  1. Maybe you're right and the scouts are never perfect, but I still stick to my opinion on him and hope we draft someone else.
  2. I also REALLY like this Bitonio kid. I would prefer either Bitonio or Seantrel Henderson over Kouandijo and Moses. I put a check mark next to Su'a Filo also. I like your choice in Offensive Linemen my friend.
  3. I see... So they see Kouandijo as a player with an upside but with many flaws as of now. The safer pick at thos point would then be Moses if you want to win "now" since he's more ready. I agree. I'm on board for Henderson.
  4. I so hope you're wrong. I'm no scout nor do I watch college football but based on what I saw from him at the scouting combine, he is not good and not ready for the NFL. I hope we go either TE, or Linebacker cuz those two positions are not stacked with much more talent in this year's draft. All other positions can be filled with decent value in rounds 3 and 4. Also, with the amount of great talent in this year's draft class in areas of need for us, don't be surprised if a handful of UDFA make our 53 man roster. Please explain to me what you see in Kouandijo. Cuz to me, he's just horrible. 1. My dislike for Kouandijo is obvious at this point and Moses as far as I know has no hip movement. He will get beat often.
  5. Damn. I SO hope you're wrong about the vanilla defense and the excitement of his scheme. I just wish that he doesn't have an ego and can realize his flaws and correct them if you as a fan of the NFL can notice it, I'm sure he can also as a pro. Let's hope he keeps what he does good and corrects his flaws. Damn. I'm sounding like Chan Gailey/Jauron/Marrone. The "vanilla" effect is already in motion with my vanilla post.
  6. Nor was I implying you said anything really. It really WAS an honest question to you on my part. I personally feel by getting demoted, you can either take a break (unmotivated, tired, give up), or come back as a coordinator (motivated, something to prove, get head coaching job again). Is it not the goal of every coordinator to become a head coach?
  7. I say wait til we have at least 7 wins before going to that game or it will be half empty. Maybe 6 wins going into that game can muster a crowd also. But if we have 5 wins or less going into that game, you can still go if you just wanna get drunk and get out of town I guess.
  8. What's the statistic on NFL head coaches who are let go and become coordinators again? My guess is, they kick ass as coordinators after losing a head coaching job and feel like they have much to prove. Or, maybe they just simply ARE better coordinators and can't seem to overlook EVERYTHING as a head coach.
  9. I agree. We DO seem to find a way (at least recently) to bring in some intriguing UDFA/camp cuts but very few contribute/make the 53 man roster. I just wanna solidify starters through the draft with the first couple of rounds where the percentage rate of them contributing and being good/great players is a higher probability as you said.
  10. @ swnybillsfan - Well I highly doubt that doomsday scenario will happen with the 1st 8 picks lol, but it's more likely to happen if we trade TOO far back, say like the 21st or 22nd pick. Then your statement will still be on point and I completely agree. If say it did happen that way and we only had 4 picks this year (one in the 1st and three in the 2nd round), which positions would you draft? I would go Ebron in the 1st (only if he's there), then I would go Tackle, WR and LB/DE. @Kirby Jackson - I like it. I like it a lot actually. At least the first two picks that is. Cyril doesn't intrigue me much and instead of RB, I would go defensive player. Either LB or DE. But the first two picks are starters all the way. It also depends on if the point system actually works for your scenario. I believe it will cost more than our 1st and 3rd round pick to move up 4 spots in the 1st round.
  11. Yes I know this is one of the "deepest" drafts as far as talent blah blah blah in recent years. But honestly, if we can get 4 starters on the team through the draft, why not go for it? Now I'm no genius when it comes to the whole, what it would cost to trade up or trade down numbers that a couple of you guys know by heart but, I have a few scenarios of how it could be played. First, I believe we have 6 picks this year (1 pick in each of the first 5 rounds and a 7th round pick). If we stay at #9, pick our pick, also do that with our 2nd and 3rd round picks, then I believe we can trade back into the 3rd by giving up our 4th, 5th and 7th round pick of this year (I'm not sure). If we trade down a couple spots, we will have the 1st round pick of whichever team we traded with plus their 2nd round pick (and here's where it can go many different ways). We can either use those two draft picks in the 2nd round and make our pick, then trade back into the 2nd by giving up our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th round picks, or, we can trade back into the 1st by giving up both 2nd round picks plus our 7th and still have a 3rd and 4th round pick (also not sure if the draft point system works for this scenario). If we trade up, then I believe we will lose our 2nd,3rd and maybe a 7th round pick, including our #9 spot obviously, which will leave us only with a 4th and 5th round pick, so I think trading up is not beneficial for us WHATSOEVER. I like the trading down scenario I came up with where we can end up having a later 1st round pick and 3 2nd round picks and our draft being over with just that. I know you guys want depth in many positions and I understand that, but if even half of those 4 picks we pick become starters for the next 10 years, we won't have to worry about that position for a very long time. What say you?
