Rosen was talked about as probably the best pure pocket quarterback in the draft. He was available for the Bills to grab but they passed.
Any options on why exactly we didn't like him?
-Injury concerns?
-Attitude?
-Concerns about playing in the cold weather?
-Was he just overrated in general?
Thoughts?
After snorting the blow he got from giving up ssooooo much he wrote the wrong name
-
They are not giving up stuff to trade up to 4 or 5 and not have one of the 3 QBs available.

Nate Geary said today in WGR two team sources have told him the bills had a deal in place with the colts to get to 3 and the Jets deal with them really hurt.
He also said that's why they traded Tyrod. Not sure if he meant because they knew they were getting to 3 or if the 3rd round pick from Cleveland was a part of the trade package
Based on draft chart....12+22+cleveland 3rd=3OA. Buffali probably also added one of their 2nds.

Doing this would be #$%@ing stupid in a waste of draft capital.

Rosen is the only one I'd trade up for, but he's not worth the price to get yo #1.
I don't have a problem to move from 21 to 13-15 abd then trading 22 down to make up some of who was given up.

When you say fill needs - I assume you mean starting players? That would be a tough thing to accomplish although I certainly understand the meaning of your post.
You regularly get starters from 1st-3rd round.
I have said this before...they trade 2nd 1st down and pick up another 2nd/3rd round pick that is 6 players, sthey pick a qb with one who competes for a job, then with other 5 picks they get 4 starters by mid season.
With teams only have at most 4 years of team control uou don't sit on high picks.
-
If they want to trade up someone needs to be shot. Sit pat andtraxe22 down a s get more picks
-
Study also needs to look at other sports and cte io figure out what it takes.
They also need to look at people who didn't at pro or college.
Another factor to remember---the brain can heal from head injuries when a teen. At some point this stops like around 23-25.
I got a bad concussion/head injury my freshman year year of college. It took over 3 years to fully recover.

I think there should be 2 types...flagrant is spot foul. Hand checking, some body contact is 10. Under 5 in 4th, under 2 in 2nd are all flagrant

IMO you don't need the combine to determine if they are worth it. Game tape tells the tale.. Any team who draft a player based upon combine numbers could be drafting a Maybin type of player.
as for the Bills if they have that much faith in a QB to move up you make the move because a franchise QB is THE game changer in this league
Nor true...
For QBS you have an equal measuring stick on who can make the throws needed that tape doesn't really measure.
As fir trading up for a qb...utterly dumb.
With the qbs coming out there isn't much difference and am some are slated to be picked 20-40.
Buffali can stand pat, or even trade down from 22 to 27 or 28 and still draft a qb and pick up a late 2nd or early 3rd.
The qb I'd sign as a free agent would be bridgewater

Not true. The Bills could have the 21-24th from the Chiefs rn. Bills will either be 21st or have a later pick
As it stands now 21-24 are the wild card playoff losers sorted by record, strength of schedule, then a coin flip.
KC is one loser
NO/CAR loser has 111 wins
ATL has 10 wins, Rams 11.
Buffalo has 9, jacksonville 10
It looks like jacksonville has a weaker SoS than KC and KC is less than AztL.
If Buffali loses....they draft 21, KC 22.
If buffalo wins, then JAX drafts 21, KC 22, and BUF no lower than 25.
Tennessee has a weaker SoS than buffali so the fact they are seed 5 over buffali seed 6, they would get to draft ahead of buffalo.
-
Also something I wonder about....Cleveland and houston made a similar trade as buffalo and kansas city. Wounder how much talk was their with Houston and then getting houston 1st.
-
The draft order is based on where you exit.
With 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks they can draft people that will be important players next year.
With the 5 picks their needs are....
DL
OL
speed WR
LB
QB
DB
I see buffalo trading their later 1st down 5-10 spots and pick up a late 2nd or early 3rd.

Oakland should be eliminated ate with the Miami loss.
If oakland wins and ten and buf lose then ten get the WC be conference record. Had miami won, then they would get 2nd then OAK get the WC because the beat both Ten and Mia.
For buffalo now....
The need a W and
1. BAL loss
2. Both TEN and SD lose
I expect all of BUF, SD, TEN, and BAL games to be at 425
For Sunday night it could be either CAR/ATL or CIN/BAL game
As I predicted....

Does anyone else think Bills and Miami game has a shot to get switched to 4:25? It would put bills and chargers game at same time, even though Bills and Titans are scheduled to kick at same time.
It depends on what happens.
If buffalo wins and btimore loses and Tennessee lose then the bills game likely goes to 425 and it could go to NBC.
I think CBS would have patriots, Steelers, and jags playing at 1pm and Baltimore, and buffalo at 425.
If jags and titans for division title then if that isn't on NBC it would be the 425 game.
If San Diego wins and if lose then both at 425.
As of now the Carolina Atlanta game is in the lead for the NBC game.

