  1. Agree entirely. Players don't play better when there are being booed. They are pros they know when they are stinking it up
  2. WGRs set of grades are up http://wgr550.com/two-bills-drive/14261334
  3. I like to think of bloody Mary's as an appetizer in the glass. I use spicy pickled green beans and old bay.
  4. Notice he thinks cover players (read secondary) is the thing this team is missing. Hmmm
  5. This. Watching this game I was thinking the coaching staff had a complete makeover based on the play calling being night and day from last week. As the game progressed there were more familiar WTF moments that I have come to associate with Chan. But still few enough that we were in charge.
  6. Can't speak for others but despite my great respect for Kyle that doesn't mean I am unhappy with what Mario brought to the table today.
  7. As the number one overall pick Mario has two probowls. Kyle has two as a fifth round pick. Both have one as an alternate and one voted in as a starter (is that right? Per Wikipedia anyhow) While I think Mario is a great addition to this team and a better athlete it's not like Kyle isn't highly regarded in the league if not by Bills fans.
  8. Just like the first game it's just one game. Folks jumping off the bandwagon week one are welcome to jump back on. There are a lot of bad teams on the schedule this year.
  9. Absolutely. We missed him last year. I think he can make a claim to being best defensive player on the bills.
  10. For what it's worth Bruce Smith bitched all the time about illegal techniques particularly those that put his knees at risk,
  11. Retrospectoscope makes analyzing draft picks so much easier Is there anyone in the league who shouldn't have traded up for Rogers? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/14637364/draft-day-was-well-worth-wait-for-rodgers-packers
  12. While GB has been competitive through the Favre and Rogers era they weren't as far as I recall through the eighties early nineties and late seventies. Despite same ownership for all intents and purposes. Get the right player and the franchise looks awfully good. In fact remember how the Reggie White move to Green Bay was ground breaking because prior to that "no one wanted to come to Green Bay" ? Would love it if ten years from now we look back at the Mario signing in the same way. Thoug I am not comparing the two of course as players.
  13. Awesome. Honey I have your Christmas present picked out
  14. My point is not that Flacco is bad it's that fans in Baltimore (and some national media professionals) have been arguing throughout his career about whether or not he is good. Mind you his last two games have looked great but despite that AFC title game showing heres the kind of stuff that is being said http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/50361/is-joe-flacco-among-afcs-most-overrated The way players are framed in the media and in fan discussion can change drastically in the course of a few games or certainly a season. Whether or not you have found the "answer" may have a lot less to do with the person than overall team success. The bills would have been a lot better with Brady at QB this decade but given the coaching and front office disasters do you think Mularkey William Jauron would have had the kind of successes as Bellicheat and that solid front office in NE? Would Brady be considered amongst the greatest if he was on say a team that lacked other talent to get him past the first round of the playoffs. Cutler is alternately a whiny bum and the next great thing depending on where in his career you looked at fan and media opinions. Same guy the whole way. Heck from Tuesday to Friday am this week I think perceptions of his ability have changed a lot.
  15. Ask Raiders fans how they feel about investing in Jamarcus Russel or Browns fans about Brady Quinn. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?season=2007&round=round1#round1 For all that he looked all world against us how many Jets fans the last three years have been second guessing investing in trading up for Sanchez http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009/tracker#dt-by-round-input:1 Josh Freeman had a good year in 2010 not so much last year beats me if he is the real deal. While Flacco looks pretty good now there has been a running fan debate the last few years in town if he is ever going to be a top flight QB http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?season=2008&round=round1#round1 That is the same in arguably top notch front office that failed on investing a first round pick in Kyle Boller and investing in Elvis Grbac. Even good teams like the Ravens haven't necessarily been good at finding the right QB. It's a crapshoot. As others have pointed out the Bills have invested a lot of resources in trying to get it right. Fitz didn't look like it last week but early last season when us bills fans were going nuts for the Amish Rifle he sure did look like it. Maybe he will be a failure as others have pointed out this team will keep investing in the position if it isn't the right answer.
  16. I have a three year old and one year old who have Losman, Lynch, and and McGahee jerseys - because they were on sale for $5-10 bucks once upon a time. Two of those three I'm rather embarassed to have them wear.
  17. Living baltimore I'm pretty sure the Ravens were carrying three kickers during the end of the Stover era.
  18. Admittedly #59 Fletcher - because I think he was a great player for us who was let go too early, and because our Bills Backer club met at a bar named Fletchers when we were first founded. . . and because I got it cheap
  19. Nice review of game film on the tbd front page today confirms almost all three step drops for Sanchez with no CB help for the DL http://wgr550.com/two-bills-drive/14214214
  20. Exactly right Lots of angst over Fitzgerald and the Dline but the story really should have been the secondary. Some plain out getting beat but lots of times where the scheme was ridiculous
  21. You know thinking about the hit LCL is a funny injury for what I recall of the hit. Was he hit on the inside or outside of the leg? Usually LCL is from being hit on the inside of the leg.
