  1. Yup. And the tech is a total scumbag who really should be locked up.
  2. Secretaries can also make your life at work pretty miserable if they feel poorly treated.
  3. Class should never go out the window, IMO. It's tough to be a leader, IMO, if you are attacking things like contracts and not play on the field. I'm not down on Wood about it, as he is young and I suspect this is a one-time thing. It may be nothing at all...perhaps Wood and Maybin trade barbs on the money stuff all the time, as a joke between them. But in general talk like this doesn't help one become a leader in the locker room. And this team needs leaders in the locker room, IMO.
  4. I like Wood and hope he turns out to be the real deal. But the guy has played a total of ten NFL games, to date. I like his moxie in supporting his offensive teammate, but what he chose to say showed little class and probably won't play well in the locker room.
  5. Secretaries Day, Bosses Day, Grandparent's Day, Kid's Day, etc. Actually, there is a stupid "special day" for just about every day of the year: http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/index.htm
  6. For what it's worth (probably not much to those who simply hate Maybin and look for any reason to bash him), there are multiple accounts of this event. Here are a few I have yet to see posted: http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/201...-on-day-2-.html http://www.wkbw.com/sports/Training-Camp--...e-99632139.html http://www.newsok.com/bills-c-hangartner-l...adline_nfl-news http://www.wgr550.com/Bills--Camp-Gets-Physical/7808927 None except Graham call it a "cheap shot". None, including Graham, claim it was late/after the play/etc. Most refer to it as a "shove", some also mention Maybin used his shoulder pad on the shove. Clearly this was not a "tackle", but Fred went to the ground on the force of the shove. Sounds like it is much ado about very, very little. Stuff like this will happen dozens of times this TC. EDIT: In addition to the above (from the Billboard article above):
  7. Sounds like it was a shove in the back. That's hardly a cheap shot, and much worse has, and will, go down in training camps all over the country. Sometimes you shove a guy in the back and he stays up, sometimes he goes down. That's just the way it is. I called you a liar, because you were already corrected in another thread (and seemed to understand it was at the end of the play) but decided to say it was after the play again in this thread to make your point. A tackle is ALWAYS at the end of the play, isn't it?
  8. Agreed. I like Wood's fire, but the boys won't be happy about a comment like that. That is "stupid fan" talk. Of course, we have plenty of those here.
  9. Exactly. This all went exactly as it should, based on the accounts. It's O vs D in TC.
  10. AT the end of the play. Not "after". HUGE difference and you should know that. There is no reason to lie to make a point.
  11. Correct. Except there is NO indication this was AFTER the play. This is actually one of the few positive things I've heard about Maybin in a while. He got a little over aggressive and then held his ground against a vet. No account suggest it was a hard hit or was likely to lead to an injury. Good for him (and good for Hangartner, too).
  12. Aren't most "special days" idiotic?
  13. All Hail Fearless Leader!
  14. I notice you failed to quote Stroud's reaction:
  15. They may or may not be mistaken. I don't think any of us know the outcome of this. I don't particularly like this style of management/coaching and think if you have to resort to it, the guy isn't worth keeping...but that's me. I know I wouldn't respond well to this sort of treatment.
  16. You off your meds again? Your idiocy seems to be near peak level once again.
  17. Great job, Mike. Your reports are more detailed than almost any other. We appreciate it.
  18. Everything I read about Maybin coming out of college suggests he is a very mature and good guy. All the clips I've seen of him speak reinforce that impression.
  19. Does it work after you notice you have the rash and itching? I don't think I ever know within 2 hours of when I managed to encounter the stuff.
  20. I suspect they continue to cheat anyway they can. Fortunately their best methods were discovered.
  21. Just as I was far more concerned with Dick's crappy coaching than what he said at press conferences, I will reserve judgment of Chan after I see the team play. Talk is BS. Some great coaches sound like dorks and some terrible coaches talk a good game. That's all BS, IMO.
  22. I probably should get a yearly shot (my brother used to if I remember correctly). but I never use block because whenever I get it I have NO idea were I got it. I have always skipped the doctor as while it bugged me, it didn't seem dangerous. Going to the doctor is a good idea though. I get spider bites quite often (and get eaten alive my mosquitoes). When I think I am going to be exposed I try to use products with a LOT of DEET (that Skin So Soft doesn't work for me at all). I keep a bottle of 100% DEET spray when I go camping and stuff (not very often these days). In Canada recently I waited a little to long to use it and my legs were totally ravaged with bites.
