  1. There are no winners.
  2. Maybe so, but what did you think of this game....
  3. I had a cousin who played for the Zips in the late 80s/early 90s. If you were there @ the time, I'm sure you knew him.
  4. If the question isn't year specific and covers eras, then I'd have to agree. Any team that can win back to back titles.......TWICE.......in the period of 6 years should be considered among the best ever.
  5. It's a legit question. In Baltimore, he has LBs like Ray Lewis (legendary in his pursuit of ballcarriers and has a knack for making big plays), Bart Scott (fierce hitter and pass rusher), and Terrell Suggs (as good as they come @ defending the pass in the flat and also one heck of a pass rusher) playing alongside him. Not to say that he isn't talented and wouldn't be an upgrade, but w/ the (lack of) talent 'round him were he to have been selected by the Bills, I don't know how much of a factor he'd be.
  6. Sure did, once Noll opened up the offense and let Bradshaw go to work w/ Swann and Stallworth. Defensively, they were very good too, but not nearly as good as in '76, when they put together a brilliant 9 game stretch where they allowed a grand total of 29 points and pitched 5 shutouts. If they didn't have such a bad start to the season and had Bradshaw not gotten hurt, this team may have gone down as the best of all time. As for which team is the best I've seen, it's either the '85 Bears or the '91 Redskins.
  7. Uh huh. Absolutely. I think he is an outstanding LB prospect. If by some miracle he was available when the Bills come up to draft, they'd be stupid not to take him, as he is truly the draft's top defensive prospect.
  8. Well, hopefully, the Bills aren't so married to a scheme that they'll lose out on top talent. If this guy is the top talent available w/ the pick, they should by all means make the pick. We got rid of those "big, slow, and fat guys" like Pat Williams in order to make our defense more svelte and quick. Has it worked thus far?
  9. As I said, I do like the guy and he would be an excellent addition to any defense. But, if people believe his presence alone will make our LBs and DEs play the run better (these guys have fundamental flaws in their technique) or drop back and defend RBs and TEs in the flat better, then they're kidding themselves. It's better to hope for a stud DT to go along w/ the Bills' current crop of LBs and DEs getting their collective heads out of their collective a**es, buckling down, and doing a better job of handling the basics of their position. 'Til that happens, don't expect much out of the Bills' front 7.
  10. Having a 2 gapper in there (that's Raji) would certainly help our run defense and could also free up our LBs to do more in terms of coverage and rushing. Problem is, we've seen fundamental problems w/ our LBs and DEs over the last few years in terms of poor pursuit angles, lack of discipline (chasing plays down the line instead of "staying home" on reverses), slow reaction time in terms of dropping back to defend the pass, and drag down tackling instead of hitting through a player and bringing him down for little to no gain. Not much a massive 2 gapper can do to change that stuff, unfortunately.
  11. NO!!! Damn them. Well, Shonn Greene is pretty good, I'd say.
  12. Honestly, I don't see it being an issue, Pete.
  13. He sure would. No question. I just didn't want people thinking that he was a pocket collapsing interior pass rusher.
  14. Jason Smith is looking pretty impressive to me (also a decent sounding guy from his interview on Sirius a few days ago), but he'll probably be gone by the 11th pick.
  15. I like Raji a lot, but he's not a pass rushing interior lineman. He's more in the mold of a Casey Hampton, Vince Wilfork type: clog up the A gap and tie up blockers. For that reason, he's tailor made for teams looking for a dominant 3-4 NT.
  16. It would be the AD who would pull the trigger and the media relations/sports info guy who would relay it to the media. No GMs in college.
  17. Yeah, what a tool. The guy answers questions straightforward, and tries to inspire players w/ his enthusiasm. He has no place in today's NFL.
  18. He is the best AFC redzone runner.
  19. Good luck. I hope you find it.
  20. I thought that he was in line for an O coordinator job somewhere. Maybe w/ the Jets, if they can get Tannenbaum to let go of Schottenheimer?
  21. Yeah, I knew 'bout Saban's connection to Brown. He's long been considered part of Brown's coaching tree along w/ Parseghian, Shula, Gilman, Tiger Johnson, and his Cincy proteges like Wyche and Walsh (was surprised to read of the "issues" 'tween he and Brown).
