  1. Bingo I guess everyone has an evil twin.
  2. Which former Bill does Zacarias Moussaoui look like? ZACARIAS MOUSSAOUI
  3. Kirwan is correct. Jim Kelly is a better QB.
  4. That was basically my point. See my original post to start the thread. Yet, even still, there was no change of possession.
  5. You have to give Mangini credit for even knowing about "Talking Proud" and getting a copy of it. Personally, I would have preferred "Misty Mountain Hop" or the "Immigrant Song." Actually, I think that the "Immigrant Song" would be a perfect song for the Bills to play at home games to get the crowd and team revved up. The lyrics would seem to apply:
  6. Rich seemed to go and on and on about that call. You are right about that.
  7. That play happened right in front of me (I was at the game). One of the interesting things about the play was that NEITHER the Bills nor the Dolphins picked up or recovered the ball after the "fumble." If the play had been reversed, I do not see how they could have given the ball to the Dolphins given that there was never a change of possession. You are absolutely correct about how I would feel if the shoe were on the other foot. I would have been pissed. Yet, as I told the Dolphins fans who were with me, the Dolphins never recovered the ball after the "fumble." They have no one but themselves to blame because nothing could have changed.
  8. One of the best segments on the NFL Network is with Mike Pereira, the vice-president of officiating. I think that Pereira does a very good job of directly addressing the previous week's controversial calls as well as explaining the rules. On the way home last night, I was listening to the NFL Network on Sirius, which carries some of the NFL Network's television programs. I heard Mike Pereira's explanation for the whistle that occured on that play. According to Pereira, the reason for the quick whistle was that one of the Dolphin defenders had JP within his grasp and control while another defender was bearing down on him. Given that combination (QB, grasp and control, and another defender bearing down on the QB), the refs are instructed to blow the whistle. That is why, even though there was a "fumble," the whistle was correct and the play was not reviewable. In any event, I thought that some of you may be interested in how this worked in the event you did not see or hear the official explanation.
  9. It must have been Marco Materazzi. Seriously, I would be very disappointed if one of our guys did this. It is total BS for a player to make a comment about what Coles went through.
  10. I am excited. It is always great to beat the hated Dolphins. Nevertheless, our schedule is looking tougher and tougher. For example, that Jacksonville game looks a hell of a lot more difficult now than it did a couple of weeks ago. This schedule is going to be a real test for the Bills. We are going to find out just how good this team is. Losing to the Pats (in NE) and beating the Dolphins in Miami (especially on an extremely hot September day) is a good start. If we can get our passing attack going and are able to better job blocking and stopping the run, I am optimistic. If not, it is going to be tough.
  11. This really is an argument about what looks less bad. Our new unis are pretty bad compared to the great ones that we used to have.
  12. Believe me, it was hot as hell at the game on Sunday.
  13. I am farther south in Pinecrest.
  14. I also am in South Florida. Which department are you with?
  15. Thanks for stopping by. At least we can all agree that we hate the friggen Dolphins.
  16. My bad on the round. McGee was still a steal in the fourth round. As for Roscoe, I think that he is going to do a lot of great things for this team.
  17. I was at that game a few years ago when we were all singing "Let it snow." That was a lot of fun.
  18. I love how we turned the tables on them. I am really proud of the Bills' performance yesterday.
  19. Over the past year, a lot of people have been overly critical of Roscoe (I take it because he was picked in the second round). Roscoe did not make the pick. That is why I always wondered why some people seemed to have a crusade against him personally. Roscoe is turning out to be a very exciting weapon for this team -- just as he was at UM. We can debate whether he should have been taken in the second round (I presume that the debate over whether we should have taken Chris Henry instead is over). Our view of where he should have been taken probably will change over time. Given that Terrence McGee has been mentioned, he turned out to be a steal in the fifth round. He is one of the most important players on this team right now. The fact is that Roscoe is on our team. We may as well appreciate his talents. As DJ said, he is a special player. He is the kind of player who can change a game with one play. I also am one of those people who believes that average drive starts in a game is a very important indicator of who is going to win. Just as BM pinned the Dolphins down in their end, Roscoe gave our offense a boost with his returns. Further, that TD that was called back was a thing of beauty. When we go three or more wide and need a first down or a TD, Roscoe is going to be very difficult to cover. I just hope that our offensive line can give JP enough time so that we can take advantage of the speed we have at the wide receiver position.
  20. I actually think that he is correct. He said that last year as well when the Dolphin fans were booing their QBs. Being at the game yesterday, I thought that it was great for the Bills to hear the Dolphins crowd boo them. On the other hand, I do not think that I have ever booed the Bills no matter how badly they have played and pissed I may have been at the time.
  21. I do not know if this has been specifically mentioned in any posts (or what was said during the telecast), but it was hot as hell at the stadium yesterday. They showed the "feels like" temp at 98 degrees on the big screen. It was every bit of that. I cannot imagine playing at the level in that heat. Saban even said that they went to the no huddle to take advantage of the heat. Nevertheless, the Bills did not wilt. They played hard the entire game. The Dolphins used to play all of their September home games at 4:00 p.m. Sometime in the past 10 years or so, they started scheduling 1:00 p.m. home games to try to take advantage of the heat. It obviously did not work yesterday. I do think, however, that the NFL is stupid to schedule 1:00 p.m. games in that heat. One day, one of those huge 300 + pound linemen is going to keel over.
  22. Man, I really wish that I could be there for the home opener. It is going to be great. I really think that the young players are going to get a kick out of the atmosphere -- especially for the home opener.
  23. UB has a lot of guts putting Auburn on the schedule. My hats off to them. If they can keep it within the spread, that would be an accomplishment. I just hope that this game gives the program some positive exposure.
  24. I would have loved that. I guess it was not all that difficult to incorporate the classic logo.
