!). We were very funny and a lot of odd bits of bizarre humor. The B&B bit is feels more real/authentic/credible than anything I ever heard while watching Buffy, which always came across as stilted and cloying to me. But I fear that says more about me and my friends (and not it a good way) than it does about anything else.
  17. I only watched some of season #1, as I was testing the shows with viewers/potential viewers. The idea it appealed to teens (mostly girls) didn't come from my bias, it came from the data.
  18. I actually sort of liked the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the character Buffy originates with the movie, not the show. But even though I sort of liked it, I recognized it contributed to the pussification of the vampire genre. The show is even more responsible for this horrible trend, IMO.
  19. Speaking of Starks (another fine Niagara Falls High School grad who played for UB), some have hopes he will be the #2 RB in Green Bay before long: http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/football...e=2010draftday3
