Dec 4 Hicks will get the starting nod at tailback for the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, replacing the injured Kevan Barlow, who will be inactive with a sore left knee. The veteran running back will handle the majority of the carries, as regular backup Frank Gore is also sidelined with injury.
Advice: In nine games this season, Hicks has 113 yards and one touchdown on 17 rushes, as well as four catches for 21 yards. He could be a decent sleeper pick facing a questionable Cardinals defense.
Dec 5 Davis was in the Panthers' starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Atlanta Falcons, but he picked up just eight yards on five carries before giving way to DeShaun Foster, who handled the bulk of the rushing load the rest of the contest. After averaging 17.7 carries and scoring 12 touchdowns over his first nine games of the season, the veteran running back has rushed just 16 times with no scores over his last three games combined.
Advice: The Panthers will continue to split carries between the two backs, but it appears they are now more comfortable with Foster getting the majority of the work. Davis could get the call in short-yardage/goal-line situations, but the player with the most value in Carolina's backfield currently is Foster. In 12 games this season, Davis has 526 yards and 12 TDs on 176 carries.
Cant say either way....Hicks maybe a sleeper but Davis may get goal line...good luck
