Who ?
Selective memories here it seems.
Jim was brought in for his smarts and Vet Leadership which he had in aces.
But his body is about done,
I respect the man , as he has been a gamer for many years .
Lets move on folks.
Mark you do make a good point , someone will probably pick him up again . Not the Bills though. I would take Kenny Ladler over Ole gentleman Jim
Agreed. If he gets a call, it will be in September when there are injuries as you can just plug him into most systems. I'm hopeful we'll have enough depth not to need him.

I agree. Goodwin proved he has good hands as well and some serious speed.
Now can Chandler get his first step back as he had sure hands, but was a step slower after his ACL the previous year. I'm sure he will be. Also, can Moeaki really deliver this year. We could really have a chance if so.

Well if we stopped them in the 3rd quarter, we could have won that game. it's 23 years ago. Time to let it go.
I know it sucks. That was the only one where we were close. I just moved to Tampa 6 days before, and watched it across the street at the then Tampa Bay Mall. They had a movie screen on the wall of the mall, and the radio stations were blasting audio.
It was awesome for a 23 yr old kid who didn't have the money to go to the game, but hanging with 15,000 fans in the parking lot. The mall has since been taken down, and now is One Bucs Place, and is state of the art for a practice facility.

So let's assume we have Mike Williams, Watkins, Woods, and Goodwin as the top 4, and Easley due to his ST play. Who's the last guy? There is this argument on Hogan.
Who else as i believe they've grown tired of Graham, but could be wrong. Who would be a better option?
I'm not in upstate NY so I won't have access live to the OTA's, training camp, or anything else. I hear from so many local guys how much they like Hogan. I don't have an opinion. His highlights look nice last week, but they are just highlights.

Gee, I wonder if you really care or you're just complaining because she's a Democrat. You say the others are "grandstanding", but then you want her to also. Make up your mind. And I'll bet she gets more votes next election in Western NY than whoever the Republicans put up.
You misinterpreted my comments on grandstanding. I don't care whether they are left or right. In my opinion all politicians grandstand on both sides. I'm glad they are to provide as much coverage as possible and keep our Bills here.
You sound like your sensitive to the left right thing. That is not my intention. My point is she should get out in front of this issue so she can do the right thing, and also helps her political case in 2015.

oh and that late 90's defense was the best we ever had with Paup, Spielman, Big Teddy, and PW. You'd have to throw Bruce as the last cog.
-
This looks fun, but would take too much time. God how fun would it be to see OJ with Kelly, Andre opposite Moulds.

Guys, he could have a cocaine problem, but not for sure. He's not gay unless he is a bi-sexual as i know three girls he has hit on, and one that dated him briefly.
If he really has mental health issues, then I understand why no one wants to take a flier on him. It's too bad as he had promise when he was here in Tampa.

Who?
The other NYS US Senator.
That's kind of my thinking. I think that they are being very calculating and choosing their words wisely. Obviously, they all want the Bills to stay. It is in all of their best interests. I am not reading too much into it.
From a political standpoint, she is creating political suicide by not creating a united front, standing behind Schumer at conferences, It is important for her to let Schumer and Cuomo grandstand, but she should be making the trips and stand behind them stating we are all together during Q & A.
She won't get one vote out of Western NY if she does not. If I were her opponent in re-election would blast her daily on this point. If there is one thing Buffalonians are passionate about is the Bills.

The thing is that the Bills probably already feel they've got their Jermichael Finley, in the form of Tony Moeaki.
Finley before that crushing hit was durable, vs. Moeaki who cannot stay healthy. I'd love to see Moeaki workout, but past performance predicts future performance and Finley was fantastic for years. I understand your comment though and hope he works out.

The Jets should worry about us.
You go PTR!
Hell Yeah. Chris Johnson has been pedestrian at best for the last couple of years. Vick has a significant losing record the last couple of years, and Decker is a good WR. He's the only decent WR they have and I agree, we will split with them to maybe we sweep. We will also either split or sweep Miami. We have to split with NE. That is critical! If we win at home in October, that would be meaningful.
Now if we win in December in Foxboro, that would be phenomenal. I don't expect to win that game, but it would show a significant change in this team. Schwartz better have the answer in how to pressure Brady. The ONLY way to beat Brady is by putting him on the ground, and stopping the run. Let's give Spikes some extra raw meat, and eggs before those two games.
-
Nope for me.
What I would like is a flier on Jermichael Finley. If he believes he is healthy enough to play, and our doctors, and James Andrews and others clear him, why not?
He was one of the most disruptive tight ends in football before his injury. It's his choice to return or not. If he takes his $10,000,000 insurance policy which is the smart move, then god bless him, and enjoy the next phase of your life. If he and the medical professionals truly believe he is fine, post fusion surgery, then he could be fantastic in this offense. A big, playmaking TE, who is a difference maker. As long as we do a Revis deal meaning he gets a nice income on a two year deal higher than average for a TE, but no guaranteed money, our risk is mitigated well.
He's not in a position of strength to demand guaranteed money. The upside could be an explosive offense. I'd want him over Moeaki any day of the weak.

