  1. You guys covered it on Gronk. Nix was desperate for more beef on D-Line, so just goes to show that don't just fill need when you have the better player. I think Carrington will make this team due to his athleticism, and flashes last year. If Troup doesn't improve significantly in this camp, he's cut. I didn't see much from him when he was on the field. It's too bad about his back, but we need excellent depth. It wouldn't hurt if we can afford it against the cap to keep some veterans like SJ and DE.

  2. These are scripted interviews. Wanny is definitely a throw back to 70's porn movies. That was funny.

I like the guy. A couple of threads were about the game passing him by. I don't think so. If that were true about older guys, how come an older guy like Tom Coughlin keeps winning at jax, but moreso at NYG.

Wanny has the blueprint like at the cowboys to beat the patsies. I still maintain guys like Nix have a good plan like how he was instrumental at SD to win, and a guy like Chan has the skills to win if he has the ingredients. No more blowing the plan every two years looking for a quick fix.

    Go Bills!

  3. I too hope MJ makes the team. He seems from all accts to be a decent guy with raw talent. He also seems much more natural as an OG, than a NT.

BTW- That had to be 235 lbs., not 225 lbs., as those clamps look to me to me to be the 5 lbs. ones. Sounds insignificant to some, but if you lifted all of your life, 10 lbs. is not insignificant. Even more impressive.

    Go Bologna Manwich!

Now can someone teach him how to eat as he could easily lose 15 more lbs., be that much faster on his feet, and it's not like he gives up leverage.

Sh@@t, he would be going to an anorexic 360 lbs. with another 15 lb's gone.

  4. Thanks for the link on strength of schedule. We just need to split the beginning of the schedule at 5-4 to 6-3. The back half will be fun where all of a sudden the media will say we're getting hot at the right time when really the schedule favors us with more home games and easier opponents.

To the argument that it is not as good to have several late home games will hurt Buffalo, I disagree. We had poor attendance in the past few years because we were out of the playloffs by mid-November, vs. This year we are getting hot. I predict if we are walking into thanksgiving at 7-4, you'll see a packed Ralph.

We can finish with a playoff record, most likely a wildcats spot. I can't wait for September.

    Go Bills!

  5. A lot of good points. What it highlights to me is a fantastic front office from president, gm, scouting and yes owner. Then finally a good coach looks great because as parcels said "has the right ingredients in the soup" to make a great soup.

I do think Gailey is going to look better and better because Nix and Whaley, and hopefully Ralph keeps up with a commitment to win, a methodical plan, and then it is truly up to Chan, Wanny, and team to get it done.

The truly exceptional ones if I understood the original thread comes from the guys who had lemons and made lemonade. These guys have already been stated like Parcells, etc.

  6. If he's open for the league minimum, I'd throw him in camp for some of your reasons. He can most likely with a year under his belt be a decent third down threat and definitely a red zone threat.

He just can't be an every down WR. If we accept a cheap excellent threat with some incentives in place, I agree.

  7. Thks everyone from a Buffalo Guy living somewhere else, but love my town. My whole family is still there, and every thread is a reminder of where I came from as a real Buffalonian.

One of the guys who mentioned how you meet a real Buffalo guy and you feel like your home couldn't be more right. It's so reproducible it's unreal.

I love this town, and Go Bills!!!

OUTSIDE OF THE OF COURSE FAMILY, FRIENDS, GREAT PEOPLE, AND A WORKING CLASS (EVEN IF WHITE COLLAR) ATTITUDE YOU JUST DON'T HAVE IN OTHER PLACES. My wife is from Long Island and she tells me when she spends time in Buffalo, she feels there is nothing like the people.

    GO BILLS!

  9. There are a very lot of people in here who don't know squat about defense. Don't worry, they'll never learn.

    -Morrison a bust

    -Merriman is STILL an LB

-Scott is just a backup and may be cut

    -Wilson is too old

    -Whitner was always beat deep

    -Poz couldn't cover

    -4-3=3-4

    -Our LB's suck.

Those are examples of when I stop reading threads or members content.

Ok, this is my first negative post. Wilson is too old? You don't know football!!!!! This guy was rated the second best SS in the NFL behind Troy in Pitt. Scott is depth you moron for various packages, and we need to create depth at every position. If you haven't noticed we have been so thin at every position, we always start our downward slide when we start losing people after the first 6-7 games.

Merriman is still a LB. So is Ware! I know he has not produced anything to date, but now that he finally had his full surgical repair, do you really think he can't be a rotational player that creates depth for us behind Anderson.

Poz is gone as well as Whitner. Just an fyi. And if you know football so well on 3-4, vs. 4-3 you would know we have players more suited for a 4-3, and so we made a wise decision to improve by playing to players strengths. Why do you think Wanny is having M. Williams play on the left side, meaning lining up on the Right Tackle. BECAUSE that is where he plays best, vs the blind side.

