  1. More comp picks means less free agent signings/resignings. But who cares those guys are crappy! We want the prime 3rd, 4th, 5th round studs!
  2. 11 games in 3 seasons* You forgot the season where he played 16 games.
  3. What is with this Miami hype? Jesus Christ. It's like the 2015 Jets all over again.
  4. Patriots last 6 games: Dolphins @ Bills @ Dolphins @ Steelers Bills Jets I may be in the minority, but I think the Jets stay down and the Dolphins implode this year. That is going to be a nice stretch for the Patriots to coast into the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I think we put up a fight, but that is quite a downhill schedule for the dominant AFC East team. Dolphins last 6 games: @ Patriots Broncos Patriots @ Bills @ Chiefs Bills That is actually tougher than our last 6 in my opinion. If they don't implode this may actually come into play come playoff time. There isn't very much interesting about the Jets schedule. Standard stuff.
  5. So pretty much you think: away = loss home = win (except pats and oakland)
  6. I've seen other schedules like that in past years, and thought it was strange. Seems as though it is our turn although I think they typically do 3 different divisional opponents not just 2.
  7. Two people said they went through and didn't see any week where we played a team after their bye. I'm not sure about long week, but I think they confirmed that too.
  8. As if Miami won't be eliminated themselves.
  9. This has to be the worst schedule ever. I am seeing rumors of: Week 13 New England Week 14 Unknown Week 15 Miami Week 16 @ New England Week 17 @ Miami
  10. So in your opinion, the option is about deciding the best way to keep him rather than what the media will report as "not picking up the 5th year option cause we don't want him". I could agree with that, and that makes this "still deciding on picking up the option" thing make a whole lot more sense. It is absurd that they wouldn't want to like the media is portraying it as.
  11. Where do you live? I thought NFL offered foreign fans the free package to get the audience overseas watching. I knew someone who used a VPN to live stream games for free because they thought he was in france or something.
  12. I get it, but my point is that you shouldn't miss perceived opportunities in free agency for the potential or prospect of a mid round draft pick more than a year later. Additionally, while an extra 3rd or 4th round pick could help a little, the truth is they don't stick around long on average, so I think it's safe to say that this isn't the Bills secret issue that they need to wise up to. I'd chalk up not making the playoffs being due to burial grounds more than comp picks. Chart is from 2014 but it gets the point across.
  13. All those high profile 3rd and 4th round draft picks am I right?? Let's miss out on free agency every year so we can get mid round draft picks the next year. That'll make the upcoming season awesome. Get a grip guys.
  14. http://i.imgur.com/Pk4JdG2.png Edited to a link because it has curse words in the comic, but I find it fairly funny, and a good explanation for why we hate random teams haha.
  15. 2 challenges a game to challenge an existing penalty. No checking to see if there was a penalty though. Additionally, I think they should have officials in the box eyeballing the game, and calling down if they are seeing something blowing up like the obvious Bills vs Seahawks debacle that someone/anyone should have said "wait just a damn second, we just put the ball down and now we are calling delay of game? There is no delay of game penalty here - reset the playclock to whatever, and lets do this right"
  16. What happened to Whaley after this? Anybody can sit there and say "boy if that franchise doesn't start winning somebody is going to be on the hotseat!!!" He even goes as far as to say Rex isn't on the hotseat, but Whaley is because Rex "just got there". Such in-depth analysis The guy has so many hot takes, he is bound to be right at some point, and in your case, he wasn't even completely right. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/inside-football-whos-likely-out-whos-next-for-14-flopping-franchises/
  17. I think the point is would you rather go see your team play over the weekend in Vegas or Cleveland? Or Dallas? Or Philly? I'd take Vegas over many other cities for a weekend getaway.
  18. They just changed the rule last year. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/11/19/compensatory-picks-can-be-traded-in-next-years-draft/ I don't understand the craziness about comp draft picks. We have to lose players to get the additional picks. I mean we can push it over the edge if need be by not signing someone until after a certain point or whatever but the fans thinking we should base free agency around it is ridiculous.
  19. That's up for debate if they will do it twice but they invested more than twice what they did for Gilmore or Byrd.
  20. Sammy doesn't have a choice for likely 4 more years.
  21. I'd bet on the Jimmy G option. That would be quite the grand slam for this soul eating franchise.
  22. To be fair, who knows with Gronk, and they lost Bennett. So they did lose people. I think its an upgrade, and it sucks but we will see how they look in September. Edit: Thought Amendola was gone? When did they sign Dwayne Allen? They have been busy.
  23. Patriots have been neglecting the WR position for years, and just signed Hogan from us and won the Super Bowl......
  24. Why do you think everyone is taking a hardline stance and not working in conjunction with each other? Whaley could have said "I don't like the cap hit after his "ok" 2016 performance, but I can see why we need to keep him", and McDermott could have said "yeah the cap hit would be rough, think maybe we can get him to restructure? Otherwise, who can we target?" Or some variation of that. Nope you'd rather believe Whaley stomped his feet and said "I don't want him" and McDermott said "too bad" and went to daddy Pegula. So much more believable. Edit: TLDR: The medias job has turned to desperate grasps for controversy to keep peoples attention, and their stories should be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism.
  25. Could this be trying to water down the asking price of one 1st? If the Patriots wanted 2 1sts, and the Browns give them one, then that "sounds" like a steal. The whole thing stinks, don't do it Cleveland. New England knows that they have, and will need a QB soon.