You may have said it a little harshly, but i got to agree with the sentiment.
The stadium should be built on the water. For those who have said 'i don't want to ruin the waterfront with a stadium', are you joking??? The waterfront in Buffalo is pathetic compared to cities like Cleveland and Pitt, both towns that embraced the waterfront and developed on it!
Good, gosh i can already see why so little happens in Buffalo. I can only hope that strong decisive leaders exist and will make swift and accurate decisions. Forget about what ever constituent has to say, get something done!
If that is a serious concern, a major developer could get rid of that eye soar in Bethlehem Steel, and place right on the border of downtown. There is so much waterfront land, and then build the hotels, restaurants around it. We'd get rid of that mess, build up our waterfront, and beautify another part of the city. It's also so close to the downtown waterfront, there would be a ton of business developed from the experience. I only mention this as an alternative to the logical choice of NF as that is the only shot of someday getting a shot at a SB.

I thought they were gonna be sponsored by 7/11. You got my hopes up.
We should go for 7/11 to do naming rights. Hell, there are over 50,000 stores mostly franchised. That would be great marketing for them.
-
No kidding. These next three months really drag out at least from a Football perspective.
-
Agreed. There were a couple of fun jokes though above.
-
The original article convinces me even more we need to have the Stadium built in NF to capitalize on corporate dollars from Canada, and Rochester.
The other attractive part for these potential owners, is the tax write off for the next 15 years. They can sell the name of the stadium, and I do still believe the Bills stay in Buffalo.
-
How can anyone rate our LB corp as elite when we haven't played a down yet? You can make some of the positive assertions in our RB's as we rated 2nd in the NFL. last year. Meanwhile, as much as I like Kiko, we were horrible against the run.
I believe we improved over last year in talent, but they have not gelled yet, and we'll see if Spikes can defend against the pass. I would not compare these guys though to SF. Those guys are the best in the NFL.
-
They'll carry more RBs this year as they prepare to move on from Spiller and FJ. Spiller will have to produce like in 2012 to get the new contract. More likely he has a decent year, and we insert some of these new guys. FJ has one more year, and I don't see him getting another contract after 2015. He'll retire a Bill. No one else is picking up a 35-36 yr old RB.
Don't get me wrong as FJ is my favorite Bill all the way back to Kelly.

I've heard rumors that his career has been derailed by some significant drug issues (cocaine). If true, it would explain a lot.
This was a rumor here in town. It's not true as he's been drug tested a ton by the NFL. Now, there are also some rumors here in Tampa, he had some mental health issues. He was rattled by Schiano's staff. I don't think he's our next starter, but rather could be worth a tryout to see if he can make the third spot on the roster. I like Thad and want him to be our #2. He earned that last year splitting games with almost no time to prepare.
For one of the previous posts, Freeman had two good seasons. Not from a winning perspective, but in his TD to INT ratio. He was just on a bad team.

The LA threat is the best way to get the rest of the teams to upgrade their stadiums. The Bills aren't going anywhere. The Fish aren't moving.
The thing that drives me crazy is how LA couldn't keep two teams there and they were constantly low in attendance, even though there are 4 million people there.
-
I say he makes it to 40. He's still a heck of a QB. Once you hit 40, the body does not recover as well. Part of his dip in production was related to his WR. I didn't see him decline, rather he had nobodies to throw to all year, and he even made that work at 12-4.
I'm not a Pats fan, but I respect the guy. I like Kelly's comment about us improving our team. I'd rather beat the guy vs. start winning after he retires. That would be very deflating.
-
I'm happy for Frank. He's by no means ready to be a head coach. Just think of Raheem Morris. He was promoted far too early. If he gets experience over the next few years, he probably can progress to becoming a head coach.

You have no idea how wrong you are, that coming from multiple people in the know and behind the scenes per several articles that have been written about it. They are very scared of f***ing with Cuomo and/or Schumer considering Cuomo is likely a presidential candidate and Schumer a very powerful Senator.
The NFL has a "mob" mentality...they make a ton of money and have some very questionable breaks given to them by Congress. All they want to do is keep making money and be left alone, upsetting as few people in the process as possible who could put a big kink in the money hose, so to speak. There is ZERO chance they do something that could upset someone like Cuomo and/or Schumer, its just not how they operate. Moving the Bills just isn't worth the potential loss of the golden egg.
I haven't read the rest of this thread yet, but your right on the money. What benefit do politicians have of a team in Toronto? None. They have leverage and the owners know it. This is about getting a new stadium, and getting a decent price for the Bills. With a new stadium close to the border they cash in on increased Canadien dollars spent in the US, and increased Regional revenue from people in Rochester.
They do not want Cleveland again. Spending time there for work, it is such an ugly scene with how hated Modell is for selling the team, and moving, even though I understand why he did it.
The owners do not want this to happen again. It is one thing for Jax, San Diego, etc. these are good teams, but they do not have the fan base and traditions like Buffalo. The NFL owners know this point. It is more than Buffalo as they get the regionalization of most of upstate NY, which is still one of the most populated states in the Nation.
Just watched Super Bowl XXV, I now blame the review, not Norwood.

Well it was the only SB we were competitive. The other three were embarrassing. I actually thought the 4th we had a shot as we were up in the first half. Then we fell apart again for the 4th time.
If we ever get there again, I'll be at this one.
