  1. Unless you count a second loss to N.E. which I believe was said to be possible. That would make it 2-4, no?

In his prediction he thought a win at NE would happen.....

    Personally....in looking at their schedule....

    The road games at

    NYJ

    SF

    NE

    HOU

    would expect to be losses

The rest of the road games

    AZ

    MIA

    IND

    CLE

    Buffalo should win

A key thing in the Arizona game---Buffalo got a schedule break by having them back to back weeks so they should stay someplace out west in between games.

Last time playing the West in 2008...NE did back to back both trips out west when playing all 4 west coast teams while the Jets did individual trips. It cost the Jets and benefited the Patriots.

    Then with their home schedule....

    MIA

    TEN

    JAX

    STL

    SEA

    KC

    all should be wins

The issue will be with the game hosting NE---they beat them last year.

The finale against the JETS it depends greatly on what is at stake and their record. If they have a wild card spot locked up or were out of the playoffs and had nothing wo play for then its possibly a loss....if they do have somethign to playoff such as a playoff spot or division title then they would play to win.

what was the tally...24 points off of turnovers plus another 7 due to special teams....you cant win in this league if you do that.

If they are perfect at home then they go 12-4....lose one then 11-5...lose two then 10-6.

  2. It seems this game came down to a few plays that went against the Bills....

    1. INT return for a TD

    2. Spiller fumble.

Based on the score at 41-28.....if these two didnt happen it would could been 31-31.

Spiller fumble didnt happen Buffalo likely would have gotten at least 3 on the board...and not enough time for the jets to go down and get 3.

The pick six subtracts 7 from the board.

I do believe had the regular refs been in there you would have seen more holding and other calls to the Jets OL.

Fitz timing/placement appeared off on the pick throws.

Im old enough to remember the early 90s team (some of you were still in diapers)---they would always have one game that thinks just didnt go right. That happens to just about every team in the league.

  3. For Thursday night games they set the schedule up so every team is on once. 15 weeks of games with a total f 17 games....if you eliminate the years opener that is 16 games with each appearing once.

The nfl is trying to market it's own network to get it on the lower tier of cable.

The local markets aren't locked out of games but secondaries are which shouldn't be the case.

As a result of their onstraints of having every team you get some duds for games. Many of these game on wouldn't have made it anywhere but the traditional packets.

Why do you not get nfl network...ask your cable company?

  4. The issue are.......

    1. questionable evidence....couldnt you suspend many more players not on the saints for having some sort of pool/kitty for hitting the QB or a big hit?? Lynching the Saints over this

    2. Legality of the evidence collected

    3. The commissioner was not objective

    4. They didnt reveal all of their evidence which a practice by a District Attorney could make them disbarred.

    5. The intent to injure was not proven.

  5. The order f how games are decided....

    1. Local team in primary/secondary/traditional markets

    2. If not your team then a division rival. Most casual bills fans know who buffalos division rivals are and that's it.

    3. Local connection to the game. It's common for high round draft pick, rookie starters, and now starters at qb, rb, wr to be picked up by their local college markets or home markets.

    4. Get a look at a high profile rookie player...look for many markets to get a game involving Andrew luck and RG3.

    On #3....

In the past Austin has aired Cleveland games because of colt McCoy. Knoxville would air Houston because Arian foster played for Tennessee...Boise would pick up jets games because the rookie starting cb played the prior year for Boise state. Lincoln NE taking Detroit games because of Suh, Birmingham airing Carolina because of cam newton. Can't recall what college it was but the high draft pick of KC Eric berry was picked up by his college town. The bay area is airing Indy games. Chico California when the can will air green bay games when it can because Aaron Rodgers was from Chico and went to cal.

Look at the schedule...the same week buffalo is at San Fran and oakland is off is the week Aaron Rodgers visits Andrew luck at 1pm....thus allowing northern California to see it.

Where I live in Seattle last year they aired quite a few titans ganes because Matt hasselback was the starting qb. They will do it gain this year because the titans qb now being jake locker was born and raised in the Seattle market and went to the univ of Washington.

They have to be high profile positions or starting rookies.

  6.

If you are not part of a television market, and you have DTV, they give you the national generic network affiliates. Go to the 370's on your channel guide. You'll see "NBCE", "CBSW", etc. Those folks in central Nevada, northern Wyoming and western Nebraska have no home TV market so they get the generics, which include CBS KUSA Denver.

    PTR

While the idea of generic v market is true that isnt entirely the case.

In Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas local cable companies are opened on operated by Denver. It's cheaper or them and easier to just feed them Denver.

Under the various laws governing the FCC...if you are in a local market DMA. Some f these DMAs have been hijacked because Denver cable was already established when the laws changed. Before these were not affiliated counties. Some of these counties like the ones in norther Nebraska should be with Cheyenne, Casper, or rapid city. The SE corner is a rural fit to Denver because Denver radio can easily be picked up there. The one in northern Wyoming should be rapid ity or billings...not Denver. The NE in Nevada hold be Reno or salt like.

