What I have noticed is that he seems to not set the edge well. I do not know if that is because of lack of experience or being out of position or what. I hope that this does not continue.
Some of the guys on this board talk about Schwartz as if we will be celebrating his birthday on December 25. If he is that good and Rex's defense is about the same (even with all of the injuries, suspension, and street free agents as safety), I suppose Rex is not so bad.
Again, I will stand with Shady, Wood, Incognito et al (who are standing with Rex) while you, some of the guys on this board, and TBN storm the Bastille with your pitchforks.
Team leader Eric Wood on Rex Ryan:
"I'm a Rex guy. I like Rex a lot. I like him as a coach. I think he's a great leader," Wood said. "I know it doesn't feel like it all the time, but we're so freaking close."

They stopped the Raiders for almost three quarters on the road. To me, that showed it can be done.
At some point, players have to tackle. Both the Raiders and Steelers games are good examples of this. It also would help if we did not have street free agents as safeties or if Ron Darby had played in the Raider game or if Kyle Williams had played in the Steeler game.
Augie, I appreciate that. I really do.
Go Bills!
A bit of an overstatement don't you think.
We played toe to toe with the Seahawks until the final whistle.
We played the Raiders very tough for almost three quarters on the road. They may be the toughest team in the AFC. The wheels came off, but we showed we can play with them.
We lost to the Dolphins by 3 on the road in a game that we should have won.
I am disappointed in the season, but I am trying to see the forest from the trees.
If it were pretty much any coach (Rex or fill in the blank), I do not think that it is justified to fire a guy after just two seasons - especially under the circumstances. I also think it will be especially self defeating if you want to replace the guy with any quality coach in demand.
Just my two cents.
I guess we can agree to disagree.
P.S. As I posted in another thread, Rex dinosaur defense is averaging about the same yards against as Schwartzy's modern 21st century defense.
Indeed they are.
To think otherwise is foolish.
Bucky and Sully have had an ax to grind with the Pegulas for some time and Vic has been trying to justify his report from before the season even started (that was discredited by Ty Dunne who then left for greener pastures).
They got beat. They did not give up, but they got beat.
I listened to Shady's post game press conference. He is a lot more convincing than you and your fellow crusaders.
