  1. Just to clarify, this from buffalobills.com:

"Being on Reserve/NFI means anywhere between the end of Week 6 (Oct. 14th) and the end of Week 11 (Nov. 18th) that Alonso, if cleared to do so, could begin practicing with the team. His first day of practice would kick start a 21-day evaluation period where the team could determine whether he would be fit to return to the active roster or being placed on season-ending Reserve/NFL."

Seems that the Bills brain trust believe in the "Legend of Kiko" too.

From this they can wait till week 11 and then have him practice. At the end of the 3 week period they can decide if he can play or not. This depends greatly on how the team is doing and if playoffs are a real possibility

  2.

PUP - Kiko Alonso. There's no need to move him to IR until almost Thanksgiving unless they want to since he was on the non-Football injury list. He counts against the camp roster limit and they have NOT put him on season ending IR yet which would gain them another camp spot so I think this is the direction they will go. He'd need to be activated off of PUP by November 19 and on the 53 man roster by December 10th in that scenario. If he's not close they can IR him then and have lost nothing. The timing of his injury basically lets them treat him as an extra Injured-Designated for Return player.

I agree...he goes on the PUP and they wait till the deadline and decide how he is doing by then...if buffalo feels they have a shott at the playoffs by then.....they activate him and have him available for week 16 on and in the playoffs.

  3. Lions will be a regular opponent for a ;long time.

reason---teams ggenerally dont want to play teams they will not play that season---with Detroit being the closest NFC team they are the candidate to regularly play.

the other thing, the team doesnt want to travel far for preseasons. That is a big reason why it happens this year you still have west playing west even though they play each other this year.

Sure Wilson living in Detroit factored into it. But Buffalo and Detroit are close to each other and have the rivalry in hockey so playing them is natural.

  4. This invariably will decline into a political argument and that's a waste of time because quite honestly, both sides of the aisle in NY are culpable for this situation. And this also will invariably lead to myths and urban legends about "why" we are the way we are. Two I see already in seven posts.

    1. NY is down in House membership due to population loss. Not true. Although population decline statewide in only one decade in its history, the 70s, it's been on the rise ever since, albeit slower than in the past. You need a lesson in proportional representation. Other states have grown faster and caught up and we've lost representation due to what is happening elsewhere. This state is old and developed way earlier than the booming sunbelt states... we lead first. Now others are growing like we once did. That's the cycle of economics. The northeast was heavily invested in a mono-economy... we made stuff. Some cities and regions survived after deindustrialization due to a more diverse economy.

true---most of the states population have grown from decade to decade but congress is based on raw population numbers so other states grew by higher amounts to take congressional seats from the midwest and north east.

Last census Texas gained 4 seats and all of it could be attributed to the Latin population growth in the state. From 2000cto 2010 the white population was at rate that wouldnt have had it gain a congressional seat.

    2. Weather, what a laugher. Ever been to Seattle or Portland, you don't see the sun for weeks as it rains constantly. Or Minneapolis, where the winters are way harsher yet they have countless Fortune 500 companies? Weather's an excuse because other cities, dare I say Toronto, have managed to overcome that myth.

From someone who lives in Seattle/Portland. You dont go weeks without the sun. You do see the sun, its just not that common in November-February in terms of rainfall Atlanta gets more annual rain. No it doesnt rain constantly In the summer it doesnt get oppressively hot (outside of about 4-6 days a year) and humid in the summer.

Buffalo is viewed as the snow capital of the country but its not. Its all about the image.

I have noticed in the last 20 years in Buffalo it seems there has been a climate change where getting the humid days was not as common as it is now.

  5. I live in the Seattle area----

Lynch has been known to have him or his "possie" damage and break someones cell phone if they walk up and take a picture of him while he is out.

My bet a similar incident happened. They were out at a bar, woman comes up to take a picture, one of his security grabs the phone and destroys it...naturally in the process he "assults the woman to get the phone out of her hand then the property damage happens when they break and destroy the phone.

This stuff has happened multiple times.
