Gronk's,contract is $9 mil avg on paper only. Look it up. So much of it is backloaded, he's not really making that so far. He recvd 16 mil guaranteed I'm guessing Graham will get 8 mil for 5 years with around the same guaranteed.
The other top TE are making 7-7.25 mil per yr with less guaranteed.
He's not a WR, he's a TE. He may be the best in the game, but still is a TE.

I certainly hope for his sake he voluntarily goes to rehab and stays locked up there until he is really clean. His behavior doesn't indicate as simply a knucklehead, but having a substance abuse issue. If it would help, Chris Carter should sit down and talk with him. He came back after abusing alcohol losing his job at Philly to have a HOF career.
The kid has so much talent. He sealed his fate for a definite full year of suspension.

As much as I like the idea of placing the stadium in Lackawanna, it would seem the coordination of federal money, as well as everything else would make it quite a complicated endeavor.
If it could be done, that would be great. Just like if NF was the choice, the state would need to spend considerable funds to improve transportation and infrastructure.
Therefore, the easiest solution is to place downtown. I still like the other two choices, but one would require a coordination of federal funds, and the other with state funds. That's not including the state and county funds for the actual construction of the stadium in a private/public project.

I think dragon born is saying with his mistakes we could probably extend him for much less than when he is peaking a demands top DT money.
We can't afford to do what we have in the past cultivating young talent, then losing them to other teams. I'd love to lock him up for four to five years. I don't know where we stand though in cap money so it would have to be backloaded (I remember after draft picks were signed we only had about 5 mil).

Great time to put Lou Saban on the stadium wall!
The sale would have to be final before that happens. Wilson never let that go with Saban. He was an excellent coach. If everyone remembers, we not only won in 64 & 65, but we also played the Chiefs for the AFL title in 66. Unfortunately we lost 31-7 in War Memorial. Had we won, we would have played in the first SB. Granted with the Packers, we probably would have lost, but we still would have made it.
Doug squared, bring it home for us.

Stimulants my butt. He took steroids or GH. I know they can't test for GH, but he must have taken something to put on 17lbs. Of muscle in 6-7 mos.
It's not possible. I've lifted hard for 32 years. I competed at a high level in powerlifting for 13 years. You don't gain 17lbs that fast even of you train at an extreme level and eat perfectly.
Stimulants like Adderal do not put on that kind of weight. The rules in the CBA is they can't tell you what he was nabbed for, just either substance abuse, or PED. He was nabbed for PED. That means he's loading up with something putting the weight on.
I really don't care but if he is going to cheat , he's dumb. You'd think he would have loaded up on GH which they don't test and works as well if not more than traditional steroids. They're also terrible for your health, and yes I've always been clean, but your going to be around that stuff when you train in heavy hitter gyms for powerlifting and bodybuilding.
I'm glad he was caught as cheating is cheating. Period. Lastly, I couldn't agree more he is their Maybin.

Sammy showed real class in his response. I'm not a twitter guy, but that was truly professional. If this is any indication of how he carries himself moving forward, I love it.
Now we just need him and Mike Williams to blow it up this year.
-
I never understood losing him as he wasn't that expensive, and played very well for us. I hope he heals and can still play as I like the guy as a player, but if not, hopefully he invested well so is in a good spot.

I know. This is filler for the boring summer without football. It doesn't surprise me they may have only a small percentage vote on the top 100.
I don't really care though.
-
Hopefully it works for the players sake. If they can prove it without a shadow of a doubt, the NFL will adopt. This is the biggest concern for them now not to bankrupt the league.

Trust me, I just went through 37 days of treatment for leukemia and my weight dropped from a slim 155 to a out 105 pounds in that time. I lost the ability to walk, and could barely stand. Cancer and treatment will destroy you. I was alarmed but not surprised to see Jim Kelly so frail, but he's been through the fire. If the cancer is controlled, he'll get better.
I'm doing much better these days by the way!
Brother I'm sorry to hear, but glad you're getting better. Cancer sucks, but respect fighters like you. My family will say prayers for you so you get completely in remission. Keep the gang posted. We may debate about the Bills, but still love talking to you guys.
Happy 4th! Go eat some burgers today and enjoy your family.
Great news!
God for his family's sake, I hope this is accurate.

That was fun to watch. I was only 8 in 1975, and remember my grandmother taking me downtown on the bus for the day. Nice memories, and was like being in a different world from the suburbs.
I'm trying not to get too excited about the recent Pegula news, but you just wonder if he buys the team, and puts a stadium downtown how cool that would be overall for Buffalo.

