Yea so frustrating. They moved the ball too , got first downs, just bad starting field position and inconsistent play killed us. I love that we immediately and aggressively addressed the issue from a scheme perspective though, probably taking NEs next OC, great hire I'm, he has grown alot as an OC. He definitely missed some easy ones but alot of that is attributed to fooling him with our coverages and having Bortles off balance, panicking and ultimately being inaccurate .McD did a fabulous job of disguising coverages all year and we got pressure at a decent rate. We allowed one red zone trip ! And really should have never allowed the first FG before half, terrible play calling on O there. The D has some really nice pieces, that secondary ,as a whole is at least top 3 .

Shady Wants to Keep His "Lil Coins" in 2018
JerseyBills replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He did have too many negative plays and they are drive killers, but I think so much was on the OC , Shady looked great to me as far as burst, vision , catching and cutting ability. It was just a broken scheme. I think he has at least 2 elite years left. He doesn't take hits like the average RB , I would like to add a fairly high RB in the draft to complement him. -
Sal Capaccio: What you need to know about Brian Daboll
JerseyBills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know!! We likely advance in playoffs with the Roman scheme. Where was the zone read?!? That was our bread and butter with Tyrod/Shady and reason we were one of the top red zone teams in 15 and 16. Boggles my mind why coordinators change dominant aspects of the O or D.. -
Was Saints loss equivalent to Homerun Throw-Forward?
JerseyBills replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Idk. I can only imagine being a Saint fan , expecting to have a legit shot at a SB ring and all that going down the drain on a fluke play. Tough. -
Marrone, Dareus, and the Jags: don't call it luck
JerseyBills replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly! We played the Jags tooth n nail , in their building. We can compete with the big dogs and I believe we get a nice upgrade throughout the roster. Future is bright -
Exactly. McDaniels is gone. He was with NE for 4 years, he was likely OC. McD swooped him up immsdiately ,not giving NE a chance..! And he'll have knowledge of their offense. Warming up to the hire.
-
I'm optimistic because of how decisive McD and Beane were. They obviously strongly believe in the same principles and he gets to choose his QB essentially. I love the hire. McD stole him from NE!

Did McD jump Belicheck??
-
That's an impressive 5 year stretch, some good references! I'm sure he's grown a great deal as an OC , he showed it with the Tide, he's an interesting hire, I like it

I agree. I trust McDs judgement. Clearly they share the same offensive philosophies and I trust this staff made the right call.

[Please Change Title]Cam newton
JerseyBills replied to Chicharito's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well our staff knows the real Cam. If McD believes he's the right guy,I'm on board. This staff earned my trust.. I'd give up a lot for Cam, reunite him with his best friend,KB. Maybe he requests to come here with the McD/Beane/KB connection and feels we can win now -
At what point do we say Antonio Brown is the GOAT?
JerseyBills replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Before this season I was watching ESPN. I saw his last 4-5 years numbers and was blown away. His dominance, consistentcy and availability is amazing. He's the best doing it by far. Goat is a different story, highly debatable -
Gotta go after a feature running back
JerseyBills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um that had a big impact but if you take Shady off that offense, them turnovers wouldn't mean much cause our offense only put up 10 points or something. He was the offense. -
Hmm. He is definitely up there but the injuries are the first thing that comes to mind, he can be invisible in certain games. AB seems to impact every game! And he's always on the field. My number 2 WR would be Keenan Allen, but again, injuries have killed him. He might be better than AB if he can stay healthy.
-
Wow. Clear cut best WR since Megatron. Give AB the crown. Was never a big fan but his play n numbers, his consistentcy is truly amazing. Rare talent Bouye hasn't allowed a TD all year!

After that weak coverage on the Bortles bomb , I realized how important the position is and thought about how good this secondary is and feel there's no reason to downgrade at CB2

For the 24th consecutive season...
JerseyBills replied to Wayne Arnold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes ATL has been a big disappointment. We beat them up at home, saw chinks in their armor. The biggest reason? The loss of Kyle Shanahan -
And give credit to McD and our D. We went on road and dominated defensively
-
Re sign Gaines immediately. Keep this elite secondary intact
-
I agree, and it'd really make our run game dynamic and a challenge for defenses. I'd throw away age with Shady. He apparently works out as hard as anybody and the main thing is he doesn't take shots like the average RB. Very very rarely does he take a big shot because of his running style, I think he has 2 elite years left, he showed zero signs of slowing down to me and adding a legit complement can preserve Shady and make the defense worry about 2 completely different running styles. Shady runs so unique, it can throw a defense off n will help Shady's production as well
-
I'd LOVE that move. I think it would have such a positive impact on the whole offense. I even made a thread about it. It'd be very important I'm and gets overlooked imo.

Pegula Jet currently headed to Alabama
JerseyBills replied to BrooklynBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes he would. Get Smith/Cousins. Draft stud RB and RG (can get great value on guards in later rounds) , move Glenn to RT, get a WR or 2 in FA and our O is good $. You got a bunch of draft capital and FA to turn the D into an elite unit, they're on their way -
That's probably true. Ben definitely has an impact on AB's numbers but he'd still do damage in Buffalo, he's just that good, Better than Jones,Green,Hopkins etc. He'd make it much easier on an OC to dial up big plays
-
Ben has a ton of star power as well. Best WR in the game. Top 3 RB . Always seems to have a competent D. Kelly is overlooked but he got Wins and that's the only stat I truly care about for a QB.
