I know that a few of you have gone to English Premier League games. I am thinking about going to London at the beginning of March. If I go, I would like to see Arsenal play. They are home against Reading. I would think that I should be able to get a ticket either through an internet source or at the stadium before the game. Do any of you have advice on what is the best way to get tickets? Thanks in advance.

We should have gotten rid of the ugly ass uniforms that we have had the past few years long ago. I totally agree that we should return to the previous unis.

I did. I also do not regret taking the position that the starting QB position should not be given away without competition. I also do not regret taking the position (for years now) that the key to the Bills' fortunes lies with upgrading the lines. I also do not regret defending WM against the haters on this board who seem to hate him for reasons that having nothing to do with his performance. Haters: WM does not have any heart and will not play with an injury. Fact: WM played with broken ribs and a bum anke for the second half of the season. Haters: WM is not a Buffalo guy and will leave the first chance he gets. Fact: WM buys a house in Buffalo and would like to extend his contract with the Bills. Just before the first game of the season, WM says that he would like to win the game for the City of Buffalo. Haters: WM has no speed and cannot break the long run. Fact: WM ran for a 57 yard TD. Haters: WM dances (when they are not saying he is only a straight ahead runner). Fact: How often does our line allow the defense to penetrate behind the line of scrimmage. WM is the least of our worries. The sooner we upgrade the O-line the sooner we will go to the playoffs. -

As for Edge, the .8 yards per carry difference illustrates just how important an offensive line is. I got to believe that even you realized that notwithstanding your post. As for WM, you said he is not fast. I gave you a prime example that contradicts your thesis. If he were not fast, he would not have outran defensive backs ever. The same thing with strength. If he were not strong, he never would have run over Ray Lewis. If you want to go over each of his carries over his career, come on down to Miami and we can do that on my new Sony XBR. -

See post about Edge above. [by the way, I recall posters on this board saying before the season that WM was no Edge]. Speed - He outran defensive backs on his 57 yard touchdown. Strength - He ran over Ray friggen Lewis this past week to get a first down. He is not the fastest guy on the team or the strongest, but he has a combination of speed and strength for a running back that makes him pretty damn good. I just wish that the line gave him more time and space. -

Edge's average last year - 4.2 yards per carry. Edge's average this year - 3.4 yards per carry. Gee, I wonder if the Cards' offensive line had anything to do with his average plummeting by .8 yards per carry?!? -

Of course it does. He asked about production. That is production. Where in my post did I say that WM is better than OJ or Thurman? I never said that, and I do not think that either. I am glad that you mentioned OJ though. I was pretty young when he was with the Bills. OJ's first years with the team are fairly instructive about the importance of having a good offensive line. You may or may not know that OJ was not as productive in his first few years as he was once the Bills upgraded the line. I specifically remember people complaining that he "danced" too much. Does that refrain sound familiar. It was not until another Saban (Lou) became the head coach and the Bills upgraded the line that OJ reached his potential as a RB. You may want to ask how much importance Edge places on having a good offensive line now that he has been with the Cardinals for a year. -

Production? Which Buffalo Bills running back was the fastest to rush for 2,000 yards in their career as a Bill? You may also want to compare RJ's production with JP's (who, most everybody here thinks, may just be the Bills' QB of the future). -

You are going to confuse the Willis Haters with logic and good reasoning. -

I think that it would be great for the Bills for the Dolphins to hire Mularkey. -

I think that the Dolphins should replace him with Mularkey. -
The Bills actually finished with a winning record . . . against the spread. According to the ESPN spreads, the Bills were 9-4 against the spread. There was no line in 3 games according to that site. 9-4 against the spread -- If only I had known?!?!

How good is our offensive line? Answer: Not very good. I know that many of you on this board have an inflated opinion of our offensive line (in the context of evaluating our starting running back). The fact remains that we were tied for 25th in the league in sacks allowed (even though we have a pretty mobile QB) and were 27th in the league in rushing. Let's not kid ourselves. If this team is going to be successful, we have to upgrade the offensive line (as well as the defensive line).

Which team had the most disappointing season?

Maybe I am biased -- I just love it when Miami sucks. -

Miami for sure. Down here in South Florida, they were crowning them as Super Bowl champions in August. I love they way they went down the drain. -
When ya got no running game, ya got no game
Peter replied to Buffalo Mike1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's wait and see how this plays out. A lot of people around here have said that he is not a "Buffalo guy" and cannot wait to get out of Buffalo. The fact that Rosenhaus is approaching the Bills about an extension shows that he would like to stay with the Bills. His teammates seem to respect him a lot and he has been a good team player. Is he LT? No. Is he one of the elite backs in the league? Not yet. Can he be? Yes. Even with our substandard offensive line, he has been one of the better backs in the league over the past few years and each defense that we have played has respected him more than anyone else on our offense. If the Bills offensive line improves (and JP shows the same upward trend that he has shown in the past year), our offense could be pretty damn good. We have some weapons. We just need to be able to create time and space. -
Was Willis a better back than Frank Gore @ Miami?
Peter replied to Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Canes have been blessed with some pretty good backs in recent years: Edge, Portis, Gore, McGahee. Edge's cousin (Baby James) started much of the season this year. He has shown some flashes. I have no idea whether he will be as good as the backs mentioned above. -

He ran over Ray friggen Lewis to get a first down. Go ahead and believe what you want to believe though. -

Peter replied to Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is difficult to tell who would have started in the end, but Gore's injuries made it an easy decision. Prior to the season, Frank Gore was the presumptive starter. Gore has had an outstanding season. He also is supposed to be a great kid. He came out of college early to pay for his mother's medical needs. She has a bad kidney and is on a transplant list (as I recall). It is nice to see him do well. -
Losman did not have one of his better days. He makes some plays that leave you scratching your head. Yet, having said that, I feel a lot better about him than I did last year at this time. He made some great throws this year and others that were . . . . He has shown enough improvement that there is still hope that he can be the QB we would like him to be. There are parts of his game that he really needs to work on. With any luck, by the time we upgrade the line (if that ever happens), he will be where we need him to be. In fact, a better line would really help him in any event. It should be a priority this off season.

Respect our running game? That is about all the Ravens did. They stacked the line of scrimmage most of the game. How many times do you see a defense play with only three defensive backs the amount of time the Ravens did?!?
