Give me your plan to win the Superbowl in 2010
frogger replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure if he is still availible, he may have re-signed with the Ravens or will be fran'd, but Suggs, then convince him that he will do what is best for him and put his hand down and play RE. Sign Mike Peterson, sure he's older, but we lack aged good players that can have an impact, injuries and issues with head coach del rio make him a rather cheap addition. He could be placed at any LB position. Sign Brian Dawkins, he is still one of the very best FS in the game, If we are going to make a giant leap into the playoffs we are going to have to take on some older players, worked for the pats, jets (maybe) and other teams that take these chances. then the question remains, are we going to stick it out with Edwards? Scenrio-I feel that if Bradford or Stafford are there where we pick we have to take them, however that would mean they would have to get past Detroit, Seattle, St Louis, KC and the 49ers, all which could use a new QB. So lets stick with Edwards here. 1-Brian Orakpo or Michael Johnson, both potential could play LE or be rotated in. 2-Chase Coffman-I think he is going to be a great TE in the NFL, a Dallas clark/Todd heap (when healthy) type a smart chain mover. 2b-after trading a 3rd (2009) and next years 2nd we draft Terrence Cody, a sprained MCL or ACL (not sure which) may make him fall, also a 5.5 40 will not help, but he is a Ted washington/Shaun Rogers like player. 6'5 and weighing somewhere near 375, he paired with Stroud, Suggs and Orakpo or Johnson could make for an interesting line. 3b-after trading Aaron Schobel for a third-IMHO there are 5 Centers in this draft better than Fowler and Preston, Jeff Byers is one of them, on the smaller side sure, but he could be a huge steal, at one time he was considered one of the potential best linemen in USC history, injuries have taken that honor away, he has been pretty healthy so far this year and could be had here. 4th-Curtis Painter-Purdue product, has had a very good career. Has played in cold weather, and since Losman is gone, we need a 2nd or 3rd stringer, here is someone that could potential start one day. 5th-Jorvorskie Lane FB/short yardage spec 6' 285-could be a thunder to Lynch and Jackson's lightning 6-Cedric Dockery-brother is Derrick Dockery, could be a good back up 7-who cares sure its far fetched -
the eagles didn't draft a QB in the 2nd round to sit him, and McNabb counts for something like 11 million on their salary cap next year, and nothing if he is let go...he'll be availible, if we can out bid chicago we would have a chance to get him. I don't expect to find a QB any other way. a QB that is from the north and played in the north...these Cali guys need to go!

Jabari Greer has been our best defender, if anyone he should be a pro bowler

I still blame Bush, since being elected we have not seen the Bills in the playoffs. Bush hates the Bills

Bobby April has some work to do

losing Aiken, Stamer and Haggen, I guess, was bigger than I thought. Our coverage teams suck so far this season. Lindell needs to kick through the end zone. -
I've never been to another stadium other than the Ralph to watch football, anyone else going?

Over/Under on Youboty moving from Nickel to CB

After last season I thought Greer was our best Corner, if any starter gets replaces it will be McGee...but I don't think that will happen -
Congrats to Bell, the moment I heard his story, I was a fan. I am a little concern about our lack of TEs, Royal and two injured undersized guys

"As a nation, I think we're ready for a black president. I think we are. But I wouldn't want to be that guy. It'd be TOO HOT!!! There's too many crazy people out there, you'd never know when somebody was looking to take you out. But I'd have a plan. I'd appoint a Mexican vice president. Who's gonna shoot me now!!??!!" so his running mate will be Bill Richardson? wow! Dave is good.

He's from the Orlando, Florida area, I meet him at a friend's wedding several years ago, at the time he was just starting off with the Cheifs. He seemed very nice, and was huge then, he was the only one not in a suit, I think he had a hard time finding one to fit those pipes.

Gas Prices affecting Memorial Day Travel Plans?
frogger replied to stevestojan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
it's not one acute gassing, it's chronic gassing. If family A is only going one place all year, and takes the bus the rest of the year that is understandable, however that 20 dollar difference each week,(driving to work et cetera) over the course of the year will take a toll from their expendable money. and with many Americans living paycheck to paycheck and not seeing an increase in wages. The price of Gas does make a difference. Your finally statement pretty much says it all, you're right, you shouldn't be making travel plans. over the last ten years gas has gone from less than a dollar to 4. But have we seen wages follow this trend? -
giving him a shot would mean that 1) we don't feel that Johnson, Strout, Williams and McCargo can handle the DT position 2) if we kept 5 DT active than that's one less Special teamer we would have active. I think that Booger is near the very end of his career, 3 years ago was one thing, today is another. I feel that we could get better play out of the 4 mentioned above. Also why take a spot of a player that could play special teams, we always have a strong Special team unit, we need to keep it this way. I'd rather keep a gunner like John Wendling active over a rotational guy like Booger.

3 players that might help us
frogger replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mario Manningham is a punk. Doucet would be a better choice, he's much more physical and working in the slot he is quick not fast. Roy Schuening-the guard could be made into a Center, he is a very smart player, many had him as the top guard (if albert was a tackle) also Zuttah Josh Barrett could be a special team ace with his size and speed and moved to will backer, where he could be a dime LB. Brad Cottam is still there, I feel he will be the best TE of this draft, he runs the seam very well, and at 6'8" and 270 pounds what LB or DB could keep him from doing it (he runs a sub 4.7 40) great teams are built on day two -
say what you may, that would be a great draft. McKelvin and McGee would combine to be our McCorners. both are great returners, if either gets an Int we can expect great things. In the league were more and more teams are trying to spread defenses out, having 4 good corners is very important. James and greer are pretty good too. Jordy Nelson is already a fan fav here, having never played a single play in Buffalo, nor even being drafted by Buffalo yet. Davis, while I'd rather have Cottam, he has more natural talent than any other TE in this draft. He would hopefully reach his potential in Buffalo. I'd expect between 300 and 600 yards a year from him. Adibi, wow a lot of people have him going in the 2nd round. With Crowell coming off of an injury and in his last year of his contract this would make sense. and Johnson, good small school athlete we need depth at DE, he provides it.

