  1. Have they made a decision yet? No speculation based on who got how many snaps this week, just flat out, has a starter been named yet?
  2. Yeah, the reason was a long term development project. If you trust the coaches, funny how Marrone has gone to great lengths to avoid putting Tuel anywhere near the field again this year. Think about it.
  3. Love the Tuel/Brady references! Hilarious!
  4. Good Lord, Tuel is a horror show. What will the excuse be after he craps the bed this time around? Love the posters who think getting a week of snaps will turn him into a pro bowler. Funny how Marrone has gone to great lengths to try to avoid putting him anywhere near the field again, but I guess he's out of options.
  5. Tuel is a long term development project. He has potential, but he is simply not ready. If Lewis can't go or has to leave the game, it would not surprise me at all to see Flynn if he has picked up enough of the playbook.
  6. That's a reasonable conclusion to draw assuming the rumor.
  7. Because it is clear to me that he needs seasoning and is not ready this year. I think the coaches feel the same the way they immediately elevated Thad off the practice squad to starter after the Cleveland game, and brought in Dixon and Flynn as well. Flynn has at least been around the NFL for awhile. I'd like to see him in this situation before just dismissing outright as sucking. It helps better evaluate the backup position moving forward imho.
  8. I'd like to see Flynn with this system, these coaches, and these teammates before dismissing him as sucking. We already know how Tuel looked - he's not ready, week of snaps or not.
  9. I hope the pecking order for this week is Thad/Flynn/Dixon/Tuel. I would like to see how Flynn looks with this system, these coaches, and these teammates before we just dismiss him as sucking.
  10. I'm not worried about it. I think this is a self perpetuated worry. While the defense is far and away better to watch than last year, their overall rankings still in the bottom third of the league. I don't see other teams fighting each other to get at him, at least not this year.
  11. Exactly. If he's healed and ready, then put him in. There's always a risk to getting injured whether he waits an extra week or not.
  12. I'd like to see Flynn promoted to backup this week, and if he sees action that'd be fine. I'd like to see what we have in live action between Thad/Flynn by the time EJ comes back.
  13. Agree. Despite the record I am enjoying the season.
  14. Isn't Stevie currently our slot receiver? That's why we see Hogan out there as a backup instead of Easley, because Marcus is strictly an outside guy. I would like a bigger outside receiver than Graham and Goodwin though. The loss of Carrington has hurt us, if we can keep him he may do.
  15. No kidding. Stevie doesn't make the top 10 list of things to complain about today.
  16. Yes, and besides, his backup is Hogan. Is that really preferable?!
  17. Agree. He deserves the same adoration afforded Freddy last week.
  18. Can we move this over to the player I was most wrong about thread?
  19. To answer your question, I believe you're mistaken and it was Searcy's hand that actually knocked the ball down. Just re-watched it on slo-mo frame by frame replay in HD and Gilmore's "club" is behind and above the ball when it changes direction towards the ground. I'm not being disingenuous, he was certainly right there, but it was not his club that knocked it down. No big deal though, if he becomes the shut down corner some think he is then I will happily post in the player I was most wrong about thread. His outing against Brees would be a nice place to display it.
  20. Stop stalking me. Did you see him get caught peeking (and biting) while getting burnt by Wallace in the 2 minute drill? That was a pretty costly mistake, again.
