  1. Roethlisberger was playing way back then?
  2. I have yet to try that. Let me know how it is. And, with apologies to Harry Anderson, I've never been a fan of Mel's singing. He could write a song, though.
  3. What do you think the charity would do with his locks? Wouldn't selling his locks, for charity (as Promo suggested) be the same as donating his locks to charity? Mostly I'm concerned why so many male fans give a rat's ass if Fitzy has a beard or if he shaves.
  4. He was awesome on Barney Miller. I wasn't crazy about his standup act, when I saw him in person. Still he provided me with many laughs over the years as a comic actor. RIP Dietrich.
  5. Great song, but I much prefer Nat King Cole's interpretation: I heard a fantastic version this afternoon on a jazz station, with good vocals and great guitar, but they never said who performed the piece.
  6. You might find this interesting: http://www.city-data.com/neighborhood/Hilltop-Shopping-Area-Virginia-Beach-VA.html Sorry. Linked the wrong zip: http://www.city-data.com/zips/23454.html
  7. Needless to say, everyone at the bar is grateful. CrappyPappy is ALIVE! How ya doing?
  8. He had little left when he left Buffalo. Jeff Wright was younger and did a fine job after that oozing boil left. And, just so you know, he didn't simply badmouth the Bills (and Jeff Wright). He regularly railed on the city of Buffalo, the people in Buffalo and particularly Bills fans. He is a classless buffoon. Did he just jump offsides AGAIN?
  9. Are you asserting CBP has to admit US Citizens to Canada? Can you provide any support for that? I believe they have been denying entrance to Canada for any US Citizen with a DWI (not me, but I have friends who have had issues). I believe they have to let you back to the US, but not into Canada.
  10. Have I mentioned lately how much I despise Fred Smerlas? He is a world class POS. The mofo shouldn't be allowed back to WNY. Makes sense, considering your other posts.
  11. No ballet for The Dean. I think the process took about a month...maybe 6 weeks from when I started.
  12. Hardly. It just gets more expensive. This past spring I needed to get a passport. I brought in the Birth Certificate I have been using all my life (including as ID to get into Canada before passports were required) and was told that what I had wasn't a REAL Birth Certificate. So I had to get one from Albany. Since I needed it quickly I had to expedite it, and pay the increased fee of course. By the time I got it, I needed to also expedite the passport if I wanted it in time. So of course, an additional fee was charged. That last ID cost me over $200.
  13. Yes, at my ABC it is with the higher-end stuff.
  14. Still in St Augustine Beach, Ye Ole. Tonight I am chained to my desk, as I am tuning up some friends' computers remotely. Almost cocktail time, I think. May take a cigar break, too. How's Ye Ole doing?
  15. As of June 1, 2009 all US citizens are required to have a passport or passport equivalent in order to enter Canada. http://gocanada.about.com/od/canadatraveloverview/qt/uscitizenborder.htm Do people occasionally get across without a passport? I suppose some do. But I would never count on it. The law REQUIRES it.
  16. I wonder if she has a douchebag fetish, because she married a giant one.
  17. I'm considering becoming a Breatharian.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-mlP0MDips This album is what I remember from my childhood. Fantastic version of some of the classics as well as some lesser known Christmas tunes. "Go Tell It On The Mountain" is terrific.
  19. Looks like a real sweetheart. Best of luck!
  20. The if by the "white label", you mean George Dickel #12, it is very good whisky (spelled without the "e" actually, like Scotch). 90 proof, aged for a decent amount of time. It is my standard go-to booze, when I am at my bar. But you may mean George Dickel Barrel Select, which also has a lighter label, and is a bit pricier. it is 86 proof.
  21. That's the one wise decision in this whole gambit, I think. At least he isn't going to be sick of anything interesting. When Dr. Drank notes he doesn't particularly like jasmine rice anymore, I thought "what a shame". Jasmine rice is great. Lentils? Not so much.
  22. Who you calling a "homo"?
  23. And my response was something along the lines of: While it may be stupid to bring wrapped presents in check on bags, that doesn't excuse what happened on the Airline's/Airport's watch. If they aren't liable for theft, there is no incentive for them to prevent it. Also, I think the wrapping is completely irrelevant here. Would it be a different story if an unwrapped camera was stolen? Of course the Airport or Airline should be liable here. I'd also like to paraphrase another poster who was shocked a member of law enforcement would blame the victim of the crime. I'm not that shocked, but still find it a bit reprehensible.
  24. Fitz has said he is PROUD to have graduated from Harvard. But right now, he'd rather be know for being a fine NFL QB. What the hell is wrong with that? Fitz is merely saying that, in his current job as an NFL QB, "graduating from Harvard" isn't exactly high praise when it comes to describing the QB's strengths. It really isn't all that relevant for his current position. I don't think he is downplaying his academic accomplishments, at all.
  25. Quite possibly, but not for sure. I wouldn't plan the evening not knowing what situation you might encounter at the border. But hey, that's me.
