I don't mind the 4 D-linemen route. I prefer Dareus and Kyle talking to each other on the line with Mario next to Kyle and Hughes/Lawson (I know he's not a DE but I like him there if need be) next to Dareus. Since Kiko is moving outside and Spikes is holding down the fort at MLB, we clearly need another starting OLB. Bradham isn't looking like he's going to be starter material at this point, so either we plug Lawson in as the other OLB and draft a DE who can rotate with Hughes and Mario, or we can draft a 1st round OLB and start the rookie and have Lawson rotate with Hughes and Mario. Or we can (and this is my wishful thinking) trade down in the draft and have a late 1st and two 2nd round picks and draft an offensive lineman, OLB and DE with the first three picks (hopefully all potential starters) and not in that order. The rest of the draft can be WR, TE, another O-Lineman, DT/NT to rotate with Dareus/Kyle/Branch and SS (also not in any particular order). That my friend, I believe, will shape us into a decent team until we figure out if EJ is the answer at QB or not. The reason I want to go 2 defensive players with the 1st three picks is because I believe that with an unstoppable D and an above average Offensive Line, our running game will set the tone and EJ wouldn't have to have more than 21 points on the scoreboard to win a game. Two rushing TDs and a passing TD should be enough to win a game. If you have no faith in EJ, then 2 rushing TDs and 3 Carpenter FGs should do it. Are people weary of our run game also? Ok fine. With a stout defense, one rushing TD and 4 Carpenter FGs might do the trick also.

Simple and understandable. At worst he's an upgrade (if you go by his stats to date) and at best he can fix his issues and become that much better. Good signing. If he brings what he's been doing in the NFL, he's an upgrade (which shows how bad we were at LG). I just hope we see him incline and get better. The LG position is still not a lock. I say we still draft a Guard in the draft.

I gave up on NFL Total Access two years ago. Never any Bills discussions and if it is, then it's real quick. NFL AM is repetitive and the only show that's aby good is Path to the draft (which is obviously about college players) and Playbook. Even Playbook on a couple of weeks that I remember, didn't talk about Bills at all which shocked me because they usually make their picks on every game.

Idk. I'm still not too comfortable with it. All we can do is, 1. Hope Spikes plays great 2. Doesn't have "issues" 3. FO signs him to multi year deal After reading what I wrote, it still would of made more sense to sign him to at least a 2 year deal. But hey, what's done is done.

I'm definitely with you on the trading down idea again for this draft. I put my trust in Whaley and co. for having IMO an outstanding free agency and great draft last year added with an unexpected and very pleasant free agency this year. Which is why they have my trust going into the draft this year. I'm a little on the fence about parting ways with Spiller though. I say on the fence cuz I really do understand both sides (reasons to keep him and reasons to part ways). So with that said, unless we can trade him for a player of equal value, I say we keep him. The draft should be a majority of offensive players being picked if you ask me. If we trade down and end up having 8 picks, I say 5 of them should be offense and 3 defense. If we have 7 picks, 4 should be offense and 3 defense.

It also occurred to me that I'm not too fond of this one year deal thing. I don't want to end up loving the guy and then he leaves.

Looking forward to that chopping wood move he does... I have a feeling he's going to regret saying anything bad about Buffalo after hearing the Bills Stampede at the Ralph when the D is on the field.

NICE! Love the fact that he's only 26 also. He's made a name for himself (negatively) but still, the guy can play ball and was a much needed position to fill... This draft is going to be VERY interesting.

The problem is not going to be the LG on passing situations this year IMO. It's going to be the same problem as it was last year. Can CJ be patient and wait for holes to open up instead of running outside.

If we somehow got Jared Allen (which I obviously highly doubt), would it be safe to say that all EJ would have to do is score 17 points a game to get a W?

Picture this my friend. It's 4th and 2. Defense is on the field. If we stop them we win, if we don't stop them they have a chance to gain more yards and mkve into FG position to win the game. Now picture Rivers at MLB or picture Spikes. Who would you prefer?

The O-Line is 5 players but really have to play as one... Colin Brown really made the guy to his left and the guy to his right look bad so I wouldn't say Glenn regressed at all... He looked good to me. We just need to fix the LG position and like I said, I know nothing of this new guy but if I were a betting man, I'd say he isn't worse than Colin Brown. Obviously I think we still draft a LG either in the 2nd or 3rd round. Defense looks good especially if we do somehow land Spikes. I say we draft heavy on offense n maybe draft 3 defensive players at most.

I'm going all in on this rumor. Already sent my buddy a text that Spikes is in town for a physical. I didn't even tell him it was a rumor. That way if it's true, I look VERY resourceful. The flip side is not pretty though.

I honestly don't know anything about him except that he's a former first rounder and that he didn't live up to his potential. What I AM pleased with is that he has a chip on his shoulder and Marrone apparently was the one gunning for him to come to Buffalo. This means Marrone will be having 1 on 1 sessions with him for sure. Plus he didn't hesitate to sign with us. Can't argue with anyone who wants to play for us at this point of our team win loss percentage. Plus I think it would be cool to have Glenn line up next to another "man of color" and then the 3 white boys next to them... Adds a little depth race wise lol. Now if only we could get Hairston back at RT but that doesn't seem promising.

As long as the loser Byrd doesn't go to an AFC East rival, I don't care where he goes. The reality is, we were preparing for his departure since last year. We shouldn't be too discouraged with him leaving because honestly, we did fine without him in the first 6 games and the run defense IIRC was better before he came back into the lineup. How much of that has to do with Byrd we will never know, but all I know is I'm happy with what we have in Aaron Williams (at least with Pettine at the realm) We don't even know what Schwartz is going to do with this defense yet. It just might turn out for the better who knows?

We don't need compensatory picks. We have T.J. Graham and he will be a superstar this year and so will Easley. Sorry for the sarcasm. Bills news sucks this time of year.

I think at halftime they should have a variety of deceased "icons" like, tupac, notorious b.i.g., james brown, elvis, aaliyah, etc., perform in hologram and somehow make it mesh together. Either that or just have the Miss Universe bikini pageant. The colder the stadium the better ...

Let's just get over this Lynch thing... Lynch played good sometimes great games in Seattle this year but he most definitely wasn't the reason why they won the Super Bowl. That defense was serious. I mean wow. The energy that they played with was a thing of beauty. No trash talking. No excessive celebration after one great play. Just smash you in your mouth football for 4 quarters. Not great one quarter or great one half of the game to only play soft in the end. Played HARD til the end. That's the team to learn from.

I for sure didn't say defense doesn't win championships...
