  1. The wings are small, the ribs need more sauce, we need one more Guard... You're never satisfied..
  2. Those top 5 guys could play immediately. That would be a dream draft.
  3. Speaking of , when does your Vince Young crusade end ?
  4. I'm well aware TE is deep in this draft. I don't know if we would look beyond Davis, who is a rare player. That's all I'm saying. Too many other needs. Whitworth will play LT. Many of those others you mentioned are strictly RT's and cannot move. Trueblood is a prime example.
  5. I basically look at positions I perceive the Bills to have a need at and then write down as many good choices as possible per position, regardless of what round they're projected to be selected in. "Ejamacated" guesses on the Bills needs and the players that would fit our team. Most based on notes I made during the college season and the all star games and practices I viewed. Plus some sharp analysis from our scouting friends at Ourlads. QB - None, although a middle round flyer on McNeal of Texas A&M is tempting, if we aquire extra picks in a trade down. WR- We're down to 11 - None RB - All the good ones are gone after Round One - None TE- Davis is definitely tempting but if he's gone before #8 - None OT ( LT) - Ferguson should be gone. Whitworth of LSU is a possibility if we trade down in Round 1 or a shocking pick at #8. Maybe Scott of Texas in the middle rounds but he seems to be sliding. OG - Jean Gilles of Georgia, Lutui of USC, Spencer of Pitt and Joseph of Oklahoma are the 4 Guards who could step in and start immediately. 1 or more will still be there with our 2nd Round pick. Anyone selected after that would need time. C - Will Montgomery of Virg. Tech may be hanging around on Sunday and be a sharp Day 2 selection. 6-3 312 3 year starter and getting better every game. DT - 1st 2 Rounds - Bunkley of Florida St., Watson of Michigan,McCargo of NC State, Oshinowo of Stanford, Lewis of Virginia Tech. Middle-Late Rounds - Adams of Nebraska, Mahelona of Tennessee, Smith of Nebraska, Paxson of Penn St. DE - Middle Round pass rush specialists - Wyche of Syracuse, Gocong of Cal Poly, Tapp of Virginia Tech. ILB - Day Two Only - Schlegel of Ohio St and Robinson of Arizona St. OLB - Middle Rounds - Jon Alston of Stanford and Terna Nande of Miami of Ohio are perfect Cover 2 LB's with speed. CB - Depends on what happens with Clements. Only if he's traded on draft day does this come into play. A deep position. S - There are 6 that could play immediately - Huff of Texas, Allen of Tennessee, Simpson of South Carolina, Watkins of Florida St. , Whitner of Ohio St. and Bullocks Of Nebraska. All may be gone by Round 2 or early Round 3. Conclusion - The only hope I have is that the Bills don't pass on a starting Guard in Round 2 but we'll see. I haven't a clue how Round 1 or anything else will fall in this Draft, despite all the mock drafts I've read. Anyone can project and throw darts. It's all a guess but there's some of the players that fit this team and could really help us. DT has lots of choices, so I won't be in full panic if we don't have one selected by the end of Round 2. I'll pass on Ngata. Flame away.
  6. What if we select NEITHER ? He's a Guard for Prarie View, BTW...
  7. Pat Riley and Nick Saban were secretly married in the Bahamas.
  8. Focusing on one favorite player to make or break your draft is defintely the way to go.
  9. If Clements is expecting a 12-18 Mil bonus in a massive new contract, what are the odds the Bills will give it to him ? You have been reading the papers lately, concerning the the CBA and $$ concerns ? That doesn't bode well for Clements in Buffalo, which is why he may not be signing his franchise sheet . Maybe...maybe.. he is trying to force something. If so, a draft day trade is needed to receive something in return. This draft IS deep in CB talent, so now would be the time to address the situation, if indeed there is an impass. We'll know in 2 weeks.
  10. Willis just bought a house in OP and Fairchild was working with him, prior to this first camp. I'm not worried about him. Might be working on a new deal and was advised to sit tight to not risk injury. Clements is another story.
  11. He'd always have a bruised chin , coming out of the locker room shower.
  12. ...Since most high schoolers down South are usually between 19-30....
  13. I picture Marv doing a lot of nodding as Modrak tells him what to do.
  14. The article was just a personal bellyache without any merit. Much like hundreds of posts here.
  15. In a deep draft like this one, you get Quality IN Quantity.
  16. In examining the talent pool, Bunkley and Justice are not the last chance to get a good player at their respective positions. There's actually many rotation DT's who offer talent and value into Round 3, so missing out on Bunkley isn't the end of the world. Same for Justice, who isn't even a natural LT. Whitworth of LSU is rated higher by Ourlads and would be a fine pick. Trading down brings several different players at various positions into the mix, showing how deep this draft is. It would also possibly gets us and extra 2nd round pick, which is huge. A trade won't happen until teams see what is occurring ahead of us. A certain desired player has to be sitting in our slot, with other teams convinced he will be gone within 2-3 picks after ours. 10-15 minutes is more than enough time to pull the trigger on a trade. The value chart takes a few seconds to add up the agreed compensation.