I can't stand these buttheads who want to sound smart as they just automatically think we will be poor, and don't want to billievve. Why don't you stop watching football and we don't have to listen to your on these threads or even better, just follow the Patriots or Jets. I'd love that. Then we can maintain people who are logical, hopeful, but realistic, and want our team to win. At least i wouldn't have to read dingbats who are not real fans of the Bills.

You are NOT a BILLS FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    19-0

BTW- Played my whole life and coached for years, so yes, I know what I'm talking about.

Anyone else feel this way? I'm sick of these guys on our TBD. I've had enough of the glass is half empty, it's going to rain today, no I can't get that job, whatever. Go Away!

    PTR What do you think?

  10. If I had to compare what I see Nix doing it looks a lot like the 49er's and Texans. I'll take it. They controlled most games, and could pass when they needed to do so. The 49er's were so close to winning and going to the SB with their plan, and the Texans if not for losing their QB could have possibly gone farther.

This tells me we are on the right path. POUND, POUND, and POUND again. As far as defense, I think your earlier posts are correct in yes we are set up to stop the run well, but also very much so a pressure the QB pass defense. It will be the best of both worlds.

On the NFL Radio, I like what PK said yesterday, that it wasn't the offense's fault last year, and even with injuries were scoring points. It was the defense giving up over 6000 yards. I love the praise we're getting from the national media, and doesn't make me nervous at all.

    19-0 Baby!

  11. Guys:

The MRags guy's comment was so silly I have trouble commenting. I had the deadlift national record in powerlifting and took the bronze in the US championships. That was years and years of training and technique to pull serious weight.

Lifting 1000 lbs is not easy even for a few inches. The video looks altered, but not taking anything away from Marcel as he is a strong guy. He had no leverage in that lift so would have popped a disc if he really lifted anything of significant weight.

  12. The real upside here is as much pressure as these front 4 (alternates included as they will stay fresh) OMG how good wil Byrd, and Wilson look. The hype has been on the CB with Gilmore, and Williams, but my money right now for pics will be on on my guy George, and yes J. Byrd.

As someone stated before, with a nice special teams, Fitzy will have good field position, i'm guessing a good running game with our guys and line so pass game will look better.

If there is a God in Heaven, let us come out of the first 9 games at 6-3 at best, and worst 5-4. The last 7 will be fun, and all roads lead to the playoffs.

    Whoo Whoo!

  13. Guff:

Once you get to 5 pages of threads I only scan, but with this one, I read every comment. I hope you did too. Someone that works with me on my team just lost her husband.

I was thinking of you and you have a large extended Bills Fan family out there. Thanks again for your dad helping to make this great team a success.

    God Bless!!

  14. Don't be surprised if Levitre is flipped to RG as it is a harder position. LG pulls with the Center and LT, as most QB's are right handed and when they rol, they roll to the right. The RG is on his own for at a minimum a premier DT in many defenses. Levitre is a better athlete, than Urbik. Not a cut on Urbik, just a guess so we'll see if I'm right.

For once we are not in a spot where we are so scared for anyone on the line to go down. We finally are starting to gain depth in the different spots in our offense and defense.

    Go Bills!

  15. Canks:

Don't disagree and these mock drafts are not worth the paper we are starting as you know it depends on the best player available at that time matched with need. I'm not against a OG. I think outside of LT, RG is one of the hardest positions to play on the line as so many lines pull left and the RG is out there on one on ones often.

  16. Guffalo:

I lost my mom 4 years ago on my 40th birthday, and it was tough. Nothing we can say will make you feel better, but know he was part of what generated what we love in our team. Those graphics were fantastic and started it all for Bills fans.

I'm sure you are so proud of him, and even though the memories the first year are so hard, it gets better.

    All the best.

  17. I'd never root or bet SM goes on IR as that is betting against the Bills. I'm agreed with a number of you, with a 50% role he will shine. The best of this issue is we finally, FINALLY, have some depth. Imagine it is week 7 and Mario goes down for two weeks, and you still have a rotation of the other three whipping opposing QB's, and then Super Mario comes back with a vengeance, and CK goes down for a couple of weeks.

That's been our problem and what Buddy has been talking about lately in interviews. No Depth. I'm just praying Nigel, and Tank, are as good as I hope they are to back up when NB, KS, etc get hurt, and Mcgee can be who he once was as he doesn't get borken down the whole year. Just has to do it for four weeks when let's say AW gets hurt.

This is the most hopeful part of our off season as we don't have some retread as a back up who you know is going to be horrible as soon as the starter goes down for a couple of weeks, then they rish back and get hurt again and go on IR.

    Our year fellas.
