Musk Blows Up Facebook's Satellite
What a Tuel replied to Dante's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/706639/Did-UFO-cause-Space-X-explosion-Shock-claims-of-anti-Facebook-alien-interference I'd write it off as a bird or a bug if it wasn't moving so damn fast. If you slow youtube video speed down to .25x you can see it much clearer through its progression across the screen. -
Musk Blows Up Facebook's Satellite
What a Tuel replied to Dante's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Are you saying it dropped something onto it? Because it looks almost like a bird flying above it, not quite low enough for a direct hit. "The Israeli made Amos-6 communications satellite was, according to Tech Crunch, carrying technology to allow Zuckerberg's firm to spot beam wireless internet directly to smartphones in sub-Saharan Africa." This sounds too useful to just be for private (civilian use). Then again what do I know. edit: is the camera sped up? because it looks to be moving really fast too. -

What corporate interest lies in making it look like black people are being stalked and murdered by police? -

Why doesn't this lady just go grab a gun at a gun show, or somewhere that doesn't have background checks. I hear it is super easy. -

I don't know about everyone else, but I am more offended by the continued proliferation of inaccurate accusations that police are murdering black people for paid leave with no statistical facts to back it up other than anecdotal cases that never support the theory that cops are out to kill people let alone specifically black people. I blame the media who is selling their soul for the ratings, and BLM because it is founded on a lie. -

Was it explained in this thread already? How does this happen in non-contact? I thought he meant Tom Brady. -
2016 GAME PICKS: GO ON THE RECORD
What a Tuel replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cards aren't a sure thing loss. Palmer looked bad in preseason and they are playing in Buffalo. I give us a shot. So 1-4 out of your games. We would need to win 8 or 9 out of 11 of the rest. That's not perfect, and it isn't crazy to think we need to win games to make the playoffs. -

Ravens- W Jets- W Cardinals- W Patriots- W Rams- W 49ers- W Dolphins- W Patriots- L Seahawks- L Bengals- L Jaguars- W Raiders- W Steelers- L Browns- W Dolphins- W Jets- W 12-4 I am sure there will be a few surprise losses in their like to the Raiders or one of the Jets games, but I think we can pull off a win at home against the Cardinals. -
This is a good point. We would get a comp pick for letting him go?

Two separate issues. There is requiring ID to vote where you claim the means to get an ID are difficult. There is making sure ID's are widely available, which certainly aids in presenting your ID to vote, but that is not the sole reason nor the sole benefit one would need an ID for. Identification is something that helps people in a multitude of different ways and isn't just bureaucracy aimed at voters. -

You want a court appearance for the cops who shot Alton Sterling? The guy was armed and wrestling with them. I am not sure what you think this is, but it isn't fun and games. What is the end game for Alton Sterling? Wrestle for a bit and give up? If we are going to start criminally charging police officers for performing their duties, then we've crossed a line. But as for Castile, it took months and months to investigate LeSean McCoy. This insatiable mob mentality for punishment outpaces reality. These things take time. -

What I think is unreasonable is paying taxes for basic public services, and instead of fulfilling those basic public services, the government is taking that money and using it for special "feel good" projects that have little impact, and half-assing the core public services such as this. Yes, I think closing down or only making DMV offices available at certain times may make it harder for anyone to get an ID. But there is no evidence of targeting minorities. More likely the poor. Black poor people are just as able as white poor people to go to the dmv to get their ID. By making this a racial issue, you are ignoring quite a few people who may not be able to get their ID and vote as well. I still don't know if I see this as a hardship though. Identification is a core utility that one should have, and you can easily renew online at least in NY. How do these people buy alcohol? -

Check out the 2nd link I edited in, and sort the census data by race. There is a DMV office in every single black majority county. Some are only open 1 day a month, but this is also the case in white majority counties. -

I am going to call BS on that. Just looked up a few and clear as day DMV offices in several primarily black counties. http://dps.alabama.gov/home/DriverLicensePages/wfDLOffices.aspx http://www.al.com/census/ -

Not to mention you can renew your license online. NY DMV has finally gotten with the times and embraced the internet somewhat. -

This goes back to the police shooting statistics. Blacks face higher rates of poverty. Poverty leads to more crime, more crime leads to more contact with police. Same goes for this. Blacks face higher rates of poverty, the state aims to close down services, they tend to target lower income areas first when doing this. The proportional differences are in poverty levels, not targeted efforts by the government or police. -

They closed 38 offices across the state. I pointed out that less than half were in black majority areas in response to a post that said they explicitly just closed dmv offices in black majority areas. They didn't. If anything there is a correlation with closing down public services for poor people first. We will just ignore the fact that in 24 of those offices, white majority areas won't be able to get their licenses or whatever to vote too right? Is that white voter suppression? -

Out of 34 DMV offices, 13 were in black majority areas, and they were closed due to budget cuts, On September 30, Alabama announced the closure and reduction in services at 34 drivers licensing offices throughout the state. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has said an $11 million cut in the budget forced the closing of the DMV offices at which residents can obtain or renew their licenses. The state expects some of the needs of those who would have used such offices to be met online. -
