  1. Yes, absolutely. Do you realize what he had to do to come back from that injury?Did you read his comments from last week? Do you know what he did with the ball that he carried for his first TD? [Hint: He did not keep it as I would have and most people would have] Did you see his expression on the sideline during the Bills loss to the Dolphins at the end of the game last year? The problem with this team is not that we have too many players from UM. Your comment regarding UM reveals your real motivation behind your post.
  2. . . . does anyone remember the last time the Bills or Sabres were the beneficiaries of truly bad calls in their favor? The most outrageous were the no goal followed by the Flyers' "goal" through the net and the home run throw up. I doubt that refs go into games thinking how they can screw over Buffalo teams. Yet, it does seem like we have gotten well more than our fair share of blown calls. To paraphase Cream's song Born Under a Bad Sign: "If Buffalo did not have bad luck, we would not have any luck at all." Unfortunately, that applies to WNY as well.
  3. Controlling the line of scrimmage.
  4. Keep in mind that the spread is based in large measure by perception. There are still plenty of people (read gamblers) who think that the Dolphins are a Super Bowl team. I would not worry to much on the spread -- unless of course, you are planning on putting some money on the game in Vegas.
  5. Pressure up the middle kills. You are exactly correct. That is why I thought that the Bills should have kept Sam Adams. I realize that I probably am in the minority, but I think that the guy has the quicks to play this defense and also clog the middle.
  6. "We lost."
  7. Agreed. Reed had a good game.
  8. There is no doubt that the Pats typically play "smart" football. Nevertheless, the reason they beat us is that they dominated us at the point of attack on both sides of the ball. Did you also notice who made the key play for the Pats on fourth and one and where he went to school. The sooner our o-line and d-line can dominate the line of scrimmage, the sooner we are going to contend for the Super Bowl.
  9. I went to Cornell. Even still, I prefer WM in our backfield.
  10. Be real. Many of you guys have made fun of the way he speaks. The guy grew up in the hood. McGee, as I recall, is an army brat. You called him a moron. That is pretty outrageous. If he had been a moron, he would not have had the insurance. I also find it very humorous how brave some of you guys are behind your computers. It would be interesting to see what would happen if you called WM a moron to his face -- especially if you did it where he grew up. As I posted earlier, the guy is not a NASA scientist. Yet, he is not what you are making him out to be.
  11. I thought that my post was pretty positive about JP. You may want to try reading it again.
  12. Except for the unblocked back side line backer and everyone else on the defensive line who had not been pushed back one inch.
  13. All in all, JP played a pretty darn good game under hostile conditions on the road against the best team in the league over the past 5 years. Do I wish he got rid of the ball? Yes. Yet, he was trying to make a play. For JP's sake, I am happy his name is not Willis. Otherwise, there would be people on this board who would be trying to trash him for that.
  14. Why? Because he did not have the benefit of growing up in white middle class suburbia like I did (and presume you did)? I noticed that you did not address the insurance that he got. I do like your avatar though.
  15. They waited and got what they wanted.
  16. I was going to guess either OSU, PSU, or ND. I also like PSU and Joe Pa. I also am a season ticket holder for the Canes. Some of you guys are way off base about the Canes.
  17. The guy is "stupid"? He was smart enough to go out and get a multi-million dollar insurance policy before the Fiesta Bowl. After he got hurt and I heard about that, I thought that was pretty smart. I am not saying that he should work for NASA, but he is about the same as most professional football players. Moreover, as with a large segment of professional athletes, he did not grow up in white middle class suburbia. With the tools that he has, WM has gotten farther faster from where he started than probably just abouot anyone on this board.
  18. Exactly. You are 100% correct.
  19. Which college football team do you support????
  20. There have been people on this board who have been trashing WM for BS since he has been with the Bills. In fact, during this past off season, the usual suspects posted almost daily trash Willis posts. This got old a long time ago. As for the fourth in one, it really ended up being a fourth and three after Fowler got knocked two yards back into the back field. Rather than plunging straight ahead between the center and right guard (as I think the play was ideally designed to go), WM had to move laterally to his right to have any chance at all before turning it up field. No one blocked the back side linebacker, and I did not see one of our guys knock any of their guys back at all. Notwithstanding that, WM initially looked like he made the first (as the announcers said), but the refs marked it back. It is questionable whether his knee touched the ground before he got the first down.
  21. Is it sold out?
  22. Are you going to the game?
  23. Oh brother. Let's start another post trashing WM!?! Some of you guys really need to learn about offensive line play.
  24. I have not heard what he said, but when you watch that play, he sure as **** knew where he had to be for the first down and tried to dive to get the first down.
  25. Sadly, they are not. There are people on this board who are just biased against WM and UM. These are the same people who have no idea why the fourth and one play failed. [For that, you can read my post about how Wilfork knocked Melvin Fowler two yards back into our backfield and blew up the play. The same guys who are abusing WM about that play have not even mentioned the real reason why it failed. I wish these guys would compare the holes that the Pats o-line was opening for their RBs to what our line was doing (or more appropriately - not doing).
