Peyton Manning played through torn quad since mid-Dec
peterpan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was obviously toast all December. It was sad to watch. I am very glad it was an injury and not simply his age. I hope he comes back. Peyton is the best ever and has significant class unlike those cheaters out on the east coast whom deserve an asterisks next to every victory and record they "earned" -
"The Process" (time to change the rule)
peterpan replied to Cugalabanza's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The ball never really came lose. He hit the ground an the ball shifted but never left his hand. Then dezrolled over and re-grasped the ball batter. He never lost the ball. Common sense says that's an obvious catch and the rule needs to be fixed -
True cost of Bills' Watkins trade
peterpan replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Multiple executives where quoted, albeit anonymously, that OBJ was their teams top rated WR. Heck even Buffalo was targeting him with their 9th pick if they couldnt trade up for Sammy. It was between Beckum and Ebron -
An Injection of Facts Re QB recently Drafted
peterpan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, that was Bridgewater, who was the last pick in the 1st round IIRC. Bortles was all over the draft board. And I find it very likely the only team who thought so highly of him was Jax. Jus tlike Buffalo and EJ. It only takes 1 team. -
So how many catches does Odell Beckham have if a Bill
peterpan replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy had more than 4 drops on the year. That stat is not accurate. -
True cost of Bills' Watkins trade
peterpan replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think two things Marrone knows, and is right about, is that A) EJ Manual has no business starting in this league and B) trading up for Watkins was stupid when you dont have the required skill at QB to use his talents. Marrone was right about those things and it seems Whaley still hasn't come around. I do believe EJ was the main disagreement point between the Dougs (what else could they really argue about?) and that is why Marrone left. I also would bet that EJ is a huge wrench in our finding a new coach. Not having a 1st round pick is also a huge negative I'm sure, because new coaches know we need a new QB, but that would be moot if EJ was any good. The biggest defenders of Sammy say "Put him on the GIants, with Eli Manning, and Sammy would have 12 catches and 150 yards and 2 tds a game too!!!!" We are in agreement! We dont have a QB and look what kind a production you get from a stud like Sammy!!!! -
Chiefs sign Da'Rick and Pryor. TSW mourns.

Pyror could be a Calvin Johnson type WR idk why he wont just let it happen! -
You have to be an idiot to pass on the Bills HC job
peterpan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaley is pitching EJ to these guys. Any coach worth a darn would almost demand a new QB of his choosing be brought in. And it sounds like Whaley isnt going to give in. Thats basically why Marrone left. No one is chomping at the bit to come here. -
Incarcerated Bob Tweet - Marrone
peterpan replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damn I wanted a tampering pick!!! I wouldn't doubt if that was a huge reason why they backed off of marrone. Avoid the hassle all together -
My Q.B. choice 2015 draft Bryce Petty
peterpan replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think petty is my favorite qb of this draft. I see him as being a safe Andy dalton with potential for more. This team could win the division with dalton. -
this is from belicheats wiki page, so take that for what its worth. I bolded the important part, as it would seem to apply to us. "When Parcells stepped down as head coach ( of the Jets) in 1999, he had already arranged with team management to have Belichick succeed him. However, Belichick would be the New York Jets' head coach for only one day. When Belichick was introduced as head coach to the media—the day after his hiring was publicized—he turned it into a surprise-resignation announcement. Before taking the podium, he scrawled a resignation note on a sheet of loose leaf paper that read, in its entirety, "I resign as HC of the NYJ." He then delivered a half-hour speech explaining his resignation to the assembled press corps.[12] Soon after this bizarre turn of events, he was introduced as the Patriots' 12th full-time head coach, succeeding the recently fired Pete Carroll. The Patriots had tried to hire him away from Parcells/the Jets in the past. Parcells and the Jets claimed that Belichick was still under contract to the Jets, and demanded compensation from the Patriots. NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue agreed, and the Patriots gave the Jets a first-round draft pick in 2000 in exchange for the right to hire Belichick.[13]"

Did Marrone/Whaley rift start with Sammy Watkins selection?
peterpan replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cant help but laugh at people sometimes. OBJ gets 20 targets per game. Sammy gets 5. Maybe OBJ is getting open more often than Sammy? I mean, maybe, just maybe, that's the reason for more targets???? -
Did Marrone/Whaley rift start with Sammy Watkins selection?
peterpan replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
any retard could tell you that EJ was a waste of time. We really should have never drafted him. I think this was the major rift between Marrone and Whaley from Day 1. Whaley obviously stuck by EJ and not Marone. We really missed the boat on Carr and Bridgewater. We gotta find a QB. Hopefully Bryce Petty or someone can be had in teh 2nd round this year. -
We need a Coach & OC that can properly develop EJ
peterpan replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think EJ sucks and always will but what I will never understand is why teams always go after OCs who have alsltar QBs??? Like who is this adam Gaze character and no **** he looks good when P Manning is your QB!!! This is why I like the Bevell Idea. He wasn't gift wrapped a HOF quarterback. -
You guys are over thinking things. Rex's D isnt much different than what we ran this year and last year. and FWIW Rex has been quoted saying if he doesnt get a HC gig he is going to try ESPN. Plus Rexy could get us into a position to actually beat the patriots straight up.

"On Monday, Kelly called Gamble "an outstanding football man'' and said he did a "great job." During that same press conference, Kelly said Roseman was good at handling the salary cap. According to people inside the organization those quotes "infuriated'' Roseman. The general manager — who has never been a scout, played the game or coached — has worked to overcome the image of being solely a salary-cap guy." How the F does these limp d!ck weenies like this twatt and Russ Brandon get into these roles??? Seriously!?!?! This Gamble guy apparently built the totally stacked roster out in San Fran and Chip Kelly is a football Genius. But this guy thinks he is smarter? good luck with that. Lets hire this Gamble dude and Chip Kelly right away. If I was Chip I wouldn't want to be stuck with a roster built by this idiot.

We have needed a real QBs coach for years

Head Coach Candidate: Josh McDaniels
peterpan replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, it appears that he was right along along when he ditched Cutler. Also taking that WR they have there over Dez Bryant wasn't a bad move either. Plus, hate him or love him, Tebow is available and he really liked Tebow. That could be a good thing? -
Head Coach Candidate: Gus Malzahn
peterpan replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Rather than chase the latest trends floating around coaching clinics, however, the two have always built their offense around their players, in particular their quarterback. While many consider Malzahn a run-game guru, he has coached pass-happy offenses, run-heavy attacks, and evenly balanced offenses over the last seven years." Best and most important paragraph in that article -
Rapaport: Marrone was in line for lucrative extension?
peterpan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a lot of it comes down to EJ. It really seems to me that Whaley loves EJ and Marrone hates him. Marrone probably didnt want to get stuck with EJ again and have to hang his hat on that record. Yes this is pure speculation and simply my gut feeling. -
Head Coach Candidate: Gus Malzahn

Ill see your Malzahn and raise you Urban Meyer! -
Teams players don't want to sign with. Guess who is #2?
peterpan replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think GB has one player on their entire roster whom they did not draft. One free agent! That's it! Players not wanting to sign there is irrelevant. -
Head Coach Candidate: Frank Reich