Same issue with thE corner county n Kansas that is green...cable brings in witchita/dodge city while satelite brings Amarillo. The creator of the site is using satellite coverage...not cable.

It makes all the sense in the world. That little sliver of Nevada? It's Area 51. What other team besides the Bills would get beamed in there? I wouldn't be surprised if some tech out there was from Buffalo, and hijacked the transmitter.

Actually area 51 is to the south near Nellie AFB about 2 hrs from Vegas.....ssssshhhhhhhhh......

  7.

KUSA, Denver is the generic CBS affiliate for places out west with no local TV market.

    PTR

It's is used by directtv and dish because f their signal for these remote location.

Cable tv n towns provide different tv coverage of loser markets.

That blip in Nevada is a county that is split. North gets Reno stations, south gets salt lake city. Then satelite brings in Denver.

I'll buy a beer for anyone who can figure out the SE Virginia/NE North Carolina deal for getting Colts/Bears... There are no big schools around there, right? I would think it means a key player in the game might be from that area.

    1. Andrew luck.....

    2. No Pittsburgh or Baltimore available

    3. NFC market so this is a game with NFC team

    4. The norfolk, Virginia beach area is a large retirement area where you get quite a few Midwestern transplants so they grew up bears lovers or haters.

    5. Andrew luck...

  8. This may seem a little naive but I would be interested to know how players look at something like this. Hagan may well have been told by the Bills there is a decent chance we want you back. He is likely not going to tell the Jets a thing unless and until they sign him to a contract that makes it guaranteed for the year (if he chooses to take that one-time only option). Working him out is one thing, and Hagan is very likely better than their #4 or #5 WR. If I were the Jets I would probably sign him and then pick his brain, although I have my doubts as to what exactly he can help with and if the Bills know what little he knows they may change something up just to !@#$ with the Jets.

After you sgn a contract now on I believe it's in not guarentted for the year...thus the player get a per game heck until they are released.

  9. Well that position that Moats and Bradham are fighting for is only going to be on the field for 30-40% of the plays anyway, because Bryan Scott comes in for them on all passing downs (or another CB comes in). So I would doubt they need to rotate a fresh guy there, he's being rotated more than anyone else on the D anyway.

But I do think Wanny is going to substitute certain players in certain formations on certain downs against certain teams, and Bradham (along with Morrison) may be a part of that, depending on how he looks. JoeB said the Bradham reps were a result of Moats having a poor showing against the Lions. It could be just a wake up call, or Bradham may be breathing down his neck. I have higher hopes for Bradham than I do for Moats, although I would think Moats is a much better player at this stage.

The other aspect of this....you can only dress 45 of the 53 for the game. (plus a 46th emergency QB).....Bradham will be dressed for his special teams play. Its possible they dont dress Morrison if he doesnt play special teams.

  10. Interesting conspiracy theory

    http://bleacherrepor...buffalos-roster

The idea that Chan basically buried Easley in order to get him on the PS this season. Which is similar to what was done with Jasper last season....he was listed as a DT but then he flips to an OL on the PS.

Going into last season he was slated as the #2 WR. Given his heart condition and the uncertainty Gailey wants to ease him back intot he game.

  11. UDFA Delano Howell made the team which means the coaches think he had more upside than Asper and Carder.

Not necessarily true....If you had 4 very good running backs do you keep all 4---no. It has to do with depth at the position.

The Bills OL had locked in 7 spots locked in on the team going into camp. That means only 1-2 roster spots for grabs going into camp. Had Asper been a 1st-4th round pick he makes the 53 man roster.

For the linebackers...they would have at most 7 spots of which 5 were locked going into camp. 1-2 jobs were available.

They basically set their roster up by saying for each position there is also a backup player there....11 positions on each...so 44 players....then you have the 3 ST players for 47....that means 6 roster spots left over....normal depth rules say 3 on offense and 3 on defense.

You try and guess who you can get to the PS and who you cant.

  12. Absolute surprise they didn't at least keep Tank Carder on the PS. From what I saw, the kid was flying all over the place. Actually predicted the guy to start seeing playing time by midseason. Shows how much we fans, or this fan at least, know from watching just a few plays.

Not keeping Roosevelt was a disappointment too. Hopes Easley finds his way back on the field--we are scary short on WR.

They didnt pass on Tank.....Tank and Asper had to clear league wide waivers to make make it on to the PS. They DID NOT..Minnesota and Cleveland claimed them. Had they cleared both would have been on the PS. Teams that claim the players off waivers means they are on their final 53---not their PS.

If they were on their PS Buffalo can go out and claim them on their 53 man roster without compensation.

Its likely when they cut Thigpen one of the WRs cut comes back.

Teams know who was drafted by other teams and had their info on. You cut your picks teams are looking to get them. Minnesota saw Asper in the game Buffalo played at Minnesota. They probably liked what they saw in him on that day.
