  1. A neverending process...
  2. Thanks for the heads up. I guess $3 per month won't break the bank. I can live w/ it.
  3. I doubt they will for subscribers. That would be ridiculous. Maybe for people who browse their site and don't subscibe; that I could understand.
  4. Nope. Firewall. No Sirius, Youtube, Hulu, basically no streaming broadcast and/or video stuff. I used to be able to listen to the stream of Rivals Radio before (great for pre-draft info), but even that has been taken away.
  5. I guess it depends on where you're @ in the building. A former co-worker had his boom box (so he could listen to Stern) and it worked 'til his antenna broke.
  6. Yep. That's the segment I heard on the way to work. I really need to get either a boom box or a stiletto radio so that I can listen to Sirius while @ work.
  7. If he (Cross) just said that, he must be repeating what he said @ the top of the 7am hour. What Cross doesn't understand is that the teams that can make the steady, fiscally sound purchases usually have a bigger incentive on their side than just cash: they have the hardware. If you're a team that is in search of said hardware, or a team like the Bills who are in search of LOTS more just to get to the point of contending for said hardware, you have to overspend to get the kind of talent that's going to help you get there. Not that he'd have any interest in coming to Buffalo, but say Albert Haynesworth was being wined and dined by the Bills. What incentive would he have to sign w/ them other than a boatload of cash? The allure of three straight 7-9 seasons? Maybe getting to play w/ one of the worst pass rushes in all of football? The stable and successful coaching staff?
  8. Every message board has its share of "whiny depressing people" and then some. To think that bb.com is some kind of refuge from this is inaccurate.
  9. Labatt, why give up high draft picks for a TE, when we still have issues up front? The Bills have zero centers, cut their starting LG, and the RG ain't all that, either. Not to mention there's little in the way of pass rushing DEs and a LB unit that needs a serious infusion of talent. Given all that, I say no to bringing in a tight end. Given all those other deficiencies, what good will it do? They'd be doing what they've been doing for years: spinning their wheels. A trade like that is a good way to ensure a fourth consecutive 7-9 season.....or worse.
  10. Didn't you answer your own question?
  11. Okay... He'd be one of my top choices. I don't anticipate it happening, but I sure would be happy if it does. I dunno. Kinda long in the tooth. I'd rather see the Bills get younger, bigger, and nastier up front. Oh goody; another undersized LB for our vaunted defensive scheme. Woo hoo. If the price isn't too steep, why not? Well, we do need an experienced backup. I'd like to see him work out first, but if he's not too expensive and he works out well, not an altogether horrible move. Way better quality @ LB in the first round than DE. Of course, if we get Cato June, it would probably mean a stubborn adherence to our current scheme, where big, quick pass rushing OLBs don't seem to be desired. Oh well. I like getting a quality TE in the 2nd. Maybe if Coffman is there, we snag him. If we are able to come out of this w/ upgrades @ center, TE, LB (hopefully NOT Cato June), and maybe G, then there would be reason to get hyped up for the 2009 season.
  12. Aww, whadda you know?
  13. Which site are you referring to? I saw no link in any post to a "site". All I saw were the different "teams" shown. Uh huh.
  14. What for? Why don't we just put the All 1990s Bills team out there and call it a day? Seems like things are headed in that direction anyway.
  15. Or, he may not care 'bout how the media is treating this year's Warren Moss/Randy Sapp. True, Brown isn't the most free spending owner out there, is he? I could possibly see them passing on Smith to move down (if they can find someone willing to move up) to be cheap. But, if they plan to stay @ their spot, I think it would be dumb for a team that needs quality O line help to pass on a quality O lineman.
  16. Punters are considered defensive, not offensive.
  17. Coverage teams are not considered "offensive" in regard to special teams. Are you saying he'd be your return guy?
  18. Thanks one and all. Don't be too harsh on Beerball. He knew it was last week, but didn't know the exact date. My birthday week was nice and relaxing. No work and no travel: my favorite kind of vacation!
  19. Yes! Now we'll get some heat off the edge.
  20. Well, let's not be hasty. I'd give up 2 first day picks for this guy easily.
  21. If the Bills were a good receiving TE away from contention, I could be sold on this too. Considering the Bills still have a weak pass rush (translation: need pass rushing DEs and OLBs), need to bolster the interior O line, and still need to add a solid DT to their rotation, that is far too steep a price to pay.
  22. I dunno. My hindsight is pretty darn good on this topic.
  23. We don't want rational thoughts on the Wall, Johnathan. It doesn't fit our scheme.
