  1. Agree. if we can just get 1.5 seconds more holding our blocks, I think Stevie will really impress people this year like victor cruz last year, and maybe someone else.

We looked like we had a great line but we really had an excellent coach who knew our weaknesses and his them as long as possible. Short throws and run to hide an average o line.

Fingers crossed this year is different.

  2. I agree with San Jose. I never understood why Lights Out never took the right and longer steps to fully repair and recover a few years ago the achilles. I'm happy for the guy, and glad we gave him a shot.

I also don't fault any of these guys that take that risk on hgh. For many they have no other career and know this is their shot to make as much G Jack as possible. They take every and any risk for our enjoyment. I'm not saying I condone, want mysons to make that choice, but I do understand it.

I hope he for the sake of us, and his family is back and ready to go. Wat a great story!

Can you hear it on NFL Network, ESPN with Berman, CBS Pre-Game, etc where there is that feel good story of Merriman is back, Mario after his injury is back, Kelsey is now showing what he can do, etc.?

This could be a season of much adou about nothing or a spectacular story in week 9 where we are 7-2, walking into the easier part of the season.

    Go Bills!!!

  3. Beating the JETS, JETS, JETS is paramount. I want us to beat them so handidly that we finish running the clock for a 20 pt spread. Then they will be nervous, the chants for Tebow starts and the second game gets easier at home.

The Chiefs will be much tougher with Romeo and a healthy team out there. I don't see a loss with the Browns, and then we get our Darth Vadar in the Patsies.

We walk out 3-1 or 4-0 and we have something special.

    Get ready guys.

    19-0!

  4. Let's not fool ourselves. There is a lot hgh out there. I wouldn't doubt it on him, but others as well. Bottom line is if he is finally healthy, we have a nice rotation between him and Kelsey behind the other Ends, and then possibly Edwards, and Johnson behind the inside guys with maybe Carrington as the developmental player, we are going to be good.

That was a nice story today in M. Williams having very little talent around him, and plugging away for years. He was hurt with the pectoral tear by game 5 when he finally had a supporting cast. That means he's never had Lights Out, and the rest there so the future looks bright.

    Can't wait for mid September.

    19-0!

  5. The Bills have a chance. I worry with Lloyd added to their team, and a sound defensive draft, they will improve, but they lost o lineman to retirement and I thought they lost another. We all know about the defensive improvements, but the key to us winning is chan has improved our o line enough so these guys hold their blocks for a little longer. We need a vertical threat which opens things up for Fredex.

We come in with that 2-3 second short passing routes crap, they play press and we get killed. I am saying prayers this line becomes awesome and we can Stevie for the 18 yard pass and get some yac. We get a few of these and we win.

    Go Bills!

  6. 1. I would first be at that game. told my wife I don't care how much it costs, I'm making it to the superbowl if the bills made it back.

    2. Cry, Drink, Cry, Drink, Laugh, Tell Stories for the rest of my life about the Bills. Wait, that's what I do now.

    3. Definitely fly back to Buffalo for the parade.

Lastly, pray because hell froze over.

  7. I'm concerned as well as the Cincy game exposed the flaws of the offense. I know we will have a better running game and expect a better line to create holes. My fingers are crossed the o line additions will create more time to pass. We may have not been sacked often last year, but that's only because Chan drew up short passing routes.

If the line gives Fitz 1-2 seconds more we can pass more in deeper routes which allows Fred larger holes.

The other factor is we were in one of the worst field positions in the league due to such a bad defense. We give Chan a shorter field to work from calling plays, we should get better. I'm optimistic, but certainly not a lock we will be tons better. I don't think I've ever been more uncertain where we could go from 7-9 to 12-4. In years past, we all knew they sucked. Now I'm just hoping Chan is as good as I think he is as an innovator.

    Go Bills!

  8. Nice post. I'm with many of you in that I open this site up every morning before work. It's a passion or sickness depending on perspective. The best part of this wall is you just maintain that excitement much longer for the season to start again.

I'm flying up for the Patsies game. Hopefully, we'll be 3-0 at that point.

    19-0 Baby

  9. I always like when we play the patsies at home first as we seem to play them better. We have closed the gap and as our friends have said we decimate the Jets, hopefully take the chiefs who will be better and rebuilding browns, we could be looking at 4-0.

We'll lose some down the stretch, but a good y.ear a coming.

    19-0 baby!

  10. There's just no way to know, but in ota's there was quite a bit of tape of him going full speed and looked good. His problem was he never did what he should have done three years ago in the major surgical repair. Given he'll only be a rotational player sharing time with Anderson, I think he could be the real deal this year.

To the knucklehead who doesn't think that kind of power is instrumental in getting past the massive left tackles in this league, go back and start watching football. Change of direction matters, but so does speed, strength, and technique.

    19-0 Baby!

