  1. That too. Although, I concede, it's been years since I've watched SBXXV again, although most of it is firmly ingrained into my brain. But what do you mean, specifically?
  2. Yeah, that was my point.
  3. Ah, yes, I agree, it is very painful to even think about. Although my comment was really meant to mean "great minds think alike", since we posted the same thing. My bad for being vague, though. Yeah. I don't know, I think the problems started for Buffalo well before the game even began. Those players weren't ready for the kind of media attention that came to them during the Super Bowl, and they really needed someone to sort of reign them in, which was never Levy's style.
  4. Great minds or something, maybe...?
  5. I always though smokers sucked and then blew, traditionally.
  6. http://www.boingboing.net/2004/12/29/incre..._beatles_m.html This is somewhat old news, but it's still really cool and I doubt a lot of you have heard of this. Just click on the link and then click on any one of the different downloading sources and listen to it! It's pretty neat, I think.
  7. Well, you could say the same thing about Levy and Parcells, unfortunately.
  8. They're both crazy as hell?
  9. Somebody ought to just put a huge sticky at the top of the forum so that this question isn't asked every 2.3 seconds.
  10. Henry? Oh, didn't he say something like "give me liberty or give me death"?
  11. I would be happy with Bledsoe as a back-up, but I'm not very sure he would accept a role - I think he really believes he has a lot of game in him still, and there are a few teams that would pick him up (Arizona, Oakland, maybe even Miami or Tampa Bay).
  12. McCartney was already a judge on a previous season.. but Dylan? Man, that's kind of disappointing.
  13. The interesting thing about Pittsburgh is that their offense didn't change at all from last season to this one except for two things: They acquired Deuce Staley and they switched to Ben "Frankenstein" Roethlisberger. In 2003, Steeler fans hated their offensive line. This year, their offensive line is unbelievable. I don't know. I can't explain it other than that there are never any absolutes in football, and there are no set rules for success.
  14. Is Lenny P's grammar, punctuation, capitilization and spelling really that bad?
  15. Then how do you explain Pittsburgh?
  16. Aside from the things you correctly mentioned, John, RJ was also missing the unbelievably critical "ability to read the defense" trait. This is why he was so often sacked. Sacks are more often a fault of the quarterback's inability to quickly read a defense than the fault is the offensive line's, but since the quarterback is generally the hero, the o-line usually takes the heap of the blame. So, that's the big thing about Losman. Can he read a defense? Is he smart? Is he quick minded? Those are the things that will generally lead to success more so than things (which are also important, but not as quite as much) like commitment, leadership ability, toughness and having "the physical tools."
  17. That game has since been proven to be a fluke. To clarify, I should say that when we can beat the Patriots consistently, we'll be for real. I addressed this, and the rest of your post, in my previous one. You're simply repeating the rhetoric.
  18. Although the Dolphins are traditionally our arch-rival, the rivalry has lost some steam since the end of the Kelly/Marino era. It's difficult to maintain hate when there just isn't anything to be mad about. The 0-20 effort was over 30 years ago, before a lot of our current players were even born. That's why you see more hate for the Patriots lately. It's actually justified, it's not just because everyone but you is clueless. The Pats are the top dog. And they're in our division. And they continue to spank us. Denying that the Patriots are our biggest rival right now (not of all time) is incredibly myopic. They're everyone's biggest rival right now because they're the measuring stick. We haven't proved ourselves until we have beaten the best. Agreed? And there's nothing funnier than an old man bragging about his age, like it makes him better somehow, as if he's out on the playground again. "Since I'm older than you, I get the big boy swing."
  19. Interesting poll results, although I guess it isn't too surprising. Personally, I'd probably rather take the Super Bowls, too - but I've heard a lot of people say that it's just a bigger stage to fall from. Intriguing, nonetheless!
  20. I'm rooting for Paul McCartney and the halftime show. But it was a lose-lose situation heading into the week, since I didn't like any of the 4 Championship teams and the only team I would've liked to see win it all was Indianapolis.
  21. My neighbor, Jesus Boombowski, does appreciate it and says, I quote, "Are you going to eat that?"
  22. Well? Would you rather have the situation of our beloved Buffalo Bills or that of the current Pittsburgh Steelers? Obviously, we'd all rather win the big one than to lose anything - but if you had to choose, which would it be?
  23. Although I think New England will probably pull it out, Philadelphia will certainly give them a fight.
  24. Count me in among the crowd that doesn't think it will hurt New England.
