I think a lot of people are getting upset that people don't like how slow he is. It's fine, he was successful while being slow in college and he will probably be an ok player in the NFL. The point is he had a glaring weakness vs others still available at the time he was drafted. If he was drafted in round 3 this wouldn't even be a discussion, we would be happy with the pick (most of us). We passed on Worthy who has speed you need to plan for, McConkey who has the speed AND route running, Leggette who has the speed AND size, and AD Mitchell who has every single tool available and might have a bad attitude but please tell me which superstar WR is pleasant. Coleman might end up being an upgrade over Gabe but there were other options available so it's a head scratcher.

That's the difference between open and not open

Half of these draft picks might not make the team at this point

I see a lot of numbers trying to justify him being slow. It is what it is. He's slow. Hopefully he can make it up elsewhere (jump balls, catch radius, etc).

Coleman = Benjamin, Davis = Moss - Beane players

This right here is the losing recipe. You think that's something to be proud of. Hang the banner -
Did they really want Bishop? They tried trading up but he's not going to admit if it was for someone else (Bullard)

Thanks for the insight. At the end of the day we should be fielding a team of the best football players. I feel like they are putting too much thought into this. Find good football players and put them on the field.

They will just say it was a rebuilding year and run it back again. Josh will be in his 30's by the time they have figured out they wasted his prime

Does this remind anyone else of the last time the Bills had no WR's so they traded for Kelvin Benjamin (big, slow)? Didn't work out too well. Josh doesn't throw unless the guy is super open aka separation. It's like deja vu all over again!

Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one

Who should the Bills draft at #19 (Trade)? - TSW Mock Draft 3.0

The better question is, how will it be obtained? And will it be videotaped? -

Based on this it could be possible Brian Thomas would be available at 28 anyhow or maybe we trade up like 2-3 spots like usual to get our guy if they really did target him -

I don't see much of a difference between him and some of the other guys plus it's reported that he now has a shoulder issue and may need surgery but who knows. I'd rather they had not traded up at all if this is who is available on the board -

The only bad part was the media whining about it for 4 years -
What time should I come over?

Oof - the penalty for being good, but not good enough

Plus you get him for 4 years at a super cheap salary vs paying someone 25-30m per in free agency -

I'd agree that if you don't get one of the top 3 in this draft that there will be more hits in the back of the draft than there will be with WR picks 4-6 so trade way up or trade back. Do not trade up to 20 for the 4th best guy because the 4th best guy might not be until round 3, who knows at that point -
Joe Marino's Bills specific draft board: Horizontal & Vertical
K D replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll say this. I'd be happier with Leggette at 28 than I would trading up for Brian Thomas who I think is a pretty similar skill set. BTJ is a slightly better athlete but Leggette is thick and can be a returner and a blocker as well so it's really what's your flavor kind of thing. But if the Bills spend a lot to trade up for BTJ I think that's pretty stupid as I think you can trade BACK and still get Leggette at the top of round 2 The only thing I can think is that BTJ is younger and maybe Brady has some inside knowledge on him or something. Otherwise I think it's a dumb move. They would be mortgaging the future in hopes that there's more to BTJ than meets the eye and maybe there's not. -
Latu seems like one of those guys where he keeps dropping and dropping and everyone is going crazy and then Bills come up and pass on him too and everyone is like wtf and then we find out he failed medicals, something draft people aren't privy to. And then the Cowboys or Chiefs draft him and he's an all pro lol
