When I read this earlier this afternoon, I have to admit, I threw up in my mouth a bit. A decent receiver who actually wants to come here, yet we are happy with one true receiver on the roster. This team is pathetic. I guess they are just waiting until every other team is done in Free Agency, then whatever scraps are left, players who can't sign anywhere else might consider Buffalo. More then likely though, we will fil the 15 holes on this roster with the 6 draft picks they have?

You can't get FA's to sign here if you don't try to sign them. The only name I have heard that they attempted was DeVito and they got outbid-of course.

You may be right, but it is much more likely that the OP is right. We need receivers bad, a TE and we have no QB to throw to them so who wants to come here? Most of these free agents were in grade school the last time the Bills made the playoffs, who wants that? From the inside and even more from the outside it seems this team is a mess? The GM is caught in a catfish prank. They have dumped a bunch of players with no replacements, and don't seem to be trying very hard to find replacements. It appears that Buddy Nix is either clueless, or he has marching orders from above that he doesn't have the authority to do anything. When Nix got here he said he had a 3 year plan, it is going on 4 years and we are worse then we were when he arrived. All they have done is sign a backup linebacker from Cincy, and he is the Savior now? This team has one receiver that even belongs on an NFL team, and it doesn't appear that they have talked to anyone? What a mess, If I were an NFL free agent I wouldn't want to come here unless they grossly overpaid for me, like they did for Mario last season.

I get the feeling if they take a QB at #8, if it isn't Smith, it will be Nassib, not Barkeley.

Those are the type of players that Belicheat gets the most out of, like Sam Aiken.

Not sure you would get much for Stevie. Don't get me wrong, I like him, but on the majority of teams, if not all, he would be a #2 or the slot receiver. At his salary, not sure many teams would pay that for the slot position. He is making about $7.25 million annually, all Welker (the best slot receiver, maybe ever) had to struggle to get 6 million a year. I say keep him, especially since he is only real receiver on the entire roster, not worth trading.

I have zero faith in Nix, in fact if he isn't the worst GM in the league, he is certainly in the discussion. I don't however have a problem with them not pay Levitre that much money. If he was that steady and was a left tackle, it would be different, but they have too many holes to spend the cap money on, if they do indeed spend it. Guards can be replaced for alot less money.

Might be worth a shot, but Brady Quinn is a FA and would cost the Bills nothing? Go Irish!

You know, when you mature, and you are somewhat adorable, you will realize signing players like Bey, other teams failure's year after year is a big part of the reason this team has been so bad for so long. When you are satisfied and settle for mediocrity at best, don't complain when that is all you get on the field. Although, on second thought, mediocrity on this team would be a major improvement.

Those stats are under David Nelson levels? Like I said with those stats, minimum salary with incentives. Nothing else.

Give them a few more years, there are still a few teams that aren't starting good young quarterbacks that Buddy has passed over for players like Aaron Williams.

I agree Kaep might be a hindsight, but Dalton, no way. All the so called experts all said, Dalton was more NFL ready then anyone in that draft class. He isn't Peyton Manning, but the thought that the Bungals got Dalton and we got Aaron Williams picking ahead of them, makes my stomach rumble.

You might be right, you might be wrong, who knows. He never played for the Bills after they gave up a draft pick for him. Buddy has some desire to make the Seahawks as good as can be, and they don't need his help. Besides, if that was Fitz's intention, one terrible quarterback shouldn't be criticizing another terrible quarterback. That would be quite classless, and even though Fitz sucks as a QB, he has always been pretty classy.

As long as they take Buddy Nix with him. Not gonna get two first round picks for him, lucky if you get one. Anquan Boldin went for a 6th round pick, and he doesn't have a monster contract that a team would have to take on.

If he would take minimum salary with incentives, where the Bills could cut him and be free in camp, then I would go for it,otherwise, no way in you know where.

I guess Stevie wants to make sure he is still the #1 receiver, wanting a major bust like him. Wonder who told Stevie he was a GM or a recruiter? He might be as good as Nix, but it isn't his job. He needs to go make a dumb video or something until mini camp starts.

Are you serious? For one that isn't just a knock it is a death sentence for a franchise, when the GM ignores the QB position. That is far from the only knock though, what else has he done? Drafted Spiller, who has turned out good, but was still a luxury pick. What else has he accomplished in his drafts? Aaron Williams in the 2nd round. Dareus is full of potential, but he took a step back last season. Gilmore was OK, but wasn't great when you consider where he was drafted. Torrell Troup in the 2nd round, with a history of health problems. What has he done for the QB position? Drafted on QB in the 7th round-he has drafted just as many kickers. Gave Fitz one of the worst contracts in Bills history. Brought in Vince Young, Tyler Thigpen, gave up a draft pick for Tarvaris Jackson and he was never active on game day. Aaron Corps certainly isn't the savior. He plucked Brian Brohm from the Packers practice squad-Nice. All the meanwhile, passed over a good portion of the good young starting QBs in the NFL for busts like Aaron Williams. If Nix's only knock is the QB position, O.J. Simpson's only knock is his terrible Hertz Rent-a-Car commercials.

Fitz is a nice guy but a bad QB, not close to NFLstarting caliber. Get over it. The Bills have sucked for 12 or 13 years, they are gonna really suck this year and probably a few years after that, so might as well get a rookie in and get him his starts. Until Nix is gone, this team isn't going anywhere but further down, like they have since he got here on his "3 year plan."

They might, but right now the Jets have two QBs better then anything we have. Gonna be like two different divisions in the AFC East, the Pats and Dolphins up top and the Bills and Jets scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