Ok - look what happens when you have a busy day at work. OP, in the profound words of Sgt Hulka, "Lighten up Frances".
There is no upside dude to going 0-16.
How about we actually create momentum and capitalize on the additions we have in depth. Anyway, just enjoy your 4th and stop running down the hall with your hair on fire.
-
You want us to go 0-16 when we have no 1st round pick?
CBF
Thanks CBF. Working so didn't see this until now. Enough said.

Joey Diaz has some definite opinions on the subject. NSFW Link
Hilarious!

old timer, on this one I think your running down the hall with your hair on fire. You place lots of good posts, but I don't see it the same. We have talent to play a 4-3 and 3-4. last year we lined up as much in a 4-3 as a 3-4. They added nice depth in needed positions with drafting Brown, and more importantly picking up Graham which is a nice find at CB but could also be a safety, Spikes who will bolster against the run, and Nigel is better suited for the Will in a 4-3.
Kiko will hurt, but it doesn't mean the sky is falling.
We'll be fine partner. What disappoints me is my hopes were very high with an improved offensive pass play, a better more athletic bigger line means a better run, so more ball control, and a more well rested defense. I thought Kiko moving to the Will meant he breaks out this year even more, and we have a punishing defense. With that said, losing him doesn't mean we will suck.

For the comment they start with Geno, I'm not sure. The safe bet for Rexxy to save his job is go with Vick, see how he does, and if he gets hurt or does not say start with 3-1, he puts to bed the QB controversy and he throws Geno in there.
He'll be inconsistent again and their defense will probably be a top 5 defense again. This gives them 8-8 again, and Rex is gone.

Yolo, you're funny. I'd give up every gold medal in the Olympics in two years for a SB win.
Even in synchronized swimming.
-
Vader- you have to go. I've lived in Tampa for 23 years, but grew up in Buffalo.
Going to the real deal for the opening game is just awesome. The energy can only maybe rivaled in GB, Pit, or KC.

I agree on the concussion thing. Living down in FL it is still surprising to me how fanatical people are about NASCAR.
My middle son follows it almost as closely as football.

I say we get red shoes, blues shoes, and white shoes. Same for pants, then the shirts, then the helmets. We alternate every game with no rhyme or reason. One week all red, then blue, then white. It will be chaos, anarchy. Cats and dogs living together. It will be crazy.
We'll mess with the colorblind fans all year.
Then again, we could just finally put a good team together and start winning. Nah, let's stick with the shock and awe with color changes.
Just kidding everyone. I don't care what is the color of the helmet. They all look cool.

KJ - I think your right in the ballpark. This morning I heard from one of the past GM's thinking they'll resolve by camp just like the Bree's dealmwithnprobably $20 mil guaranteed and they reported thinking around 9.5-10 mil / yr.

I love these. Keep them coming. I only had so much time on the radio this morning, but would have loved some of these examples.
That McKelvin one was brutal vs. the Patriots. It was like, really, what the hell does it take to beat these guys.

Soccer is right above synchronized swimming on the list of sports
BDT - I laughed from the belly on this one. Thanks.
it's funny last night I'm picking up takeout from Carrabbas and had a glass of wine while waiting for the order. This guy next to me tries to convince me the NFL will be overtaken by soccer in the next 30 years in the US. He cites how moms aren't letting their sons play football, and how soccer is getting so popular at the lower levels.
My response was simply, "have you ever seen Friday night lights here in FL?". Have ever been to AL or Texas? Dude, mthe best athletes by far are in football, basketball, and baseball. It's even close the level of athletic ability for these kids down here. They start tackle practice in August for the competitive football as early as 6 years old 6 days a week in August. They have off season leagues for skills development and so on.
Soccer will never I mean ever take off like our major sports, and just because I live in the south we don't have as much hockey, but it is growing. Hell, mew have a fast growing sport in FL in Lacrosse over soccer.

I love FREDEX but he's getting older. I truly appreciated Kyle's comments on Dareus challenging him to get his act together.
We will need younger leaders to emerge. I'm hopeful EJ comes along, and I don't think it will be Mario. He performs but is not a leader.
Who knows. What is Brandon Spikes has an outrageous year, they extend his contract and he establishes an attitude on the defense. It's all wild speculation, but would love to see new leaders emerge.