  11. This topic is a waste of time. He's not my accountant, my consultant in how to advance my business, or my engineer in R&D. He has played the game well for a long time, has a long track record, and I could care less if he knows what a prime number is from E=MC Hammer.

Can he cover like Revis? Hopefully he makes enough money because he kicked butt for us for a decade that he never works again. God bless.

    Go Bills!

    19-0!

  12. Byrd is a free safety and agree he has improved in his overall game where you will see our safety play as a real strength. This will be especially true given not only the rush, but having guys in their natural positions in the 4/3. Reed had that benefit, I agree so we'll see. Troy p. Is a strong safety so comparing apples to oranges. Now in a recent rating scale where one of those kind of sites rated strong safeties in the NFL, and those analysts placed George Wilson second in the NFL behind Troy P.

Can't wait to see some pics from these guys this year.

    Go Bills!

  13. I guess I'm old fashioned, but I like Berman. You know how you go to the same dry cleaner for years because your comfortable with the place, how they starch your shirts, etc. I know what I get with Berman. He is going to be so positive about the Bills this year especially if we start winning early. Don't all of you want on the #1 NFL pre game show a positive voice for the Bills each week.

C'mon you can't tell me some of you look forward to hearing the old phrase "no one circles the wagons" and Berman can't wait to say it. I agree with everyone he should stick to the pre and post game shows with good talent around him. It will most likely be painful hearing him as a color analyst for one of the MNF game.

  14. Well this thread has been funny. Bottom line is our worst enemy was a terrible front office which then chose poor coaching and put mediocre to just bad talent on the field. Our worst loss in twenty years was Ralph letting pollen go. Butler was decent but mortgaged the farm to put talent on the field and we went in salary cap hell. All of these qb's were bad on bad teams.

That's why we have all painfully suffered dealt team after dealt team. It's also why i think many of you are starting to get excited over chan, buddy, wholly and Ralph opening up the wallet.

How can anyone say Collins, Johnson, stone hedge Bledsoe, jp, or Edwards were that good. I really believe in our front office, coaching, and think fitzy is going to have a good year. Better QB coaching, better line, solid running game, and no rib injury means we may be coming out of this abysmal decade drought.

    Go Bills!

  15. Your forgetting one of the other biggest acquisitions we've had in Whaley. I couldn't agree more I've never been so excited in our mgmt and coaching, but whaley was instrumental in the steelers continuing to create depth year after year in the scouting dept.

I believe we may now have the scouting and mgmt to create a real team. Good thread partner.

They had nothing when they walked in here and anyone who has built a great team knows it takes years to do it. It is so hard to do it in months if you don't have the talent. It is by far the most important thing a leadership team does in getting the right clay.

  16. I wouldn't pick Stevie either for the maturity issues. He'll grow out of it but you bet on Fred Ex. I always think of captains as those guys at halftime when your down by 14 getting your head back in the game and holding everyone together. I also see a captain as the guy who holds people accountable. If they are missing their assignment, you hear it. Kyle Williams is that kind of guy.

    Fitzy and Fredex

Kyle Williams and George Wilson or Nick Barnett

    Moorman and Mcintyre

  17. The other point that nfl commentators don't seem to mention is not only will SG, and AW do a nice job on the outside, but the real studs in our back end are George Wilson, and Jarius Byrd. I see these two getting lots of picks, and possibly some opportunities on the 3rd and long blitzes. George has a nack for the ball.

To your point on Mckelvin, he'll have less ground to defend as he will be a third corner at best, and probably will be fine. TM will be a rotational guy and most likely extend his career with less injuries.

  18. I just finished the family thing with the bbq and family, and watching the NFL Top 100.

Looking at Justin Smith, and Jared Allen in the top 20, it makes me think about our line this year. To have dominent DE's, you have to dominate on the inside. Can not only KW, and MD just punish people, but will our rotational guys bring the heat so our Ends just hurt people.

I say yes. Between SJ, and DE, or AC, and maybe if healthy TT, coupled with SM, and CK on the outside, we could have something special.

    What say you?

  19. Bell was never a stud for us. He was often injured and i agree not Peters. i wish we had a better front office a few years ago not to lose a guy like peters, and others, but moving on.

Philly can enjoy avg play from Bell for 6 games, and then they'll get another LT b/c DB will get hurt again if hx repeats itself.

I'm happy with CG, Hairston, and so on. We more depth now. Wood makes it through a year, and we can be a stout line. It will make Fitzy and Fredex look amazing.

  20. That was a good interview from PK on NFL Radio.

For those of you who don't have Sirius, it is worth it simply for that radio show. The broadcasters are good, and the Bills actually get quite a bit of play. I've called in several times and it is so nice to hear the national guys first really know the bills strengths and weaknesses, and the excitement for what the Bills will do. And no, I don't wirk for Sirius, my wife just tells me I'm addicted to it as it's always on in my car.

    Go Bills!