  12. Once we can say what you said in your post, about our offensive players as WELL as our defensive players, then we will finally have a consistent football team. That doesn't rule out by any means that this year we will be good. Anything can happen with a great draft and players who were with Marrone last year, maturing into the system. We all knkw EJ is the key to production on offense, which is why LT/RT or TE is the way to go on the 1st two picks.
  13. Damn. I did NOT know that. That sucks. Well at least it WOULD suck if I went off statistics. I still think we got a shot at winning that one. Well, at least out of the last 4 games, that one is the one that looks like we got a chance.
  14. I do NOT watch college football but I watched the NFL scouting combine and I made a note to myself which I wrote in parenthesis (no bueno) which means no good, next to his name. So I didn't like what I saw from him. He's the only one I wrote that to, so to me, he stood out and not in a good way. I personally hope we stay far away from this guy.
  15. This is one of the "weirdest" offseasons for me personally. I should be super excited about the upcoming season because as a Bills fan AND looking at all the moves we're making (signing Mike Williams, the Guard who also is named Williams, Spikes and retaining our own players) from an NFL point of view, it looks like the Bills have a great shot at making the playoffs this year (especially if we pick up one or two rookies who will contribute). But I believe I finally caught the, I'll believe it when I see it bug that most of the old timers who have been through much heartache have. I'm just simply not THAT excited about this year. I WILL be I'm sure once the season starts but I feel like the two big questions that will not be answered until the season starts is, did EJ get better and will Schwartz' defense be a top 10 defense. Everything on paper looks great though. Losing Byrd for nothing is the only thing that I believe bugged us I believe. But hey, s..t happens and it happened so, no time to dwell on that. My question to the old timers who have been through enough disappointment is, will I enjoy the games more by feeling the way I'm feeling now? Or will I get suckered in to "Billieve ing" once we win a couple games? Will losses on Sunday still hurt til Tuesday? Or will I be able to still have sex with my GF Sunday night after a crushing Sunday afternoon loss?
  16. Don't be too confident though. The NYC area and the 5 boroughs are crowded with real estate without a doubt. But people forget that long island is also a part of NYC and has more than enough land and space to build a new stadium without being overwhelmed with city traffic.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised, let's say if Trump DID become an owner of the Bills, if down the road sometime he claims the Bills ARE the only real N.Y. team and try and move them somewhere in the 5 boroughs of NYC. I myself wouldn't be upset since I live in Queens, N.Y. and it will be easier to go to a game. But on the flip side of that coin, the prices for tickets will go up and I wouldn't have a reason to leave the city since I don't take "vacations". Driving up to Buffalo is the closest thing to a vacation that I experience in the year. Trump has my vote only cuz he publicly said he wants to keep the Bills in Buffalo but politics is politics as we all know. Saying and doing are two different things. Keep the Bills in Buffalo! Cuz it would sound really weird to call our team the NY Bills. People have enough Bills as it is and may cause people more stress for thinking they have a new bill to pay.
  18. I'm all for this. I don't care how we look at this point. What's the worst that will happen if we lose to them twice? Become the laughing stock of the NFL? Ummmmm we've been there, done that and still doing it. Bring it on!
  19. I believe his name is Jairus Wynn but the Jairus is silent.
  20. Well, it was a trade so I can't say Mike Williams "wanted" to be here. But on the flip side of that coin, new environment for a "troubled" athlete can only be beneficial imo... Yes him and Marrone have a certain negative history, but I believe with the 1st big play he makes at the Ralph and hearing the Bills fans cheer, will make him feel right at home. Plus we have a pretty strong locker room chemistry or at least it seems that way from watching interviews of players. The absolute worst case scenario for us is that he sucks, or gets injured, or has another "issue" and we lose a 6th round pick. I can live with those odds especially if it actually benefits us and Williams becomes a contributor.
  21. I see you're a glass is half empty, why can't I have more in my glass, is that a hair in the glass?, kind of guy...
