Knowing the Bills' luck, we'll want to trade down from the #1 pick but no team will be willing to break the bank for it. This is a weird period where almost all teams are set or set-ish at QB.
New England, San Diego, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Giants, Washington need a QB of the future
Miami, Denver, Minnesota, Detroit, Cincinnati, Indianapolis could be included based on this season

Yes, I am already bringing up 2019. We are terrible, in every sense of the word. I think we are a 4-win, at best, team. With that said, I anticipate we'll be in the top 3 for next year's NFL draft. So, here's my hypothetical question. If we are drafting at #1 next year, would you rather take Oliver or Bosa at #1 pick, or move down to 4, 5, or 6, get a nice package of 2nd and 3rd round picks, and draft O-line & WR. What say you??
Depends on draft talent.
trading down from 1-3 will cost teams additional 1sts on top of the pick you would flip with.
team needs in 2019 are...OL , RB, WR, OLB/DE CB, Some of these can be addressed in free agency with buffalo having I think the 2nd most available capspace.

What veteran FA QB is out there looking for work?
-
Is he eligible for P.s...I don’t think he is.
if on 53 man...who gets cut?
or they wait till after game 1 with injured player on Izard opening a spot.

A QB to the PS? Maybe a WR
-
Shady is a trade chip.
if peterman starts at q.v. and buffali is competitive then he likely gets trade value of a puck higher than where drafted.
Clay also is a trade chip

Came accross this article and found it quite interesting. Did not realize McVeigh was a Bills super fan.

You know now he lived just north of Amherst in Niagara county....graduated from star pointe highschoolhigh school

Yep. Let's wait for the waiver claim awards before saying he made the team. Foster will likely get stashed on the PS after other teams' rosters are set...
Practice sqyads arent protected. An nfl team can take from another teams PS as long as they aren’t their next opponent.

Is this our 53rd? Slot receiver?

Is there really a reason to keep 2 punters (assuming that’s what they’re doing)? Can’t you always just sign one off the street?
You trade one one for a pick...

Offensive line or WR ?
Hopefully we go all offense. WR, OL, OL, WR,
Trade the pick doen and get get a few more picks and draft OL, DE/OLB, and RB, and DB in the top 4
-
Are we ussing them in the OL ???

If he fsucceeds it makes national media lose credibility if they said he sucks
i think bills gave up to much to trade up for him. If he doesn’t succeed it’s a big black mark on beane

His list has only 51 players. So, I would add an O-lineman that can play multiple positions, and keep Logan Thomas as a 4th TE.

My rule use of thumb.....
3 QB
4 RB/FB
6 WR
3 TE
8 OL
24 offense
8 DL
6 LB
9 DB
23 on defense
K, P, LS
3 special teamers
50 roster spits
the 3 extra would fill in fir short term injured players or young rookie picks, ir other raw talent you fear won’t get to PS
if AJ injury is a 6 week injury then buffalo likely has a 4th QB on the roster
The other 2 spots
1 on offense between RB, TE, WRm and IL
1 on defense would be between a LB and DB

To a degree. But as the signature columnists in the most important section of the paper, they have to be draws unto themselves as well. No different than the on-air talent at ESPN or guys like Peter King during his SI stint. Ratings and clicks matter.
IMO, neither Sully or Bucky delivered on that mandate. These particular buyouts may be driven as much by house cleaning as cost cuts. I fully expect the BN to replace both guys and look for cost control elsewhere. These will be very important hires and Dunne and Fairburn would be very good gets IMO...
I aleays felt columnists...especial sports columnists are supposed to stir the pot and cause controversy and create click bait.
as far as newspapers in thus day...
eith the internet niw now you don’t have to rely on the newspapers to hear the news. On top that people don’t understand that people are paid to write.p rpthus fees cgarged.
with something like newspapers you don’t need to pay high salary for beat reporters.
in BN they skew older where many are 15 or more years vets.
i see newspapers becoming in ways like sports teams where only a few get hugh salary and stay around while 80% if the team us churned every 4 or so years.

Why?? SJF is in a large fan market of Rochester---helps marketing.

Rosen was talked about as probably the best pure pocket quarterback in the draft. He was available for the Bills to grab but they passed.
Any options on why exactly we didn't like him?
-Injury concerns?
-Attitude?
-Concerns about playing in the cold weather?
-Was he just overrated in general?
Thoughts?
After snorting the blow he got from giving up ssooooo much he wrote the wrong name
-
They are not giving up stuff to trade up to 4 or 5 and not have one of the 3 QBs available.

Nate Geary said today in WGR two team sources have told him the bills had a deal in place with the colts to get to 3 and the Jets deal with them really hurt.
He also said that's why they traded Tyrod. Not sure if he meant because they knew they were getting to 3 or if the 3rd round pick from Cleveland was a part of the trade package
Based on draft chart....12+22+cleveland 3rd=3OA. Buffali probably also added one of their 2nds.

Doing this would be #$%@ing stupid in a waste of draft capital.
-
Rosen is the only one I'd trade up for, but he's not worth the price to get yo #1.
I don't have a problem to move from 21 to 13-15 abd then trading 22 down to make up some of who was given up.

When you say fill needs - I assume you mean starting players? That would be a tough thing to accomplish although I certainly understand the meaning of your post.
You regularly get starters from 1st-3rd round.
I have said this before...they trade 2nd 1st down and pick up another 2nd/3rd round pick that is 6 players, sthey pick a qb with one who competes for a job, then with other 5 picks they get 4 starters by mid season.
With teams only have at most 4 years of team control uou don't sit on high picks.
-
If they want to trade up someone needs to be shot. Sit pat andtraxe22 down a s get more picks

That at is actually a little false
how many high 1st or 2nd round picks they have signed to second contracts and not see them walk or traded them away or forced to retire dye to injury?
.
a big issue is head coach stability and stick to a defense system.
