  1. The coaching staff seems willing to make changes in season to any under performers, i.e. Legursky or Moorman as an example, so I'm hopeful they give Easley his shot after seeing Hogan on film. Not sure switching #5 and #6 receivers will make too much of a difference with Stevie and Goodwin coming back, but it'd be nice to see what he can do when the situation calls for it.
  2. The coaching staff has shown a willingness to make roster adjustments for under performers this season, so hopefully a move is made on the depth chart soon for Easley. Not sure it matters much with Stevie coming back and Goodwin back in the lineup and TJ making some plays.
  3. Yes, I saw that on some of those Gresham blocks as well. The announcers even commented on one play the great block by Gresham. But that is holding. Just didn't get called.
  4. Young was already "kicked" to the curb. But there are still posters who seriously want Jamarcus Russell. Seriously, no disclaimers, that is exactly what was said.
  5. Almost - some still want to kick the tires on Jamarcus Russell.
  6. "Per PFF, Gilmore rated out as the 79th best cornerback in the NFL in 2012." Cue the PFF sucks chorus....your serve, Pre-Snap Read's Cian Fahey.
  7. I actually like Gilmore, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned with some of the things I have seen out of him. I'm not at the point where I think he is as good as some others think, but I could and hope I do get there.
  8. I think the exact opposite is at play sometimes - people can't bear the thought of whiffing on another top 10 pick so they will not/cannot admit he has looked downright awful out there at times. I could care less where he was picked. Based on draft position alone we should have the best secondary around in McKelvin and Gilmore, but we don't.
  9. So do you think he played good today? How about those "closer to the game"? I think this guy has been burned more than you realize or care to admit.
  10. Yeah, I've seen enough of Gilmore too to know he is not one of the "best in the league". No I'm not changing my opinion, which is based on what I see, not what I wish for since he was drafted so high. He still has the chance as a 2nd year player to develop some more consistency in his game, but I'm not optimistic.
  11. I'm afraid we have another Ronnie Jones situation on our hands. BTW, Crossman wasn't exactly highly regarded coming from Detroit.
  12. Classic! Sorry guy, Gilmore is no shut down corner. Pre-season, injury - keep 'em coming.
  13. Not snarky at all. Go back and watch his performance against the Redskins. If you can still say he was having a GREAT pre-season, then we won't likely agree on CB analysis. Hint: he was worse than Rogers in that game. Watch the games and come to your own conclusion. Don't blindly follow the crowd.
  14. Agree on Hogan. He has looked horrible on the admittedly few opportunities he's had. Can't understand why they don't give Easley a chance. I don't know - last game we saw Gilmore he was beaten like a rented mule by a QB who is not even in the league right now.
  15. That's what they'll have to do if they really want him. Minny reports their coach and GM have spoken with Freeman, and supposedly giving him the recruiting pitch. Can Whaley/Marrone out recruit them? Do they want to?
