Its very simple. Who cliched the AFC East ? prior to tonight's game. Answer - no one If Buffalo won tonight, who clinched the AFC East ?? Answer - no one It all would have ridden on week 17 to determine the outcome of the division. We lost any chance of winning the East by losing tonight. No game is a give me and anything can happen in any given week. NE clinched by defeating US.

Amazing how its the same poster, you and a few others who consistently feel the need to express how you can see through my BS. ive been a fan of this team my whole life and a member of this board for 8 years. If you have a problem with my opinions, ignore them as I do with yours and others. Grow up.

I don't see a "huge" improvement. I see us squeaking out wins against terrible opponents. I see a defense that carried us to the playoffs. I see a qb who is completing 58% on the season and is averaging under 50% in our losses. I see a schedule that will be much harder next year because of our success next year. If Allen doesn't take a huge step forward next year we could be in serious trouble by late October. I know it hurts a lot of people's feelings to say this because Allen is a great human being and a very likeable person, but Im not seeing a franchise Qb in the making.

Being ranked at the bottom of the league at the Qb position despite the upgrades and consistency around him for the second year in a row, I voted 20%. Consistency as a qb is the difference between a back up/journeyman and a franchise Qb. Lack of consistency and accuracy will seal his fate. I really believe if it doesn't drastically improve next year a Qb change can come as soon as midway next season. (by way of benching)

The expectations of too many fans are out of whack
TwistofFate replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A 10-4 team is expected to win. Inside that locker room, they expect to win. This organization as a whole under McDermott, expect to win. The Bills are past moral victories. Next year expectations will be higher especially after this season, hopefully, with a major step forward at the Qb position (not holding my breath) and a TON of cap space this team should and will be expected to perform at a much higher level. The schedule will be harder, expectations will be much higher and they will need to produce and win against quality opponents. As it sits right now, this team expects to win and there are no more moral victories and that's right out of McDermott's own mouth. -
Denial on this board is unbelievable. Find ANYONE outside of buffalo in the sports world, who doesn't call out josh allens performance as the main reason for this loss. Find ONE. ill be happy to post every major sports outlets accessment of this game, no problem. Allen didn't cut it....period. game on the line...in the redzone... 4 chances to tie the game... You failed. You failed with a wide open KNOX. Everything else is irrelevant.
-
Ignore the facts? Ignore Allen overthrowing a wide open Knox on the first drive. Ignore his terrible pass on 3rd down to knox to tie the game. Ignore missing a wide open Beasley multiple times. I don't care about Qbr, i care about completion % and making the big throws when you need to win. This offense was aneimic, and a big reason was Allen not completing the wide open passes we needed.

A couple? What game were you watching? How anyone could defend allen is beyond me. I challenge anyone to find one analyst, one sports commenter to say Allen wasnt the problem this week. It WONT HAPPEN. We were picked against this week by everyone BECAUSE OF ALLEN. Everyone how is anything said Allen wouldn't do enough to win this game, and he didn't.

You do realize the offense is supposed to score points, right? Overthrows, bad throws, and bad sacks have nothing to do with the defense. How many points is the defense supposed to hold playoff teams to week after week? We are 28th passing in the league, we have a bottom ranked Qb and people have the audacity to blame the defense that carried tjis team all season. Un-be-lievable.
-
I love how people want to blame the defense. How many 3 and outs? How many yards passing up until the final 2 mins of the first quarter? Come on people! The Defense was on the field all game, with virtually no break because the second they made a stop, the offense couldn't do squat and they were thrown right back out there. The offense and Allen in particular is to blame. You cant have 50% completion and 19 yards passing with 2mins left in the first half....period.
