  1. Last year was a bit of a mirage. I fear that this year is going to be real . . . real depressing unless they can sort out the offensive line and get some kind of pass rush. I feel bad for whoever the QB is going to be and hope that the fans and media will not be so quick to throw our QBs under the bus given the horrible offensive line that we have managed to put together.
  2. Both the defense and the offensive line better get a whole lot better or it is going to be a very long and painful year (especially for our QBs).
  3. The Athletic was launched in 2016. It is not surprising that this is where some of the better writers from TBN decided to go. Having said that, I am not suggesting that the existence of the Athletic caused Bucky and Sully to leave. Nevertheless, TBN realized that they needed to up their game. Sully could have stayed but he could not just write the same article over and over and over again from his basement. The point of my post is that the existence of the Athletic has caused TBN to improve. I think that it has. I also think that TBN is better without Bucky and Sully than it was with them.
  4. I think that the Athletic has forced the Buffalo News to improve its game. Addition by subtraction is an overused phrase that is nonsensical at times, but, if it ever did apply, it applies to the "subtraction" of Bucky and Sully. TBN is better for it. I also noticed that their "subtraction" seems to have caused Harrington to actually be much better both in print and on Twitter. I also subscribed to the Athletic for the year during their sale. So far, I really like it. I am able to follow a wide variety of sports including my favorite teams (and the writing is typically very good): Bills Sabres Arsenal University of Miami football
  5. I agree. My Dad died in 1986, and there is not a day that goes by that I do not miss him . . . a lot.
  6. PFT seemed to bury the lead by not tweeting that it was at his father's funeral. I have no idea what happened, but I do know that losing your dad is raw and very emotional. It was for me. Still is.
  7. I really, really hope that the line gives the kid some protection . . . Peterman too for that matter.
  8. It is at the very beginning. Here is the link: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/sean-mcdermott-time-to-move-forward It begins about the 52 second mark. 1) Sal asked what appears to be a fairly standard question; 2) McCoach gave him a really dirty look; 3) Sal for some reason said that he is sorry; 4) McCoach said next question; 5) McCoach gave him another dirty look and shook his head while taking the next question. The whole thing is odd . . . especially since Sal (perhaps because he is paid by the Bills as a sideline reporter for the radio broadcasts) seems to make sure to always paint McBeane in a favorable light. The reaction seemed gratuitous and odd.
  9. What the hell was that all about?!?! Yikes is right. McCoach also should realize that Sal . . . (how should I say this) . . . paints McCoach and Beane in the most favorable light compared to just about everyone else in the media. It is beyond me why McCoach would react to Sal like that. He seemed like a bit of a prick the way he reacted.
  10. Our offensive line is going to make any of our QBs look flustered . . . especially when the games start to count. Our supposed best lineman got manhandled by Myles Garrett. I feel bad for our QBs and Shady.
  11. I gave up my season tickets that we had for decades for a variety of reasons. I had been an out-of-town season ticket holder after moving to Miami. My goal was merely to break even for the games that I could not attend. For the first time ever, I could not break even last year. I could not sell the tickets to the freaking home opener for the lowest amount that one could list them for with the NFL Ticket Exchange (even though my tickets were in the lower bowl on the 45 yard line). That was a complete shock. Opening game typically had been a big game on the resell market when I could not attend. Last year was a tough year on the resell market. You also will recall that tickets for the Colts game were going for $6.00. In my wildest dreams, I never thought that I would give up the tickets. Nevertheless, I just could not see myself continuing to take the risk of not even being able to break even given what happened last year.
  12. The offensive line is a huge question mark. Whoever is our starting QB, I hope the line can protect him and open up holes for Shady. Otherwise, it is going to be a long and depressing season.
  13. Dion Dawkins did not do AJ any favors on that play.
  14. Let me get this straight. You think that McCoy beats his son and both he and the kid's mom are covering it up. Hmm.
  15. At one time, she was even claiming that Shady beat his son . . . that is until his son's mother emphatically said that NEVER happened. I wonder if she dropped that allegation in this lawsuit.
  16. I suppose that it would be easy to confirm: 1) whether Shady said that to the police (e.g., was it in a police report? did he sign the statement to the police?); 2) did a jeweler lend the jewelry?
  17. Is that the excuse? If it is, it is pretty lame. What is the stick figure for a lame excuse after the fact that is not funny or for someone who goes out of his way to personally attack others or who has no sense of humor? I presume that you know what gratuitous means but maybe I am expecting too much. You seem to go out of your way to personally and unnecessarily attack others. That appears to be your thing. You must be an absolute joy to be around. God bless.
  18. This is gratuitous. There is no reason to personally attack a fellow member of the board in such a way.
  19. Yes. Added benefit, Murph's show can again replay his call: "You can't stop CJ Spiller!"
  20. This again is where you are arguing semantics. I have to go home. Carry on with yourself. You truly are arguing just to be disagreeable. God bless. Right. That has happened. Thanks for admitting this.
  21. Are you trying to argue that she has 60 days to live there after the judge rules against her (if she has not already moved out)?
  22. Wait a minute! There are some here who have spent hours arguing that she had the right to live there. I guess she even realized that she had to move out. Correct.
  23. Exactly. Then why are you picking a fight with me? Just to be disagreeable?
  24. I really hope that you are not an attorney. You are bound to have Rule 11 (or the state equivalent) sanctions awarded against you because you think that delay tactics are somehow the same as an underlying right. Oh brother. No. And it is not coming home.
  25. I quoted the Georgia statutes. You can read (I hope). She was a tenant at will - at the will of Shady. Georgia law gives her 60 days to move out. The tenancy at will ended. She has overstayed the 60 days. How much would you like to bet that the judge finds that she has to move out or that she moves out before the hearing once she figures out that she cannot delay it any longer? Do you really think that the judge is going to find that she has the right to stay there? All she is doing is delaying the inevitable ruling against her.
