Have you heard of WR Amba Etta-Tawo??
Wayne Arnold replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was a beast for Syracuse last year. I was shocked when he went undrafted and am still shocked that he's not on an NFL roster. He'll find a practice squad somewhere and will be getting real reps by December at least. Syracuse plays in the ACC and has one of the toughest schedules in the country every year. It ain't the MAC. -
McDermott: Bills Need More Urgency from Dareus
Wayne Arnold replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes sense that Dareus would choose a guy who threatened suicide to his girlfriend because she hurt his feelings to be his role model rather than a man whose done nothing but the right thing on and off the field for 10+ years in the same organization. -

It was the heat. Really difficult to get drunk when it's that hot out.

McDermott: Bills Need More Urgency from Dareus

Sounds like something Yogi Berra would have said. We should have known this was destined for failure when Dareus held his contract-extension interview with Chris Brown on buffalobills.com high as a kite. -

I tend to agree with you there but at the same time the HC's construction of his coaching staff shouldn't be held hostage by one high-maintenance player regardless of how overpaid he is. -

What would be considered a "true mentor?" Last year he got Karl Dunbar fired and replaced with John Blake, but that didn't seem to have much effect. -

Dareus has no interest in being great. He's fine with just being a guy because it's easier. That's obvious not only through his actions but things he says, like how he's "just a piece of the puzzle." It's a cop-out for underachieving. -

There's nothing anyone can do to get Dareus re-engaged. He's an adult now whether he acts like it or not. It's up to him. -

People having been saying "this is Kyle's last season with the Bills" for the last 5-6 years. If it's up to the coaches and front office he's not going anywhere. Ultimately it will be up to Kyle but I don't see it being a slam dunk that he calls it quits after this season. He's still playing at an extremely high level. -
4) DE Shaq Lawson Snaps on the Field: 43/70 Grade vs. Broncos: B+ - For those that listen to the Bills Beat podcast (you can subscribe on iTunes here), you’ll have known of the type of effort that Shaq Lawson has put it on a weekly basis to start the 2017 season. He already has three sacks to his name, but that isn’t the most impressive part of his game at this stage of his career. Lawson has proven over the first three weeks to be a ferocious run defender in this scheme, bull rushing his offensive lineman wherever he wants in an effort to either make the play, or to set up one of his defenders to bring down the ball carrier. If he continues to learn from Jerry Hughes in the ways of rushing the passer (the way that Hughes did with Dwight Freeney in Indianapolis), he could become a big part of this defense for the foreseeable future. He’s off to a great start in his career. http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-buffalo-bills-all-22-review-vs-denver-broncos-9_26_17-?page=2

Marcell Dareus treats the Buffalo Bills like the NFL

That's a good one. Definitely deserves its own thread. -
Dennison's offense is consistent
Wayne Arnold replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We knew as soon as Lynn and the entire offensive coaching staff left that there would likely be a step back in 2017. A lot of the problems on offense is the result of an offensive line's growing pains in learning this new blocking scheme, not to mention our most valuable OLineman (Glenn) being hurt. We've faced very good defenses the first two games and they have stacked the box on the Bills to stop the running game. Tyrod and the receivers need to do a better job and when they do the running game will open up. -
I literally forgot Dareus existed today until about two hours after the game and heard him mentioned on WGR. MD has stolen millions from this franchise.

Watkins was traded because GM Beane felt that a 2018 2nd round pick > keeping a wide receiver for one more year (a wide receiver that has never proven he can be counted on to play an entire NFL season healthy).

PFF: Bills are 31st for time for Taylor to throw.
Wayne Arnold replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's the same unit that led the best rushing attack in the league last year and was #2 in 2015. But now they're "not good period"? -
I've watched the first two episodes and have the other three on DVR and the next five scheduled. Knew little about Vietnam aside from the 60's protests and it was a mistake and movies and stuff. So I've been looking forward to this since I heard about it in the spring. I'm loving it. Not quite to the level of the Civil War, at least from a emotional standpoint. But it's important to realize that it really began in 1858 when France invaded Vietnam and decided "the white men from Europe are in charge now." Nearly a century later the Vietnamese were still under French rule and were barely recognized by the USA until World War II when Japan invaded and the United States and Ho Chi Minh became allies. Minh praised the US as a champion of democracy who would surely help them end colonial rule. Fast-forward 10-15 years and one could say the Americans betrayed Ho Chi Minh. I'm not saying he was an angel and his political preferences were out of whack but the guy just wanted his Vietnamese people to be free of European colonization. Perhaps most interesting is that it was JFK who first knew that we needed to get out of Vietnam...and yet refused for political reasons.

It can be both. Yes, Tyrod's mobility contributes to the time. But Tyrod also holds the ball way too long because he's slow to read the field, slow to react, and hesitant to pull the trigger.
