I read this a while back and had been meaning to post it. Here's a summary on a PVR-related blog about TIVO's software being modified to allow a broadcaster-set expiration flag on each broadcast. Yes, this means that, no matter what you set for expiration (never , for example), there is the potential for an over-ride that can get your shows deleted from your TIVO after a set period. I just recently got through a weekend of catching up on a season and a half of Battlestar Galactica, now I have to worry if I can afford to do that again...

No, really, with Roscoe in there, expect lots of 4 receiver sets, which will "open up" the holes in the O-Line even more due to the lack of TE's.

Actually the difference with Holcomb was that he found his check-off receivers, and while it didn't always equate to a ton of yardage it did usually result in something better than a sack would have...held up a little better under pressure as well...he did do some of the intangibles better. Of course it didn't even take two whole quarters for the fins to figure out the run/pass pass/run on 1st/2nd pattern anyway...I like it in that we scored enough to win but the dearth in scoring for most of the game should tell the coaching staff that we have other problems on O besides the QB...

I kinda mentioned O-Line already (interesting to note that Peters is officially a Tight End again, I guess they were tired of having him report as eligible). WRT QB, what we gained with Holcomb is a QB who will find his check-down receiver, and even if it's a screen that barely makes the line of scrimmage, it's better than taking a sack. And, well, you know my view on the true administration issue. Gotta replace the guy who can't pick (or keep) the guys who can pick good guys...and open up the Wallets so we can get a guaranteed pro level coach, like Denny Green or Dom Capers or Norv Turner. You know, someone who has "been there," that will be guaranteed to bring the team a Super Bowl.

If you were really bringing the tough love, you wouldn't be content with replacing TD. After all, if Ralph thinks so highly of him, what's to say, even if he does replace TD, that he would pick someone good? It all starts at the top!
