I guess the point (which I assume you've grown tired of hearing) is, criticism from someone other than Smerlas may actually seem legit, therefore carry some weight with us "fans in the know". (Harrumph!) From Smerlas it seems like the same ol' Bills bashing he always seems to blather.

I don't really understand why fans expect a 20-21 year old player, fresh from college, to ignore the advice of an agent he hired for the specific purpose of getting him the best possible deal. Unless there are concerns the agent is dishonest or not working in the player's best interest, the best thing a guy can do is let the agent do his job.

At least he didn't include Ditka!
