  1. The irony is that you are the one with the avatar that has the gun locked and loaded.
  2. 45 - We have very little choice but to let him prove himself THIS year. If he proves that he should be the starter - great. If not, get someone else in here to compete with him for the starting job next year.
  3. Let me remind you -- Bryan Pata was the one that was shot and killed.
  4. That is truly offensive. The poor kid gets shot and killed, and you take a shot at UM and, by implication, Bryan Pata.
  5. So true . . . on both sides of the aisle.
  6. After some consideration, I think that the best thing that could happen for Republicans going into the 2008 presidential election would be for the Democrats to take control of the House. As it stands now, the Republicans control all three branches of government. If the Dems take control of the house, it will be easier to remind the voters what Democrats are like when they govern. Of course, this will depend on whether a traditional Republican gets the nomination and can distance himself from Iraq. Interestingly, the administration has tried to do all it can do to focus the electorate on these traditional Republican issues in this election cycle -- realizing that if the election is about Iraq, it is not a winning issue. The problem is that this administration forgot what the traditional conservative agenda is. There is an interesting piece in the American Conservative magazine that you may want to read. American Conservative Magazine: Just say "no" to Bush
  7. My guess is that the Dems take the house and the Republicans hold on to the Senate. In any event, I think that it is going to be close. I heard an interesting comment yesterday: Some polls supposedly suggest that a lot of voters want to vote against Bush (by voting against the particular Republican candidate) but do not know whether they can bring themselves to vote for the Democrat. If that is true, it should make for an interesting day.
  8. It was one year ago . . . . How quickly time flies.
  9. Very funny.
  10. You remind me of the supposed Bills fans who stood up and cheered when RJ got hurt. That is when I stopped believing that we had the best fans in the league.
  11. Try again: Bruised rib
  12. More from DJ on the injury: Gee, what a kitty WM would be if he decided not to risk puncturing his lung. You guys are unbelievable.
  13. If you are saying that WM has not played through pain, you are being ridiculous. WM has played through pain. Further, as I recall, TH left the game in which he got hurt. Also, as I recall, TH had a bruised rib -- as opposed to a broken rib.
  14. They also said that they would not know the extent of his injury until today -- according to the post above and Chris Brown's blog.
  15. Very funny as well as accurate.
  16. Have you ever played running back with cracked or broken ribs? If a player has cracked or broken ribs, don't you think that it would be wise to get an x-ray done and find out what the extent of the injury is? According to your own post, the Bills are not going to find out the extent of his injury until today. By the way, I love the way some of you keyboard jockies (who probably have never played the game) love to call out some players as soft. Very funny. Anyone that came back from the injury that WM came back from is anything but soft.
  17. I have been working buddy. A-Train had a great game. I know that you do not want to hear this, but Willis only had four friggen carries before he got hurt. He and A-Train had the exact same rushing average after they each carried the ball four times. It is nice to be able to have two very capable backs. I really do not undertand why some of you guys go way out of your way to trash WM. I have my theories. By the way, if there was any doubt about whether WM is the better back, wouldn't you think that DJ would have started A-Train from the beginning of the season given that DJ drafted him in the first round in Chicago. Instead, DJ has been effusive in his praise for WM.
  18. You are correct. As I recall, he also was congratulating one of the players as he was coming off the field.
  19. Did anyone else notice that one of the guys on the sidelines was wearing a Sabres baseball cap?
  20. We may as well find out what this team can do against what is one of the best teams in the NFL. We failed our prevous test against Chicago. Yet, if Miami can beat the Bears in Chicago, there is hope for us.
  21. My seats are on the 45 yard line, row 23. I cannot believe some of the sh*t I hear and see around me. We used to be in what is now the club section. We never had a problem there. When they converted it to the club (and substantially increased the cost), I could not justify paying all that money given that I live in Miami and cannot get to all of the games. I am sure our present location is better than the areas you mention, but it still can be too much for my four year old son.
  22. I don't buy that he went out of the way to provoke a crowd while attending the game with his pregnant wife. By the way, if a crowd attacked me, I probably would have shattered finger and one broken hand as well (from trying to protect myself).
  23. Do you really think that a guy who attended the game with his pregnant wife after going to Niagara Falls mocked a large group of Bills fans?!?
  24. Whether this happens elsewhere, I always liked to think that people from Buffalo were better than that. I still think that the core group of people from Buffalo (and Bills and Sabres fans) are better than that, but unfortunately, I have seen the behavior of others that taints the rest of us. I have a four year old son that I have wanted to take to a game, but sadly that is probably going to have to wait until he is older.