John Wendling, starting FS or SS if they move Whitner to FS

Is there any possibility of us trading up for Sedrick Ellis?
frogger replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't believe that the Ravens will trade down and if they do, so be it. I think John McCargo will be everything that Marv thought he was drafting a few years ago. If Matt Ryan is not there the Ravens will draft an OT (Clady) to one day replace Ogden, I am not sure they are sold on Gaither. -
Based on the newest NFL network mock first 10 picks: 1-Leodis McKelvin-CB-everything you want in a CB. With McGee, Greer, and James adding McKelvin would give us one of the best dime packages in the league. 2-Limas Sweed-WR-I think if buffalo picks a WR in the first round it will open the flood gates on WR, but since the 11th pick was a CB I think it will open the gates on CB leaving several WRs in the 2nd round. another option may be Hardy, but his off the field issues will scare buffalo. If Hardy and Sweed are not there I wouldn't be upset reaching for Nelson here. better in the 2nd round to reach than the first. 3-Brad Cottam-TE-St 6'8" 270 pounds you would think he is a blocking TE, but running a 4.68 forty proves he can open the middle. While the film on him is not really availible, what I've heard is he is a cross between Witten and Ben Utecht, not bad at all. 4a-Owen Schmitt-FB-has the ability to pound the middle as a short yardage specialist, but he'll earn his paycheck blocking and catching swing passes. 4b-Marcus Howard-OLB/DE/ST-Great athlete, may be used as a Pass rushing specialist, but will earn his pay on Special teams 5- Paul Hubbard-WR and Special teams-could be another red zone option but his size and speed could make him very good as a special team gunner. 6-Jamey Richard-center-he has potential, he played for the Bulls, he at least knows the city. 7-Malik Jackson-LB/ST-special teams, Haggens 4 game and Stamer's leaving makes this important 7b-Marcus Griffin-for depth, safety and special teams-impressive interview on Sirius, he seems to want to play special teams 7c-Kevin O'Connell-QB-Practice squad material-looks the part....at very least

Miami-Jake Long, chris long would be a LB in the 3-4, and Gholston would be a better option if they decided on a LB. While Jake isn't in the same league as a joe Thomas he'll remind tuna of Jumbo elliot St Louis-Chris Long, fits well in Hasletts attacking defense Atlanta-Glenn Dorsey. interior defense needs help. QB could be addressed in the 2nd..they have 3 picks there. Oakland-Darren McFadden, they need a big named draft pick KC-Matt Ryan, they need a QB, Brodie was 0-6 last year. Jets-Vernon Gholston easy Pats-Ryan Clady...one may wonder why, but they lost the super bowl because they couldn't provide enough protection. Baltimore-Jeff Otah, Odgen is near retirement and they still need a RT. they didn't invest that much into McGahee without addressing the line. Cinci- Sed Ellis interior defense needs something NO Roger-cromartie-fills need and coaches get the hottest corner on the market Buffalo-would be happy with McKelvin or Harvey here, I see reasons to get either. I would be content with a first day like this McKelvin Nelson (unless someone falls into the 2nd or we move into the 1st again) Top DE or TE

I find it funny that there are so many here that feel that Dallas wants that 11th pick that bad. I understand that they love McFadden. Several teams do, but he will not make it to 11, also two first rounders are far too much to give up to go 11 spots higher. Dallas could move into the top ten where McFadden will be taken. plus I am really starting to like Harvey the DE from Florida. At 11 we should draft him. 1-Harvey-the Giants beat the Pats with pressure. Schobel, Kelsey, Denney and Harvey will put pressure on QBs all year. 1b/2 (I think we trade up to get Devin Thomas, 2nd this year and a 2nd next, insures we get a WR we like) Devin Thomas 3 Charles Godfrey-if there, would be an instant upgrade to the dime package. has the size and speed to handle big WRs 4-TE-lots of depth in the TE draft, but no one so special to use a first day pick, when it is all said and done I think 3 TEs will be drafted on day one. 5-interior OL...Center or Guard...not to start, the OL last year was much improved and why mess with it. more depth, better depth is always good. 6-another WR, again the depth in this draft is strong at WR, we will be amazed at the names in the 6th 7-another DL that may have fallen
-
he is one of those tweeners, they think he can be a safety or Corner. I like the speed, the tackling ability and size. he still is a bit of a project. but he is from the same program that gave the colts the Defensive player of the year. 3rd would be a dream come true. he would push Youboty out the door. I think Godfrey could start in time but as a rookie be an upgrade at the Dime.

pittman does little for me, If given the option of trading that 2nd and a future 3rd rounder for Turner or drafting Pittman I don't think there is any question who I'd pick. We need a back that attacks would be tacklers, makes them feel the sting of a cold December game in Buffalo, not one that can be taken down with a single tackler. I think that is why Henry had a few good years here. he was willing to attack. not sure where he was drafted in that mock but a WR that i am really starting to like, is Mike Walker out of UCF, I didn't think he was that fast, but he ran a 4.35 and at 6'2" and 210 he has the size to be a #2, he was very productive in college, even without much of a QB.
