potentially good news for the Bills
Dante replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is how you get your post count up to 18000 by carrying on a full conversation with yourself? -
Jax and Houston are losses for sure. After todays win I have upgraded the bills from utterly pathetic too pretty bad. Because of this they have a chance to beat Carolina and Tennessee. I'm worried about the Titans because they have the potential to turn it around.

lol everyone drink the poisoned Genessee!

I started a thread that got deleted about how this game would be lost(blown). 1.Offensive turnover. 2.Special teams screw up. 3.Clock mismanagement.4. Coaching not to lose. I picked #1. Dumb pick on my part. Fitz is a way better qb and Jackson is a better rb than Dick is a coach. Way better odds that numb nuts would screw it up.

I guess but I still have to play to win. I think our prize money is about$ 1400

Hey I picked 14th. Was running out of options. It was coming down to him or Brees in the draft and Drew was the one I wanted just because I didn't want to have to cheer for Brady. But someone picked him before me. What are you going to do? I knew the Bills weren't going to be competitive this season so its not like cheering for Brady really mattered or makes me conflicted. Bills aren't really relevant.
-
I'm in the unfortunate position of having to cheer for Brady since he is on my fantasy team. Needless to say I'm liking him today. If he were to go down today my team would be in trouble.

I guess he should say, "Some people will use any excuse to riot." -

If Rush was buying our Bills instead of the Rams...
Dante replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Post is an oasis of reason in a PC insane society. What is much more scary than Rush owning a team is the PC facists speaking out against Rush's basic rights. Free speech and the pursuit of happiness. Rush hasn't done anything to anyone on this board or anywhere else for that matter. He's a radio commentator. STOP. Thats all. He has been lucky/skilled/talented enough to make a good living at it. Good for him. At least he makes his own way in the world. And if things are so ****ty out there, how come they have so much time and energy to devote to such a non issue as this? Obviously people don't have it tough enough if Rush's possible purchase of the Rams is a major problem to them. -
CALLING IT NOW: ANOTHER AVERAGE BILLS SEASON (EVER, WOW)

no murra. Just no. -
But its even worse Nervous. Bills aren't even relevant enough to be put on a futility list! Bills are not in anyones conscious thought! This it the ultimate bottom.

The absolute best the Bills could do this year is 4-12. That would mean we would have to beat KC, Carolina and Tennessee. Teams that have crap records like us. I can't see them sweeping all three. I don't think they can beat any of them to be honest but I figure they will manage to steal a victory against one of them. Maybe Carolina or KC. Final record 2-14. Then, we can draft the best CB or FS ever!!!! -
I remember that SD game like it was yesterday. The general consensus was that the Bills were not in the same league as the Chargers IIRC. I remember that pass too Jefferson and it ranks right up there among the greatest of catastrophic heartbreaking moments in Bills history. It hurt again to watch it.

Devlin, Mckenzie, Dobler. An offensive line? Whooda thunk something like that would have lead too success? What a concept

I agree. I think that owning a NFL team is a status/ego thing. I'm not a Rush basher like a lot here. I don't think he wants it as some sort of diabolical plan to obtain media time. Ridiculous. I think it probably just a dream/fantasy thing, like many, to own a NFL team. I mean, look at all the armchair gms we have on this board. -
Nice finded Sriracha sauce a while ago. Love your avatar!

The NFL product as a whole- where do you rank it?
Dante replied to LongLiveRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the end of the day, it has to be entertaining. Last week, after watching the elite play of the Bills vs Browns, sat down to watch some of the players from my fantasy team go in the second round of games(Barber, Brady, Houchmenzada etc). I was a little bored from the previous game but I just couldn't take it anymore. Commercial after commercial. TO's, replay reviews. Went downstairs to have a nap, that was more intriguing. I'm one of those guys in his 40s. For me, quality of football teams have gone down with out a doubt. Salary caps and free agency have seen to that. I think you have parity now at the expense of real quality teams. No team is excellent. Funny, lots of pathetic teams though. I think its due to the kind of monopolized socialism the NFL has going on. -

Quality: Decline. Watered down Entertainment Value: Big decline. Games so chopped up by commercials, replay reviews and so on game is becoming mind numbing to watch. I really don't know how the players do it. Make a big play. Get the momentum. And get the life sucked out of you by 5 minuted commercial breaks. -
Sounds like your rooming with a bunch of self centered !@#$s. It also sounds like you have gone above and beyond trying to make the situation work. Always easy to give advice when on the outside but it seems like to me your only option is to play hardball. Drive them no where. If they want to drive tell them buy their own car. By only your own stuff(beer, food etc). Make no deals or bartering. Just pay your share of the rent and thats it! If your that bad of a guy after words let them buy you out of the lease and you can be on your way. I've had a couple room mates and one live in nephew and it never seems to work out. Couldn't wait to get out of any of those situations. The more you give the more its taken for granted.

This is great. How much work to duplicate these? I especially like the Stokley one. http://yepyep.gibbs12.com/2009/10/classic-...ays-tecmo-ized/

I don't think this matters. Ralph has already made his money beyond his wildest dreams with this franchise. NFL is such a monopoly and false competition it's laughable to think that he would be worried about losing money. And if he did , it would probably be a good write off for him. Thats why there is no motivation to win in the NFL, revenue sharing, huge tv contracts. It's almost a socialist kind of setup. They should make the NFL like euro soccer. A second tier of teams that suck and they can play for a minor championship. Ralph sucks as a owner and it doesn't matter. He gets rich no matter what. Not that I have a problem with that business wise. Hell, if you can get away with it. I just wonder when guilt, pride and dignity kick in with this guy.
