I guess punting for the Jets is off the table now. RIP PeeWee!

It was purposely built that way. Because of the protests and campus turbulence of the 1960s & early '70s. I think the University President had a secret elevator to their office. ?? Everything was purposely planned with the brutalist design. Anyway... In recent years that design is being wiped away for more inclusive designs... Like adding a student union, etc... BTW... BA, '90.

Matt Araiza is Suing Woman who Falsely Accused him
ExiledInIllinois replied to wppete's topic in Off the Wall
Still arguing about this? Children, if you're paying attention, does this teach you to make better choices than Mr.Araiza did? People will wield power over you when you associate with the wrong crowd. Have a nice life "PuntGod." -
To Have, and To Have Not: a Midwestern Tale
ExiledInIllinois replied to Beck Water's topic in Off the Wall
Yup! Early March '76 was ice storm. I remember that better than Blizzard. I was only 8 in '76. I remember '78. We were stuck in school bus... BUT Blizzard is a distant 3rd. Probably because basement was on verge of flooding in '76... -

Can you see the post office becoming extinct?
ExiledInIllinois replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
And if it can't be self-sustaining, then we as tax payers should be forced to make it self-sustaining. The PO is the cornerstone of free society. Like somethings... 😉😉... It's inherently governmental. You can't get rid of it and let the other two non-governmental companies be the only show in town. I think you missed my post above about NOT becoming a society to the elites. The USPS serves a public check to the other big two. All a fruitless effort... It ain't going anywhere being it's the cornerstone of society. -

The PO is funded only by price of stamps. NOT your tax dollars. A first class letter to my neighbor OR Point Barrow, Alaska cost the same. Of course it's gonna lose money. Should a letter to Alaska from the Lower 48 cost $40? Once again... You have roads because of the Post Office. -

No. It's constitutionally mandate. The roads you drive on are basically free because of the P.O. It's the first thing we do when we nation build. Build a P.O. Unless you want to live in an elitist world... Libraries and Post Office aren't going anywhere. They are the top 2 institutions in a free society. -
Great "WaterPark" in Montpelier too! I hear the flume is a heck of a ride! 😉😜 Too soon???

I don't think it's the leaders... It's the failure of meritocracy and the fraud that it is. The well off familyies are doing okay through the generations. They always have The leisure class aren't leaving at younger ages like they left generations ago... They are staying on and getting their kids set up. FWIW... Another name for Millennial is "Echo Boomer" because they are echoing their Boomer parents

Not really. NYS changed quickly, even before the international slave trade was abolished. The Northwest Ordinance as one of the first acts of Congress, reaffirmed from The Articles, 1787... Made the Northwest forever free in 1789. Maybe you are thinking about the Army of Virginia capturing African Americans at Gettysburg and sending them into slavery in The South? Pennsylvania was always free.

Vermonters, FWIW, are in the top (#12) that drive the most in the United States, you'd think they'd be good at it! https://stacker.com/business-economy/states-where-people-drive-most New York State #50. NYS residents drive the least. More than 1/2 the population lives in NYC. I am calling BS on knowing rules, you must be getting them confused with an Upstater from Buffalo or Rochester... They actually drive there. 😏 -
The guy is accused of homicide, kidnapping, burglary, and setting his inlaw's vehicle on fire🔥... How can you be rooting for him??? He ain't Clyde of "Bonnie & Clyde" fame busting into a bank and burning your mortgage papers! LoL... 😳