What if Giles pie is release from Pats??? He seems to have been benchef. I'd rather have him.
-
They need a speed target. This player doesn't have to be a #1 receiver.
Bejamin and Jones are perfectly fine for a 3WR set. They also have Clay at TE.

I listen to national sports talk all day at work. When talking about Tyrod, most on-air personalities throw out all the stats that are favorable to Tyrod (low interceptions, QBR, etc). A lot of people don’t think those stats give a true representation.
Today, most of the national media seemed to think the benching was a mistake, again citing all the stats that many don’t feel tell the full picture. Rodak seemed to get it, but he, like us, watch all the games, and the national media doesn’t. Anyway, during the Russillo show today they were talking about the Tyrod benching and played an audio clip from MMQB's Andy Benoit (originally on the 9/26/2017 show, when we were 2-1 and had just beaten a Broncos team that we weren’t expected to beat). I think these quotes sum up why Tyrod was benched.
Andy Benoit:
“There will never be a stat to capture throws that should be attempted that are not attempted, and when you put on the all 22 coaches film and you see how these plays are drawn up, every game more than any other QB in the league, Tyrod Taylor’s leaving guys open on the field un-attempted. He’s not processing, he’s not seeing, he’s not a full field progression reader, and he’s also not an anticipation thrower, that’s a bad mix, you have to really simplify the offense and build around him. Now, they put Taylor on the move a lot which slices the field in half, now he’s only reading half the field, that’s a very specific way to play though, and the more specific you are the easier you become to game plan against. So my guess is they’re ganna keep their eyes very much open for a quarterback, not this season, but heading into the offseason and moving forward.”
Then as a follow up on the Benoit clip, Todd McShay said:
“And I can tell you one thing, nothing will drive an offensive staff crazier than seeing something that they drew up, an opportunity for big play, and your quarterback didn’t take advantage of it, and I think that’s part of what’s going on here, and exactly what he’s saying is that, they’re getting guys open, they’re scheming the right way, they’re doing things, and he’s not seeing it, and that drives you nuts, because it makes you look bad as a coordinator, and ultimately as a head coach.”
And then Will Cain chimed in with this:
“That doesn’t show up in the numbers, it won’t even show up on a casual viewing on a Sunday, you’ll only know that when you know the game plan and what’s supposed to be happening on each individual play.”
I transcribed this myself so I might have missed a word or two here or there. The information for the podcast is below, the entire segment is worth a listen.
If you want to hear the entire discussion it’s hour one of today’s show (11/15/2017):

Andy Benoit quote: 15:22-16:24
Full segment on Tyrod: 10:52-18:54
Here is a problem to those arguments....
1. What about past years ? Is that how he processed plays in prior years???
2. Was there a knife on his throat if he threw picks by taking vhsnces???
3. He had woids, sammy and others he used to throw to. In game 3 he has only Clay snd McCoy from paSt seasons that he threw yo abd had built up some knowledge of there reads and timing.
4. Defense knew they lost the receivers and with no deep threat they could cheat with 9 in the box playing the run, qb runs, and short passing.
I could accept an argument of starting a rookie qb because they were playing against the firmer coach/of who knew tyrod.
If they want to give him a trial...start with werk 13.

Why is marketing even being brought up? The Bills offense is putrid. Something needs to change and it has. Will it work? Who knows but sometimes making a bad decision is still trying different options.
marketing to the racist anti black QB demographic ???

I disaree with Tamoa Bay. They have had a bunch of close loses an with a young team confidence is shot and the team tanks.
Unsure what the contract terms are with the Colts coach has. If the contract ends after ths year then its not renewed but I dont think he would get fired because he didnt have Luck this year.
-
IT would be intersting if he was to resign with Buffalo. With them doing the Carolina trade they dont have the cap space to even sign him.
-
They should have a rule in place about a receiver conceding they are down that would not be considered a fumble. If the play is on the ground and they put down the ball on the ground they are down. were they hit and knees down and the ball cvame out this would not be a fumble.
If you had 3 defenders standing around you they could be standing waiting for you to get up so they can mug you.
-
Bills will resign Benjamin.
Benjamin had his 5th yr picked up by Carolina so he isn't someone to sign this offseason.
People who say Benjamin is a true #1 are delusional.....
true #1s are decent size of over 5 feeet tall and has speed
Benjamin is bigger but is not that fast. because he is taller he can compete for long passes and outjump the CB
deep threats are people you focus 2 people on because they can beat the one person with their speed.
he is better than woods because of his height.
